On September 10, 2002, the body of Khambo Lama Itigelov was exhumed at a cemetery near Ulan-Ude. He died and was buried in 1927, the exhumation took place in the presence of relatives, official observers and specialists.

Such information appeared in the Russian media about the Buryat lama, whose body was taken from the grave at the beginning of the 21st century. The lama was buried in a wooden box, he was placed there right in the lotus position. His body looked like it had been mummified, although it wasn't. Flexible muscles, soft skin, flexible joints. The body was dressed in silk clothes.

In 1911, Itigelov became the Khambo Lama (head of the Buddhist Church). In the period from 1913 to 1917, he participated in almost all royal public events, was invited to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, opened the first Buddhist temple in St. Petersburg, and on March 19, 1917 was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav, which he received from the hands of Nicholas II.

During the First World War, Itigelov created and then supported the Buryat Brothers organization. He helped the army with money, food, clothes, medicines, participated in the construction of several hospitals, in which lama doctors assisted wounded soldiers. For this he was awarded the Order of St. Anne II degree.

In 1926, Itigelov advised Buddhist monks to leave Russia because "the time of the Reds is coming." Itigelov himself refused to leave. In 1927, at the age of 75, Itigelov told the lamas to begin meditation as he prepared to die. The lamas refused to read the prayer, because he was still alive. Then Itigelov began to meditate himself, gradually the students joined him and soon he died.

Itigelov left a will in which he asked to be buried as he was, sitting in a lotus position, in a cedar box in an ordinary cemetery. And so it was done. There was also a clause in the will in which he asked that his body be exhumed after a few years. Therefore, he knew that his body would be preserved.

This wish was fulfilled by Buddhist monks in 1955 and 1973, but they were afraid to tell anyone about it, because the communist regime did not leave a place for religion in the life of society. Only in 2002 was the body exhumed again and transferred to the Ivolginsky datsan (the residence of today's Khambo Lama), where it was carefully examined by monks and, more importantly, scientists and pathologists. The official conclusion reads: the body is remarkably preserved, no signs of decomposition were found, all muscles and internal tissues are intact, the skin is soft, the joints are mobile. The most interesting thing is that the body was never embalmed or mummified.

Now Itigelov's body is in the open air, no special temperature and humidity regime is maintained, people come to him. No one knows how Itigelov's body remains in this state.

THIS IS THE ONLY KNOWN AND UNDISPUTABLE CASE OF THE INCORRUPTIBLE BODY IN THE WORLD. Embalming and mummification is widely known among different nations: Chile (Chinchorro), Egyptian mummies, Christian saints, communist leaders and so on. Some bodies were frozen, but as soon as they got into the oxygen environment, they began to rot literally within a few hours.

Buddhist texts describe such miracles, but in reality there are no such examples. Although no, now there is.

Two years after the exhumation, Itigelov's body showed no signs of decomposition, there was no mold on it, absolutely nothing happened to him. Before his death, Itigelov said that he left a message for all the inhabitants of the planet Earth. This is a message without words. Today it's our turn to try to solve it.

Occasionally Khambo Lama Itigelov, "living" in the Blessed Palace on the territory of the Ivolginsky datsan, appears before the faithful. This happens on holidays, in a year they are recruited 7-8. The precious and inexhaustible body is transferred to the main temple, where anyone can bow to it (and ask for the secret). But if one of the very important people looks into the monastery, XII Pandito Khambo Lama Itigelov can give him an unscheduled audience.

"He serves Russia!"

The list of VIPs who came to worship him (often incognito) is impressive. In addition to the previously mentioned Chubais, Victor Zubkov, Vladimir Yakunin, Valentina Matvienko, Gennady Zyuganov, Oleg Deripaska, Sergey Ivanov. Dmitry Medvedev came to Ivolginsky datsan in 2009 and was received with great honors. After meeting the Precious Body, he said, “Khambo Lama is not just watching us, but also looking after us.” As for Vladimir Putin, then he visited the Buddhist monastery and its main shrine in April of this year and at some point asked to be left alone with Itigelov. The lamas of the monastery are sure that the president was interested in the questions of eternal life, and he was looking for answers to them. At the highest level

Although the scientists who examined the incorruptible body of a person who died in 1927 could not say anything specific (recall their verdict: the body is in a state unknown to science), Itigelov's phenomenon needs to be somehow explained. The intrigues are added by the versions put forward by representatives of the "alternative sciences". For example, that Itigelov suffered from a gene defect that "accelerates the destruction of the cellular structure after death." Or that he turned on the "secret embalming process" when he died. It is impossible to test these hypotheses without taking the biomaterial for analysis, and the access of scientists to the Precious Body has been suspended for some time now.

However, Buryat Buddhists are the last to be interested in the opinion of pundits. After all, they themselves are sure that Khambo Lama Itigelov is still alive! “More precisely, we have two opinions on this matter,” admits Dashi Batuev, keeper of the Precious and Inexhaustible Body. - Some believe that Itigelov achieved enlightenment, blessed his body and left it. In this case, his soul can now be anywhere (in other worlds, next to buddha), and here is only a part of it. But most lamas are of the second opinion: they think that the teacher went into deep meditation and is still in it. That is, for 86 years now.”

