Now we will consider three unique apartment layout options with with total area 33 sq. m., which are suitable for different people.

Please note that all work related to the dismantling of walls requires coordination with a special organization.

Information

  • The I-507 series multi-story structures were built from the 1950s to the 1970s. They are a clear example of Khrushchev. Later versions are called Brezhnev's. Mass construction of these unusual houses was produced in various districts of the northern capital.
  • There are several types of buildings that differ from each other depending on the footage, layout and level.
  • The height of the structures is 5-7 tiers; ceilings - 260-280 cm; apartments from one to four rooms.
  • The load-bearing structures of the building are facade and inter-apartment longitudinal partitions.
  • The advantages of these buildings are that they are located in superbly developed neighborhoods with excellent infrastructure, close to the metro; cons - small footage, no elevator, insufficient thermal insulation.

Option number 1: an apartment for a single man

To form a living space in the form of a studio with maximum open space; accentuate the area for storing clothes; plan a large kitchen area and breakfast nook, as well as a cozy toilet; well positioned bookshelf and a place to watch TV shows and movies.

AT small studio interior only partitions in the bathroom and two transparent glass panels were left. One of them separates the front area from the boudoir, and the second is located behind the TV.

In the kitchen area, a U-shaped countertop is combined with a window sill and three walls. She organically goes into a huge table for a meal for six people. At the same time, the decoration of the guest salon was equipped with a small sofa with a TV, a bookcase and a coffee table.

The advantage of this redevelopment is mobility. You can easily move the furniture in the dining room and living room, forming different compositions.

The bathroom was enlarged by moving the walls, which made it possible to place all plumbing fixtures and household appliances. A large closet was placed at front door. It makes it possible to accommodate all the clothes, while not visually cluttering up the room.

Advantages

Clear and concise zoning and free planning; minimalist Interior Design; spacious toilet; large wardrobe, magnificent decoration of the kitchen and dining area. The bedroom is in the distance, which allows the owner to easily retire.

Flaws

Storage systems are located near the front door, one isolated room is a bathroom.

Option number 2: an apartment for lovers

Create a separate bedroom, a comfortable corner for work, a wonderful guest lounge for reading, relaxing and watching TV; design functional areas for storage; form an open and spacious living area.

Interior walls are on display, a new boudoir is being set up opposite the cooking area with desk. The remaining room is great for a large and roomy living room. The partition on the left side of the front door is used for the location of the wardrobe.

tabletop kitchen set connected to the window sill, the sink is placed opposite the window opening. Also in the spacious kitchen there was a place to store household items. Diagonal walls widened the corridor.

The kitchen and guest lounge become an integral space, and a dining table is installed between them. The place for watching TV is equipped with a small sofa, a coffee table, ottoman and console chest of drawers.

All plumbing is wonderfully located in the toilet - a huge Jacuzzi, a washbasin and a washing machine.

Advantages

Original open floor plan; comfortable boudoir and guest salon, practical kitchen with a breakfast corner, spacious storage system, excellent bathroom; availability of work space.

Flaws

There is no fixed dining room; one wall is fully equipped with shelving.

Option number 3: apartment for a couple with a small child

Design a space with two separate rooms for sleeping, a large and comfortable living room, as well as a spacious wardrobe.

In this redevelopment option, it is necessary to insulate the balcony for its further attachment to the room. In this case, the window sill becomes a bar used for a meal. The kitchen is moved to the central part of the apartment. Next to it is organized a recreation area with a sofa, TV, practical table and bookcase.

In the old place of the kitchen area, a nursery is equipped with a work area, spacious lockers and a bed. In the parents' boudoir there is a bed with deep drawers for linen. It is separated from the living room by a small screen that does not visually clutter up the space.

A wardrobe is organized in the front area, and small shelves are on the balcony. The bathroom was reduced, while the shower and sink were installed in different corners to save space.

Advantages

The most efficient use of the potential of the room, a huge area for rest and play, a cozy children's and parent's bedroom, a lot of lockers for clothes and other things.

