Do-it-yourself septic tank from eurocubes is an effective sewerage system for a country house. How to make a septic tank from plastic eurocubes with your own hands Who uses a septic tank from eurocubes

For arrangement autonomous sewerage you can go in several ways. One of them is a septic tank.

This installation consists of 2 tanks, between which there are overflow pipes. sewer drains, falling into these containers, as a result, waste turns into sludge, and the purified water moves on to the bottom. The water leaving the plant is quite clean. Therefore, its entry into the soil is harmless. Here .

Installing a septic tank is more profitable than equipping a standard one. cesspool. Indeed, for a septic tank, the services of a sewer are ordered much less frequently. The vacuum cleaner just needs to remove solid residues that have settled to the bottom. This leads to significant cost savings.

Useful information:

Septic tanks can be budget or industrial production (), or you can make such a sewer device with your own hands from a Eurocube. Of course, the production version is better; it comes with everything that is required for modern waste processing. But it has a significant drawback - the cost, which cannot be called cheap. Arrangement of a sewer collection site from eurocubes is one of the most acceptable options.

What is Eurocube?

Eurocube is a container designed for storage or transportation of liquids. It can be water, food or fuel. The material for the eurocube is polyethylene, the walls of the product are thick and durable. It can hold 1000 liters of liquid. It is not difficult to buy a eurocube, they are sold by economic outlets. Most often, such containers are used to store water in summer cottages, personal plots.

It is known that the normal operation of a septic tank is possible if its volume accommodates the flow of water for 3 days. So, 540 must be multiplied by 3 days. It turns out 1620 liters. This should be the volume of containers for septic tanks. Therefore, it is necessary to take 2 Eurocubes for the arrangement of septic tanks. The resulting system can work without problems. There will even be some stock left. The containers do not even have to be filled to the top mark. After all, overflow pipes are located below.

Advice on choosing sewer pipes

According to experts, they are ideal for arranging sewers plastic pipes having a diameter of 110 mm. This diameter allows you to easily mount the sewer, because the pipe coming out of the toilet has the same diameter.

The filtration system in a septic tank from eurocubes is as follows. Drains from the house go through sewer pipes to the first compartment of the septic tank. Here, heavy particles settle, and dirty water accumulates to the level of half a meter. When the right amount of liquid is collected, the water flows through the pipe into the second part. It is possible to facilitate overflow by deepening the second container about 30 cm lower.

The second part is supplemented with drainage pipes, they are installed at a distance of 20 cm from the bottom. To improve the result, equip a drainage well or field for filtration.

The resulting septic tank needs ventilation pipes. They are inserted into the first and second containers. The height of the pipes above ground level is 2 meters, it is needed so that the evaporation goes up and is carried by the wind. The pipe coming out of the first compartment is fixed so that it starts about 15 cm above the connecting hole. Its task includes not only ventilation functions, but also making it possible to pump out the sludge with a sewer.

Advice! To facilitate the access of the hose of the vacuum truck to the first tank, the pipe should be made detachable. Then you can easily disconnect the upper part of the pipe, and insert the hose of the vacuum truck into the lower part.

When installing the pipe in the second container, it must be placed at a distance of 15 cm from the drainage pipes.

When the preparatory work is completed, the eurocubes must be installed on permanent place in a specially dug pit, and then carefully fix all the connecting elements and pipes. Usually slings are used for this.

How to choose a place for sewerage from Eurocubes?

There are several rules to follow when choosing the ideal location for a septic tank.

  1. Laying sewer pipes should follow the shortest path, it should be straight.
  2. If it is necessary to install a septic tank further than 15 meters, it is necessary to build a revision well, it will be required when blockages form.
  3. If you have to lay pipes with bends, turn wells are equipped there at the places of bends.
  4. The septic tank must be guaranteed unhindered access for the equipment of the sewer.

Features of trenching

A trench is laid under the sewer pipe that connects the house and the septic tank. The colder the climate of the area, the deeper the trench should be made. In the center of Russia, they usually make a depth of 50 - 100 cm. To protect yourself from freezing, it is better to insulate the laid pipe mineral wool or polystyrene foam.