It is known that yogis who practice meditation strive to achieve a special state of enlightenment - samadhi. This is the last, highest stage of meditation: a person loses the idea of ​​his own individuality, merges with the cosmos, and his soul becomes able to leave the mortal body. The body itself seems dead from the outside: the physiological processes in it slow down sharply, almost stop (to biologists, this state is known as suspended animation), but a yogi who is in meditation is able to regulate them. And most importantly - his consciousness remains with him! It is alive and functioning, only it manifests itself completely unexpectedly for us, not obeying the laws of logic. Buryat lamas suggest that Itigelov is just immersed in a state of samadhi, and his consciousness manifests itself in the form of ... messages that he daily transmits to the guardians of his body.

“Every morning after the prayer service, the main keeper, Bimba Lama, remains alone with Itigelov, - explains Dashi Batuev. - He meditates on him for about 30 minutes, assessing his condition. And at this time receives information from him. It can be various thoughts, messages, visions. Then Bimba Lama retells the message to the teachers of the Buddhist University, and they write an interpretation. They can write 10 volumes, but usually they write one page.” “Excuse me, but why are you sure that these are all Itigelov’s messages? I must say that "Itigelov's messages" look very bizarre. You need to be "in the know" to understand most of them. But something is quite accessible to people far from Buddhism. Here, for example, is the instruction given to an imaginary drunkard who decided to quit: “Repeat: I try to abstain, but without any special need. If you constantly repeat about your victory, you can harden like a stone and fall off the mountain. It is better to be like sand and let all thoughts pass through you.”

In 2008, on the eve of another unrest in the Middle East, next to Itigelov sitting in the lotus position, the keeper saw a blue flame. And then - the pendulum in his hand. The lamas concluded: the teacher reminds us of the impermanence of life - why fight when life passes so quickly? There were messages connected with the inauguration Barack Obama(allegedly Itigelov predicted that he would stumble when pronouncing the oath) and with that April visit of Vladimir Putin. The day before his appearance in the Ivolginsky datsan, Khambo Lama said: "Buddha Maitreya is coming."

Maitreya is the coming Teacher of humanity, the Buddha of the new world. They definitely had something to talk about with each other.

The shame is even stronger if a deputy or head deceives his fellow countrymen, his fellow villagers! But Khambo Lama still asks us not to rush to judgments and conclusions, since every person has a chance to change for the better. And even to those who deceived the hopes of fellow countrymen and lost their trust. It is the matter of time".

Itigelov’s last prophecy of April 12 also concerns government officials: “Approaching Khambo Lama Itigelov, one lama says: “Khan has arrived.” Khambo Lama said: "Old philosopher." Khambo Lama today emphasizes that a successful ruler must have not only strength, but a philosophical view of things and see them from many sides.

On April 11, Itigelov spoke about the role of men in society: "A man must be ready to serve." The commentary on the prophecy is as follows: “The basis of the prosperity of any society is always a man - if the ruler, then just and strong, if the priest, then wise and compassionate, if the father, then a strong master, caring, reasonable, if sons, then purposeful and well-meaning. All these qualities are united by responsibility and concern for others.

The strengthening of women's influence in the modern world is a forced phenomenon, as a result of a change in the mentality of men, a deterioration in their self-esteem, unwillingness to act, take responsibility and bear it, both for the benefit of their loved ones and society as a whole.

In general, statesmen somehow suspiciously often appear in Itigelov's prophecies. This is how the imperishable Khambo Lama recently spoke about gossip officials: “One boss, in a white shirt and tie, gossips. Khambo Lama says: "A long tongue will wrap around him like a snake." And in June last year, he suddenly gave out wisdom about the elections: “You can see different people with a small body, a big head, and even one-eyed people. Khambo Lama said: "These beings manifest themselves during the elections, their nature will appear from what is written on paper"

As a rule, Hambo Lama nevertheless speaks of eternal values: integrity, faith, sometimes he gives out something philosophical. For example, on June 4 last year, his statement was as follows: “10 pilgrims are going to Khambo Lama Itigelov to worship, but got lost along the way. They could be seen coming out of the big house. To which Khambo Lama said: “They showed too much faith and got lost.” Sometimes he gives practical advice: “One person, pointing to the measure of the earth, said: “We need to put something here.” To which Khambo Lama said: "Put a yurt, the air is clean and warm." Sometimes he even gives out something abstract to his listeners: “When Khambo Lama Itigelov sat with his eyes closed, a blue light came out of his crown like a rocket. Then Hambo Lama said, "Friday."

Well, sometimes the saint gives advice, the specificity of which can only be marveled at: “A foreigner with curly hair asks one person: “We will speak Christian,” the second says: “In Russian.” Khambo Lama said: "Talk to Putin."

According to existing sources about Itigelov, with a high degree of probability Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov was born in 1852 in the area of ​​Ulzy Dobo (now it is the territory of the Orongoy rural administration of the Ivolginsky district of the Republic of Buryatia).