Flaws

Since the kitchen is located in the center of the apartment, the smell of food can spread throughout the apartment, redevelopment requires significant capital investments and approvals in the BTI.

Designing a one-room apartment is not an easy task. This is due to the fact that the only living space should perform several different functions at once - provide an opportunity for work or study, serve as a place for communication, relaxation and night sleep, and in some cases, be at the same time a children's room. In addition, the footage of such apartments, as a rule, does not allow the designer to apply standard solutions, it is not enough just to fence off a corner for each zone, it is also necessary to preserve the feeling of free space to the maximum, which increases the comfort of living.

Here are 12 of the best modern designs of one-room apartments.

1. One-room apartment 42 sq. m.

The use of light colors in the design of the apartment made it possible to create coziness in a small space and maintain a sense of spaciousness. The living room has only 17 sq. m. area, but all the necessary functional areas, and each of them performs several functions at once. So, the recreation area, or “sofa”, at night turns into a bedroom, a relaxation area with an armchair and a bookcase can easily be converted into a study or playroom for a child.

The corner arrangement of the kitchen made it possible to organize the dining area, and glass door"to the floor", leading to the loggia, added light and air.

2. Design of a one-room apartment without redevelopment, 36 sq. m.

In this project bearing wall turned out to be an obstacle to changing the layout, so the designers had to act within the given space. The living room was divided into two parts by an open shelving - this simple solution is very effective in many cases, allowing visual differentiation of zones without cluttering up the space and reducing the light flux.

The bed is located by the window, there is also a kind of mini-study - a small bureau desk with a desk chair. The rack performs the function of a bedside table in the sleeping part.

At the back of the room, behind a shelving unit that doubles as a bookcase and showcase for souvenirs, is a living room with a comfortable sofa and a large TV. A full-wall wardrobe allows you to store a lot of things and does not clutter up the space; its mirrored doors visually double the room and enhance its illumination.

The refrigerator was moved from the kitchen to the hallway, as a result, space was freed up for the dining area. Hanging cabinets on one of the walls were abandoned to make the kitchen seem more spacious.

3. One-room apartment 40 sq. m.

A good project that shows how convenient and taking into account all the requirements for the modern level of comfort to equip an apartment for one or two people, while not resorting to changing the original planning solution.

The main room is the living room. From the furniture in the room: a comfortable corner sofa, a large-screen TV mounted on a hanging console - on the opposite wall. For clothes and other necessary things, a voluminous storage system is provided. present and Coffee table IR, which adds completeness to the interior. At night, the living room transforms into a bedroom - the unfolded sofa forms a comfortable place to sleep.

If necessary, the living room easily turns into a study: to do this, you need to open two doors of the storage system - behind them is a countertop, a small shelf for documents and books; the work chair slides out from under the tabletop.

In order not to burden the space, which is already not too much, the kitchen abandoned the traditional top row of hanging shelves, replacing them with open shelves.

With this places where you can keep kitchen utensils and supplies, even more - the entire wall opposite the work area is occupied by a large storage system with a niche in which a sofa is built. Next to him is a small dining group. A rationally organized space allowed not only to save free space, but also to reduce the cost of kitchen furniture.

4. Modern studio apartment 37 sq. m.

The design of this one-room apartment is 37 sq. m. every square centimeter is used. Sofa, armchairs and coffee table, forming a corner of rest, are raised to the podium and thus separated from the total volume. At night, a bed is pulled out from under the podium: orthopedic mattress provides a good sleep.

The TV panel opposite is built into a large storage system - its volume made it possible to correct the initially irregular, too elongated shape of the room. Beneath it is a living flame, covered with a bio-fireplace glass. A screen is hidden in the box above the storage system - it can be lowered to watch movies.

The kitchen, which is small in size, contains three functional zones at once:

  • a storage system with a worktop and kitchen equipment is built along one of the walls, forming a kitchen;
  • near the window there is a dining area, consisting of round table and four designer chairs around it;
  • on the windowsill there is a lounge area where you can relax and drink coffee over a friendly conversation, enjoying the views from the window.