When laying a trench, it is necessary to take into account the slope required for the subsequent movement of drains by gravity. Usually the pipe is laid so that the slope is 2 - 3 cm per linear meter. This means that for 8 meters of a sewer pipe, the difference between the first and last point of the pipe will be 16 - 24 cm.

When the trench is completely dug. Its bottom is covered with a solid layer of sand. This is done so that during operation, the joints are not disturbed due to subsidence, this will be prevented by a sand cushion.

Features of pits for sewerage from eurocubes

It is not difficult to dig a foundation pit for European cubes. The main thing is to follow certain conditions.

  1. The size of the pit must exceed the size of Eurocubes. Only in this case it will be possible to safely place containers there. Do not forget about thermal insulation. You should have a place to place insulation or to equip the strengthening of the container.
  2. The bottom of the pit must be filled with concrete. A solid base guarantees the stability and reliability of the entire structure. Otherwise, individual containers may shift, then the entire structure will be broken. Sometimes a mixture of gravel and sand is used instead of concrete. But this is a less reliable basis.
  3. So that the soil does not crumble and does not put pressure on the walls of the containers, the walls of the pit are closed metal sheets or simple slate.

Advice! The arrangement of a complete concrete box in the pit is more appropriate than strengthening the walls with other materials. To do this, formwork is installed and poured with concrete mortar. When the pit is strengthened, the containers are fixed by attaching them to the base. Otherwise, the entire installation may float under the influence of flood waters.

If you follow all the above tips, septic tanks from eurocubes will become a reliable element sewer system will be used for many years.

The procedure for installing sewerage from eurocubes

2 eurocubes with plastic pallets are being prepared. The volume of each of them should be 800 liters.

Drains from Eurocubes are hermetically sealed.

Measure whether it is possible to insert a tee into the neck. If it does not come out, the neck will have to be expanded. Use a grinder.

Then they bend the edge and re-measure.

They take a short pipe, if there is no short one, you can shorten it to the right sizes any other.

Advice! All work with the grinder should be carried out exclusively with a protective cover and protective gloves. The master in the photo violates security measures. It is not recommended to do so. When working, all precautions must be observed, otherwise everything may end in injury.

Compare the pipe and the tee, see if they fit together.

The sewer pipe coming from the house has a diameter of 110 cm, a hole is made in the tank of the same size, where sewage will enter.

A prepared short pipe is inserted into the eurocube.

Above the location of the tee, a slot is made on top, designed for further installation of a pipe for ventilation. A short piece of sewer pipe is inserted into this slot.

In the eurocube, a round-shaped slot is made for mounting the overflow pipe. It should be located lower than the incoming one.

The edges of the holes are processed.

The second cube is shifted 20 cm below the first one in order to use the volume of the containers with the greatest benefit.

It is necessary to install tees to the connecting pipes so that it is possible to equip the ventilation outlet, as well as to clean the connection area as it gets dirty, then the crust does not form in the lumen.

All joints of pipes and containers are treated with sealant.

This is what the finished joint should look like.

Install a ventilation pipe with a plug.

The steel parts of the frames are firmly connected using welding equipment. Additionally, fittings are mounted. It is needed to enhance strength and rigidity.

Rolling from wood is carried out. Instead, you can use a profiled sheet or concreting.

Since a do-it-yourself septic tank made from eurocubes will not be able to completely purify the water. It is necessary to supplement the system with a drainage field. In this case, you can get good water purification.

Arrangement of the drainage field

The function of the drainage field is to carry out a complete purification of the waters coming from the last eurocube. To do this, a pipe with a diameter of 50 mm is cut into the eurocube. After installing the pipe, the junction is sealed.

The drainage field has several layers that can clean up contaminants of various sizes:

  • a large chipped stone, it is needed to trap all large particles coming out of the pipe;
  • further - sand, to remove small particles;
  • the last layer is gravel.