According to legend, on June 15, 1927, XII Pandito Khambo Lama Dasha-Dorzho Itigelov sat in the lotus position and gathered his students. He gave them the last instructions: "You will visit and see my body in 30 years." Then he asked them to read for him "huga Namshi" - a special well-wishing prayer for the deceased.

The disciples did not dare to utter it in the presence of a living teacher. Then the Khambo Lama began to read this prayer himself; Gradually, the disciples picked it up. So, being in a state of meditation, XII Pandito Khambo Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov supposedly went into nirvana.

He was buried in a cedar cube in the same position (in the lotus position) in which he was at the time of his departure.

According to the will, in 1955, a group of lamas led by the 17th Pandito Khambo Lama Lubsan-Nima Darmaev, secretly from the authorities, raised a sarcophagus in the Khukhe-Zurkhen area with the body of the 12th Pandito Khambo Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov. Convinced of the invariability of his condition, they performed the necessary ceremonies, changed clothes and again placed in the bumkhan.

In 1973, the 19th Pandito Khambo Lama Zhambal-Dorzho Gomboev with lamas also examined the Khambo Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov and made sure that the body was intact.

On September 7, 2002, eighty-year-old Amgalan Dabaevich Dabaev, a resident of the village of Gilbira, indicated to Khambo Lama D. Ayusheev the location of Pandito Khambo Lama XII Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov in the Khukhe-Zurkhen area.

On September 10, 2002, XXIV Pandito Khambo Lama Damba Ayusheev with a group of lamas and secular persons lifted the sarcophagus with Pandito Khambo Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov and, having performed the necessary ritual actions, transferred his body to the Ivolginsky datsan.

The phenomenon of the imperishable body of Pandito Khambo Lama XII was allowed to be studied by secular scientists.

With the permission of the highest Buddhist authorities of Buryatia, we were provided with approximately 2 mg of samples - these are hair, skin particles, sections of two nails. Infrared spectrophotometry showed that the protein fractions have in vivo characteristics - for comparison, we took similar samples from our employees ... there is no cadaverous smell either during the opening of the sarcophagus, or now.

An analysis of Itigelov's skin, conducted in 2004, showed that the concentration of bromine in the llama's body exceeded the norm by 40 times.

During the exhumation, it was discovered that Itigelov's sarcophagus was filled with salt, which "in some places harmed his skin - dried it out" (according to Dr. Zvyagin, there was no salt in the sarcophagus until 1973). This, in particular, can explain the phenomenon of fluctuations in body weight (within 100 g) on ​​days of mass visits. Dried tissues or salt can absorb water vapor, increasing body weight these days (several a year). After days of visiting, excess moisture evaporates from the surface of the body, resembling sweat. In the first few years after the opening of the sarcophagus, the body gained weight up to 2 kg annually. For 6 years, the weight increased by 5-10 kg and amounted to 41 kg.

Since January 2005, any medical and biological research on Itigelov's body has been suspended by order of Damba Ayusheev.

In 2002, the head of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia (BTSR), Khambo Lama Damba Ayusheev, together with a group of lamas, raised the sarcophagus. The commission of forensic experts made an examination and drew up a conclusion, which stated that no embalming and conservation of the body had been carried out. For decades it remained incorruptible. Today it is the main shrine of the Ivolginsky datsan - the center of the BTSR. Several times a year, on holidays, Khambo Lama Itigelov appears before the faithful: the precious and inexhaustible body is transferred to the main temple, where anyone can bow to him and ask for the secret.

As soon as the phenomenon of Itigelov arose, they started talking about this event all over the world. Science to this day remains in front of him in confusion. In 2005, at the insistence of the leader of Russian Buddhists, access to the incorruptible body for scientists was closed.

Since then, studies of the phenomenon have been carried out only within the framework of conferences organized by the BTSD. Previously, they were held every two years, but since 2017 they decided to make them annual. The format of the event has also changed - from now on, Itigelov's messages are discussed on it, which come to our world every day through its main custodian - Bimba Lama Dorzhiev. Khambo lama Ayusheev publishes instructions, advice and warnings of the Teacher in social networks.

The chief custodian receives these messages in Buryat, writes them down and takes them to Hambo Lama, and he thinks them over and posts them on his Facebook page with his own comments: in the morning - in the Buryat language, and in the afternoon - in Russian, - she said at a government briefing June 18, press secretary of the Ivolginsky datsan Alla Namsaraeva. - Many people repost these records.

Itigelov's teachings go to the north of China, where the servants of datsans and parishioners comprehend secret knowledge.

The next VII conference, dedicated to the phenomenon of Khambo Lama Itigelov, will be held from June 23 to 24 in the Ivolginsky datsan. Which, however, is not surprising, because the Teacher's instructions, answers to questions and prophecies are not always clear to an ordinary person and sometimes do not have logic that is obvious to the layman. Therefore, everyone understands them in their own way. Among Itigelov's daily messages, there are those that are best remembered and seem especially close.

There was a teaching saying that only the mind elevates a person, - Dymbryl-bagsha Dashibaldanov gave an example. - But, on the other hand, if the mind is positive, then it suppresses arrogance.

By the way, people who know both Russian and Buryat often note differences in the messages. This is due to the peculiarities of the mentality of peoples.