5. Project of an apartment with a dedicated bedroom

Even in a small one-room apartment, you can have a separate bedroom, and for this you don’t need to move the walls or build the space according to the studio principle: the kitchen occupies a separate volume and is completely fenced off from the rest of the apartment.

The project provides for the location of the bedroom near the only window. There is a standard double bed, a narrow chest of drawers that performs the functions dressing table and one bedside table. The role of the second bedside table is performed by a low partition between the bedroom and the living room - its height allows you to maintain the feeling of a large space and provides daylight to the entire living area.

Lilac wallpaper with a delicate pattern is in harmony with the mustard color of the walls in the design of the kitchen, made in the same style as the room.

6. Apartment design 36 sq. m.

maximum functionality and impeccable design– these are the main advantages of the project. The living room and bedroom were visually separated by wooden slats: starting from the bed, they reach the ceiling and can change orientation similarly to blinds: in the daytime they “open” and let light into the living room, at night they “close” and isolate the sleeping place.

Light in the living room is added by the lower illumination of the console chest of drawers, effectively highlighting the main decorative piece of furniture: a coffee table made from a cut of a huge trunk. On the chest of drawers is a bio-fuel fireplace, and above it is a TV panel. Opposite is a comfortable sofa.

The bedroom has a double-use wardrobe that stores not only clothes, but also books. Bed linen is removed in a drawer under the bed.

Due to the angle kitchen furniture and island - ovens, managed to organize a small dining area.

7. Corner apartment 32 sq. meters

In the project of a one-room apartment, the residential volume is divided into two: private and public. This was done thanks to the corner location of the apartment, which led to the presence of two windows in the room. The use of IKEA furniture in the design made it possible to reduce the budget of the project. Bright textiles were used as decorative accents.

Ceiling to floor storage separates the bedroom and living room. On the side of the living room, the storage system has a niche for a TV, as well as shelves for storing things. Near the wall opposite is a structure made of drawers, in the center of which sofa cushions form cozy place for relax.

From the side of the bedroom, it has an open niche, which replaces the bedside table for the owners. Another cabinet is suspended from the wall - you can place a pouffe under it to save space.

The main color in the design is white, which makes it visually more spacious. The dining table is foldable to save space. His table top natural wood softens the strict style of decoration and makes the kitchen more comfortable.

8. The interior of the apartment in a modern style

The main condition set before the designers was the preservation of the isolated position of the kitchen. In addition, it was necessary to provide for a fairly large number of storage places. The living area was supposed to accommodate a bedroom, a living room, a dressing room and a small office for work. And all this - on 36 square meters. m.

Main idea modern design one-room apartment - the division of functional areas and their logical combination with the help of contrasting colors of the spectrum: red, white and black.

Red in the design actively highlights the seating area in the living room and the office on the loggia, logically connecting them together. The black and white delicate pattern that adorns the headboard is repeated in a softer color combination in the decoration of the office and bathroom. A black wall with a TV panel and a storage system visually pushes the sofa part, expanding the space.

The bedroom was placed in a niche, having built a podium - it can be used to store things.

9. Project of a one-room apartment 43 sq. m.

Having at their disposal a standard "odnushka" series 10/11/02 PIR-44 with a ceiling height of 2.57, the designers decided to use the square meters provided to them to the maximum, without redevelopment.

good location doorways allowed to allocate space in the room for a separate dressing room. Partition lined in white decorative brick, as well as part of the adjacent wall - the brick in the design highlighted a place to relax with an armchair and a decorative fireplace.

The sofa, which serves as a sleeping place, was highlighted with the help of wallpaper with a pattern.

A separate resting place was also organized in the kitchen, replacing two chairs in the dining area with a small sofa.

10. Apartment 38 sq. meters in a typical house, KOPE series

The combination of white, gray and warm beige hues created a relaxing, calm atmosphere. The living room has two zones. Near the window there is a large bed, in front of which a TV panel on a bracket is installed above a tall narrow chest of drawers. It can be turned towards a small seating area with a sofa and a coffee table, accented by a solid beige floor carpet and located at the back of the room.