Conclusion

Sewerage from Eurocubes is not difficult to make, but the basic rules for creating such a treatment plant cannot be violated. Firstly, a proper slope for sewer pipes is necessary. Secondly, the tightness of the connection is required. Thirdly, insulation should be provided. If all requirements are met during construction works you will get a quality sewer system that can serve the house for a long time.

The regular maintenance costs of a septic tank consist of the purchase of special bacterial compounds that are needed for the processing of solid organic waste. You will also have to annually order a sewer machine for pumping sludge.

Thus, the construction of a septic tank from European cubes takes a little time and is inexpensive.

If there is a desire or need to equip a local sewerage system for summer cottage or a house intended for permanent residence as quickly and cheaply as possible, then a good solution could be do-it-yourself septic tank from eurocubes . When using ready-made plastic containers, a septic tank can be built as quickly and simply as possible. However, an installation diagram must first be drawn up, for this you will need to correctly calculate the volume of the septic tank and correctly carry out the installation, only in this case a home-made septic tank will work smoothly.

Having decided to build a septic tank yourself, you need to choose the material for building the chambers. One of the popular solutions is a septic tank assembled from European cubes. Such an installation is going to be quite simple, and the reviews about its work are mostly only good.

As a rule, failures in the operation of the septic tank and various emergencies arise due to errors that were made in the process of drawing up the scheme and during the construction of the septic tank. Let's consider how to make a septic tank from European cubes with your own hands for a summer residence or at home.

What is Eurocube?

First of all, you should understand what a Eurocube is, and why this particular capacity is considered the most suitable for the construction of septic tanks. It is customary to call a Eurocube a container made of plastic, designed to transport various liquid media.

This container is made of polyethylene. It is quite strong, since the walls of the container are quite thick, and on top of the plastic is protected by a reinforcing metal grill. The capacity of the yerocubes is standard and is 1000 liters.

Advice! Eurocubes can be purchased at hardware stores, where it is sold as containers for water. In addition, if it is possible to purchase used eurocubes, it is worth doing this in order to save money, since used containers are also suitable for building a septic tank. The main requirement for used products is their tightness. The container must not have cracks or other mechanical damage.

Preparation for construction

Construction must begin with planning. If there is a desire to make a septic tank from eurocubes with your own hands without pumping out, then at the first stage an installation diagram should be drawn up with calculations to determine how many containers will be required to build a septic tank. The main indicator for making calculations is the water consumption in the house or in the country.

According to building codes, it is important that the volume of the septic tank is able to accommodate the amount of waste that is generated in the house in three days. At the same time, it is important that the chambers are not filled “under the lid”, since overflow pipes will be located in the upper part.

It is believed that about 200 liters of wastewater per person per day. Therefore, to determine the number of containers, you need to calculate what will be the total water consumption in the house.

Advice! An example of a calculation for the construction of a septic tank for a private house in which 4 people are planned to live. In this case, about 800 liters of water will be consumed per day in the house (4 x 200 = 800), respectively, for three days the consumption will be 2400 liters. Considering that the volume of one eurocube is 1000 liters, and the containers should not be completely filled, in our example, three eurocubes will be required to build a septic tank. If it is planned to build a treatment plant for a summer residence, on which there is no bath and minimum set plumbing, then it is possible to take a lower rate of water per person in the calculations.

Construction of a septic tank

After the calculations are made and the scheme of the treatment plant is drawn up, the construction of a septic tank from Eurocubes can begin.

Pit and trench preparation

At the first stage of construction, it is necessary to carry out earthworks. If possible, it is better to use earthmoving equipment. But if this is not possible, you can get by with digging pits with a shovel.

  • Prepare a trench leading from the exit of the sewer from the house to the location of the septic tank;
  • Prepare a pit in which eurocubes will be installed.

When preparing a trench, it is important to remember that the pipe of the external pipeline must be laid with a certain slope, this is necessary so that the drains can move under the influence of gravity. It is very important to maintain the slope correctly, otherwise, blockages will form in the pipe more often. The degree of inclination of the pipe depends on its diameter.

