Under earthworks, in the case we are considering, we mean the preparation of a pit for a strip foundation of small thickness (with a depth of no more than 30-40 cm).

Foundation and floor preparation

Upon completion of earthworks, it will be possible to proceed to the arrangement of the foundation base, starting with the installation of a wooden panel formwork. Its height is chosen in such a way that the foundation foundation rises about 10–15 cm above the ground level (to avoid contact of the building frame with damp earth). At the bottom of the pit, a sand cushion is necessarily made, on which crushed stone or fine gravel is then poured.

Note! In order to strengthen the foundation, it is necessary to use reinforcement laid on the bottom of the pit in the form of a frame that does not have contact with the walls of the formwork.

Upon completion of its assembly, you can safely proceed to pouring liquid concrete mix, made by hand or using special equipment (concrete mixers, for example).

The floor in the combined block can be made earthen (which is highly undesirable), flooded or concrete. The choice of one or another variant of the floor covering, as a rule, is determined by the preferences of the user. The cheapest and most unpretentious in operation is, of course, a simple earthen floor, which is a thoroughly leveled and well-compacted topsoil.

For those who dream of having a more comfortable floor base, the best option there will be a poured concrete floor, on which a screed of special leveling mixtures can subsequently be arranged.

The installation of the frame structure is carried out according to traditional pattern, detailed description which is not the subject of our article. We only note that in the process of building walls, special attention should be paid to timely installation entrance gate, which are first set according to the level or plumb line strictly vertically and only after that are securely fixed on the supporting structural elements.

The easiest and cheapest way to make a frame structure roof is to build a shed roof, equipped according to wooden beams(rafters), which, in turn, are fixed on the walls of the structure. A dense wooden crate is stuffed over the beams, usually covered with inexpensive roofing material (roofing material or slate, for example). In most cases, preference is given to soft roof(roofing felt), having a low weight and not heavily loading the bearing base.

Note! In the process of construction roof structure above the gate, it will be necessary to provide a special overlap with a small visor (or canopy) to protect this part of the structure from rainfall.

Insulation and finishing of load-bearing structures

Insulation of the walls of the frame structure and roofing elements, as already noted, is organized as needed (in the case, for example, when you are going to operate the utility unit in winter time of the year). At the same time, mineral (basalt) wool mats or expanded polystyrene plates are most often used as insulating material, which are placed in the free spaces between separate elements prefabricated frame.

When insulating the roof structure, the same material is placed in the spaces between the floor beams (rafters), followed by the arrangement of waterproofing that protects the insulation layer from the damaging effects of precipitation and moisture.