The upper part of the wall opposite the bed is decorated with a huge mirror attached to the wall on a special frame. This adds light and makes the room visually much more spacious.

The corner kitchen provides plenty of storage space. The combination of gray oak fronts of the lower row of cabinets, white gloss of the upper and a shiny surface glass apron adds a play of textures and brilliance.

11. One-room apartment 33 sq. m.

The design of the apartment is in modern style- a lot of wood natural materials Nothing extra, just what is needed. Glass was used to separate the sleeping area from the rest of the living space - such a partition practically does not take up space, it allows you to maintain the illumination of the entire room and at the same time makes it possible to isolate the private part of the apartment from prying eyes - for this a curtain is used, which can be pushed back if desired.

In the decoration of the isolated kitchen, white is used as the main color, and the color of natural light wood serves as an additional color.

12. Apartment 44 sq. meters from the nursery

An excellent example of how competent zoning can achieve comfortable living conditions in a limited space for a family with children.

The room is divided into two parts by a special structure built for this purpose, which hides the storage system. From the side of the nursery, this is a closet for storing clothes and toys, from the side of the living room, which serves as a bedroom for parents, there is a capacious storage system for clothes and other things.

In the children's part, a loft bed was placed, under which there was a place for schoolchildren to study. The “adult part” serves as a living room during the daytime, at night the sofa turns into a double bed.

Furnishing a one-room apartment can be both an exciting process and a daunting task. Create comfortable interior for a bachelor it will not be difficult - you just need to correctly think over the functional areas and storage systems. But the organization of space for a family with a schoolchild is a challenge that not every professional will accept. Together with designer Diana Maltseva, we offer three ergonomic layouts of a modest 39-square-meter odnushka house in the P-46 series for different types of residents.

Diana Maltseva - interior designer, graduated from the British high school design. Her passion is the creation of modern and functional interiors American style that combine traditional décor with a sense of convenience and casual luxury.

Before proceeding with the redevelopment of an apartment, I always advise you to analyze the situation: how many people will live in it, what is their lifestyle, habits. The answers to these questions will allow you to correctly plan the space for the specific needs of each family, make the interior functional and cozy. Studying the layout options offered today, please note that they can always be adapted to suit you. For example, if you are a fan of house parties and the topic of hosting is relevant to you, a full-fledged bed can be easily replaced by a pull-out sofa. Considering that a one-room apartment has a very limited interior space, a natural solution is to make its areas multifunctional. For example, the living room will be transformed into a bedroom, and the kitchen will turn into a relaxation area with a TV and a music center. For small spaces, neutral colors in the interior with moderate bright accents will be a win-win option. Today, many people like to turn a one-room apartment into a studio - an option when the partition between the kitchen and the room is dismantled and one volumetric space is created. I think it's good decision for small apartment designed to accommodate one or two people. However, it is important to consider that in one-room apartments of the P-46 series house, the wall between the kitchen and the room is load-bearing, which means that it cannot be dismantled.

Brief information house series P-46 Houses of the P-46 type series, developed jointly with Czech designers, were built during 1971-1998. AT last years houses of the P-46 series in Moscow were rarely built, mainly in residential areas, since P-44, KOPE, and the "Olympic" P-3 appeared. Distinctive features- a variety of options for number of storeys and the use of different color facade solutions. As a rule, the facades of houses are brown in color, but solutions in white and blue are often found. The area of a one-room apartment is 39 sq. m. Ceiling height - 2.64 meters. An even number in the marking indicates that the P-46 series has a residential ground floor. P-47 - the same series, but with a non-residential ground floor and without rotary block sections with three-room apartments. In the early nineties, the P-46 series was replaced by the more modern and comfortable P-46M series.

Option number 1: apartment for a bachelor or couple Task: often for young people or a couple it is required to equip an apartment in such a way that it can not only relax, but also receive guests, arrange home friendly gatherings, not limited only to the kitchen area.