Advice! If a pipe with a diameter of 110 mm is used for the external pipeline of the local sewerage of a house or cottage, the slope should be 2 cm per meter. For example, if the septic tank is 7 meters away from the house, then the difference in the level of the beginning and end of the pipeline should be 14 cm.

The construction of a pit for the installation of eurocubes also has its own characteristics. Here are the main recommendations:

  • The size of the pit should be such that after installing the Eurocubes, the gap between the walls of the tank and the pit is at least 20 cm. This is necessary to make it easier to install the tanks. In addition, care will need to be taken to protect and strengthen the outer walls of the containers, since plastic can be deformed under the action of soil;

  • At the bottom of the pit, a layer of sand and soil with a height of 20 cm is added (when calculating the depth of the pit, the height of this pillow must be taken into account). Then, at the bottom, a screed is poured from a concrete solution with the installation of metal embedded parts for attaching eurocubes;
  • The inner walls of the pit also need to be strengthened. This can be done by installing sheets of slate or metal, but it is best to build formwork and pour the walls with concrete.

Advice! If the measures described above are not carried out, then it is highly likely that due to pressure and ground movements, plastic containers will be damaged or moved. And this will lead to the destruction of the entire system.

Assembly of a septic tank

The next stage is the assembly of a septic tank from eurocubes. It is produced before the installation of containers in the pit. The order of operations is:

  • The place of draining from the eurocube is sealed. To do this, unscrew the cover, lubricate the threads with sealant and screw the cover into place;
  • Since the size of the neck of the eurocube does not allow a tee to be inserted into it, then with the help of a grinder, a temporary hole should be cut in place of the neck by making a cut from three sides and bending the cut out part. After installing the tees, the hole will need to be sealed with rivets and sealed with high quality;

  • Next, you need to take a short piece of pipe and process its edge so that you can then attach it to the tee;
  • In the upper part of the side wall, where the installation of the incoming pipe is planned, a hole is cut out equal in size to the diameter of the prepared section.
  • A piece of pipe is inserted into the hole, with the socket outward. A tee is inserted into the hole at the neck and it is connected to the inserted pipe section;
  • Above the installation site of the tee, you need to cut a hole measuring 50 mm. Here you will need to install a pipe for ventilation and cleaning;
  • A hole is cut in the opposite wall of the eurocube for installing an overflow pipe. It must be placed lower than the inlet pipe is installed. Connecting pipes must be provided with tees and ventilation pipes;

Advice! All pipe installation points must be sealed using silicone sealants.

  • To exclude the possibility of displacement of eurocubes relative to each other, welding is carried out metal frames containers using reinforcement with metal rods. This work can be done using a household welding machine.

Installation of a septic tank

The assembled septic tank must be carefully installed in a pre-prepared pit. The next stage of work is the implementation of the insulation of containers. To do this, you can use any available heat-insulating material, but the best option are foam sheets. The material is light, has good thermal insulation properties and is not destroyed by moisture.

The last stage of construction is backfilling. It is best to fill the pit not with soil, but with a mixture of sand and dry cement. Such a mixture is prepared by mixing five parts of clean, free of large inclusions of sand with one part of dry cement.

Backfilling is carried out in layers with compaction of each layer. It is necessary to pour a layer about 20 cm high and compact it well with a manual tamper. After completing this stage, you can start backfilling the next layer.

It is very important to fill the containers with water at the same time as backfilling, this is necessary to prevent deformation of the plastic cases of the septic tank chambers. When performing work, you must constantly ensure that the liquid level in the containers is always higher than the backfill level. On top of the insulated top cover of the septic tank, the soil formed during the digging of the pit is poured.

So, a homemade septic tank assembled from Eurocubes is a practical and inexpensive way to build a local sewerage system. If the process of building a treatment plant is not entirely clear, you should not only read the description, but also watch a training video that shows in detail the entire process of building a septic tank.