Solution: the ideal option is to highlight a separate living area and it is desirable to zone the room. Light partitions are appropriate in the room, isolating a full-fledged sleeping place. Choose mirrored ones - they will add lightness and spaciousness to a small room. The sofa in the living area can be used both for receiving guests and as an extra bed. We combine a bathroom and a bathroom. At the same time, in the former bathroom area we have a spacious shower cabin. The latter can be equipped with a steam generator (hammam function), massage nozzles and a built-in radio. Alternatively, ditch the unsightly shower tray and install a shower drain directly into the floor, and use glass doors instead of doors, or leave the entrance completely open. The washing machine is built under the countertop of the sink. On the loggia we provide a separate place for drying clothes. And, if you additionally insulate the balcony, then you can even equip a full-fledged home office here. Pros and cons: of the advantages - the layout is easy to implement, it does not involve significant changes, the construction of additional walls. If desired, the toilet and bath can be left separate. Interior partitions that separate the private area are light and easy to install. Of the minuses - there is little storage space in the apartment.

Who will suit: young people for whom the issue of storage a large number things are not relevant yet. Priority in this layout is given to the possibility of comfortable rest and reception of guests.

Option number 2: apartment for a couple Task: the second layout option takes into account the interests of a couple for whom the house is a place for personal relaxation. The hosts do not often host noisy groups of guests, but at the same time they need a lot of space to store personal belongings or sports equipment.

Solution: due to the hallway and part of the room, we allocate a separate wardrobe area. In the bedroom we have roomy chests of drawers for personal belongings, and we also install a wider than in the first version, a comfortable bed for relaxing. A full-fledged bath for relaxation appears in the combined bathroom area. We hide the washing machine under the sink. On the insulated balcony we organize a separate working area and a place for drying clothes. Pros and cons: this layout option provides for maximum storage space, and the allocation of a separate dressing area makes it also hidden, thereby unloading a private area from bulky furniture. The bedroom is large and comfortable. Of the minuses - the lack of a full-fledged living room, however, it remains possible to receive a small company of guests in the kitchen area.

Who will suit: a couple of any age who prefers to rest and relax at home, and meet guests outside the walls of their home.

Option number 3: apartment for a couple with a child of school age Task: if in a one-room apartment the task is to take into account the needs of a family in which more than 3 people live, and the “third” is no longer a baby, but a schoolboy, compromises cannot be dispensed with. It is required to think over not only the most comfortable accommodation for classes and recreation, but also the use of public areas: after all, parents and the student must leave the house at the same time in the morning, and the time for gathering is limited.

Solution: when zoning a room with one light source, it is naturally better to take the area by the window to the child - it will be more comfortable for him to study and relax. We place the parents' zone closer to the wall, fencing it off with a rack, a double-sided cabinet or dense, but lightweight partitions (as in our first version). Dividing one space into two separate zones will also help visual reception using various finishing materials. This layout includes 2 full beds (child and adult bed). Depending on the needs of the family, if desired, they can be replaced with folding sofas, thus solving the issue of a more comfortable reception of guests. With such a task, it is important to be aware that it is not possible to equip two comfortable, independent, private zones within a one-room apartment with a light source on one side. But it is quite realistic to think over a more comfortable use of public areas, for example, to equip a second bathroom with a sink at the expense of the corridor zone. With this layout option, the entrance to the kitchen will have to be moved by arranging an opening in the load-bearing wall and strengthening it metal structures. Permission for redevelopment requires coordination with the competent authorities. Pros and cons: instead of one, we get two full-fledged bathrooms at once. The expansion of the bathroom through the corridor will allow you to additionally install both the sink and washing machine under her. Of the minuses is the difficulty of arranging 2 full-fledged private zones in a one-room apartment, taking into account the needs of all seven members. It makes sense to do an open kitchen area if it is possible to equip it with modern technical means- First of all, high-quality hood.

After the joy of buying an apartment, the question arises, what to do with it next? In panel houses, this issue is especially acute. Of course, for a married couple, the size of the apartment allows you to create a cozy and comfortable interior. But what to do when you need to accommodate a family of four in the same conditions? Together with the architect Anastasia Kiseleva, we offer five successful layouts for a one-room apartment in a P-3M series house for a variety of tenants. In addition, we turned to an expert on the coordination of redevelopment and analyzed each option.

Anastasia Kiseleva - architect, manager. Each new project for a professional, it is first of all new acquaintances, inspiration and interesting discoveries. BUT perfect interior- a space thought out to the smallest detail, in which a person may not think about his movements and actions.

Brief information: P-3M series house

  • The typical P-3M series was developed on the basis of the P-3 series and is considered one of the most comfortable among panel houses.
  • External walls - with a total thickness of 30 cm. Transverse inter-apartment walls - 18 cm thick, longitudinal reinforced concrete panels- 14 cm thick. It is possible to dismantle the walls between the room and the hallway, as well as between the bathroom and the toilet.
  • Advantages - isolated rooms, large bathrooms, the presence of a large hall, with the possibility of arranging a dressing room, a built-in wardrobe. Disadvantages - load-bearing wall between the kitchen and the room, lack of a balcony.

Option number 1: apartment for a couple or a bachelor

A task: to move to new apartment in the shortest possible time and minimize repair costs.

Solution: we refuse redevelopment and use all the possibilities of the apartment when arranging furniture. In the kitchen, we rely on the L-shaped set and put a large dinner table. In the room we provide a folding sofa as a bed and a working area by the window. In the hallway we are building a partition to separate the dressing room, in the corridor we place a built-in wardrobe. In the bathroom we equip the household unit for household chemicals, we also place a washing machine in it. We add a small washstand to the toilet.

Pros and cons: the simplest and most popular option without redevelopment and additional work. An isolated kitchen remains here and a spacious wardrobe appears. Among the shortcomings - a sleeping place on the sofa, besides, the desktop is in the same room with a sleeping place - the solution may be inconvenient for a couple.

Option number 2: apartment for a couple

A task: organize a comfortable space with a separate bedroom for a couple who plans to have a baby.

Solution: redevelopment is also not needed here. In the room we have a full bed, next to the door we put a spacious wardrobe for every day. We organize a multifunctional space in the kitchen: we place a folding sofa by the window and choose a table with an adjustable top. For the hallway and the bathroom, we use the design solution as in option No. 1.

Pros and cons: a huge advantage of this layout is a spacious bedroom, in which there is a place for a baby crib up to three years old. A nice bonus is an extra bed in the kitchen. Among the shortcomings - a small area of \u200b\u200bthe kitchen-living room.

Option number 3: an apartment for a family with a child of school age

A task: plan a full-fledged sleeping place for parents and provide a separate area for the child.

Solution: we dismantle the non-bearing partition between the room and the hallway and erect the partition closer to the front door. To the niche that has appeared, we arrange a sleeping place for parents. The bed can be separated from the rest of the room with textiles or sliding partitions. For the child, we provide a folding sofa and a working area by the window with drawers for personal belongings.

We combine a bathroom and a toilet - we get a bathroom with an area of 4 square meters. Here we place a large bath, a toilet, and a sink and washing machine we combine with a countertop and install a cabinet for storing household chemicals and towels. In the hallway there is a spacious closet for seasonal items.

Pros and cons: of the advantages - a large bathroom appears. Cons: the layout excludes privacy both in the life of parents and in the life of the child; little storage space - rely on a bed with a lifting mechanism and tall cabinets.

Option number 4: apartment for a family with two children

A task: equip a separate nursery and provide enough storage space.

Solution: in this option, we rely on redevelopment. We dismantle the wall between the room and the hallway, transfer the wet kitchen area to the vacated area. This is only possible in houses where an electric stove is installed in the kitchen. This is how the studio space of the combined kitchen and living room appears in the room: here we have a small L-shaped suite, a dining table and a sofa bed. In the hallway there is a place for a separate dressing room. And we are converting the former kitchen into a nursery, placing a bunk bed, a work desk, a wardrobe for clothes, shelving for books and a sports corner there.

Solution: we refuse redevelopment and rely on zoning. We divide the room into a bedroom and a living room using a system of sliding partitions. In the bedroom we place a full-fledged bed for parents, a crib and a changing table. In the living room we put a folding sofa.

In the kitchen, a shallow work area and drawers for papers appear along the wall with a window. There is enough space for the headset, the only limitation is that you will have to buy a smaller dining table. In the hallway there is also a large dressing room where you can store a pram.

Pros and cons: such a layout turns a one-room apartment into a two-room apartment: parents have an isolated bedroom, and guests can receive guests in a small living room. Work zone and the bed is divorced different rooms. Of the minuses: the lack of soundproofing between the bedroom and living area.

A one-room apartment in a house of a typical layout is quite difficult task in terms of design. How to turn planning flaws into advantages, how to arrange furniture and finish walls, these questions appear to the owner during the repair.

In the article we will tell you how to make the design of a one-room apartment in a panel house quickly and efficiently.

Design project

First of all, there is a repair plan.

It should include:

  • plan for the placement of all engineering communications (electricity, gas and water supply);
  • layout of all rooms with structural inconveniences (niches, ventilation shafts);
  • calculation of surface areas of each room and assessment of material consumption;
  • proposed arrangement of furniture and an estimate of the cost of its acquisition.

Preparation for repair

After creating a sketch describing the design of the Khrushchev apartment with our own hands, we proceed to carry out repair work.

These include:

  • preparation of all surfaces (ceilings, floors and walls), their cleaning, puttying and priming;
  • replacement of windows, doors;
  • wall insulation;
  • replacement of pipes and plumbing equipment.

After doing preparatory activities, you can start choosing the interior design of a one-room Khrushchev and decide on a specific design style for each room.

After choosing the future design direction, we proceed to acquire the necessary building materials, furniture and accessories.

Subtleties of repair

Kitchen

Kitchen in a one-room apartment

Let's take a look at the kitchen first. Due to the small area of our apartment, the kitchen will perform two functions at once, combining a cooking area and a dining area.

It is necessary to zone the kitchen, dividing it into two sections, in each of which you will have to place all the necessary interior items, combining them into a harmonious composition.

  • The dining area requires bright lighting and a cozy atmosphere, so we place it directly near the window, and use soft pastel shades in the surface finish.
  • The floor in our dining room is best covered with a material that is pleasant to the touch - wooden parquet, laminate or carpet, which will perfectly fit into the design of a Khrushchev one-room apartment.

Of course, if you have an underfloor heating system, tiles and even stone are perfect for covering.

  • The ceiling in the whole room is multi-level, it is above the dining area that you can make a beautiful composition with built-in lamps and colored lighting.

If possible, most of the light comes from the window, so do not use heavy blackout curtains.

Kitchen with dining area

The working area should be as convenient and comfortable as possible, while not taking up much space.

In our case, the design of a one-room apartment for two involves the use of a built-in household appliances to save space and a minimum of cabinets in the kitchen.

  • The standard floor covering is tiles, which must be resistant to mechanical stress and have anti-slip properties.

After the renovation of the kitchen in the apartment, the design of the hall is the next item of work.

A single living room usually combines two functions and is both a place for receiving guests and a place for sleeping.

In this case, it is worth considering several nuances:

  • Try to allocate the darkest and quietest place in the room for the sleeping area. a niche in the wall, a place behind a closet or an artificially fenced off corner. This will allow you to relax comfortably, even if there are guests in the neighboring part.
  • Multifunctional furniture is perfect for decorating the room. For example, a transforming chair that folds out into a single bed can serve as an overnight stay for a late guest.
  • To enlarge the room, use light shades and furniture colors. The floor covering, the pattern of which is directed diagonally, also visually enlarges the room. Mirrors are another way to expand a small room.
  • Lighting in the living room should help with zoning, focusing on some areas and darkening others. A lot of light is not needed above the recreation area, a couple of built-in lamps will be enough, the guest reception area needs to be illuminated much more carefully.

As we can see, the design of a one-room or larger apartment with your own hands is not something complicated. You just need to show a little imagination and take the time to decorate the interior the way you like.