In order for life in a private house or in a country house to be comfortable and cozy, it is necessary to have all communication services that function smoothly. This also applies to the sewer system. It is possible to make a homemade septic tank from European cubes with your own hands.

The Eurocube is a plastic container in the shape of a cube, which is enclosed in a steel frame in the form of a grid. They are usually used to transport various liquids, but eurocubes can also be used to install septic tanks.

You can make a septic tank with your own hands from 2-3 eurocubes connected in turn.

Eurocubes should be located at different levels, i.e. each will be lower than the previous one, then the drains will flow from one eurocube to another.

During the cleaning process, they will be broken down by anaerobic bacteria.

In order for a do-it-yourself septic tank made of eurocubes to exist for a long time without pumping out, it is necessary to fill in biologically active substances during the installation process, after interacting with which, the purified liquid is absorbed into the soil.

Silt can be removed once every few years, leaving an appropriate hole in the eurocube for this.

Advantages of a septic tank from an eurocube

Why can I use a eurocube for a septic tank?

Cons of using Eurocube for septic tanks:

Do-it-yourself Eurocube installation

Self-installation of a septic tank from eurocubes in the country includes several stages:

In order to carry out the installation of a septic tank, it is necessary to have eurocubes, several pipes with a cross section of 150 mm (their number varies and depends on the number of ventilation, transitions between containers), as well as 6 adapters.

For greater savings, purchase used eurocubes, since their washing is unreasonably expensive, and washing is not needed to use them as a septic tank.

At the beginning, it is required to make cuts for tees in the necks of the eurocube. After 20 cm from the top down, make passages for the outlet pipe, which must be connected to the tee inside the chamber.

Next, on the opposite side of the eurocube, you need to cut a pass 40 cm from the top. Don't forget to make a slot for ventilation in the lid, and install each camera exactly 20 cm below.

With self-installation of a septic tank, it is necessary to qualitatively seal the junctions of the pipe with the eurocube.

In order to prevent deformation of the eurocube walls from soil pressure during installation, fill it with water. You will also need penoizol in order to cover the upper surface of the septic tank.

If all the conditions for installing a septic tank are met, then this design will serve you for many years.

How to extend the life of a septic tank from eurocubes

The septic tank does not require special maintenance, but some points should be considered in order to extend its useful life:

  1. Once every couple of years, it is required to remove the sediment from the tank;
  2. Periodically add supplements.

A septic tank made of eurocubes with my own hands, is an economical and excellent option for use in any climate zone.

Every resident of a private house is faced with the issue of sewerage. It is absolutely normal to want to find an inexpensive option that is easy to install. As practice shows, special facilities are quite expensive, cesspools too. In addition, such facilities are quite expensive to maintain.

The best solution to this problem would be to create a septic tank from Eurocubes on your own. What is a eurocube, and how to make a septic tank out of it?

Eurocube is a container made of dense polyethylene with additional support. The support is a steel lattice located on the outside.

Making a septic tank from eurocubes has several advantages:

  • cope well with heavy loads;
  • sufficiently tight;
  • resistant to chemicals;
  • quick and easy installation;
  • relatively low cost;
  • do not require special care.

Along with the advantages, there are some disadvantages:

  • under prolonged heavy loads, the walls may be slightly deformed;
  • if the site is subject to flooding, then the small weight of the container will not be able to keep it in the ground. In other words, it will be pushed to the surface.

The process of building a septic tank is not very complicated and it can be made without outside help.

First you need to calculate the required number of cubes. One septic tank must contain the volume of drains in 72 hours. The calculation can be made according to the following scheme: 1 person uses approximately 180-200 liters. during the day. Accordingly, the stocks are the same amount. The result is multiplied by the number of people. So, the volume is calculated.

The next step is to prepare the installation site. It is necessary to dig a recess that will be slightly larger than the container. It should be placed at such a depth that it does not freeze in the cold season. After that, it is necessary to prepare the soil for the container. Since the weight of the filled container is quite large, it can easily lead to the fact that the pipes will not withstand the load and burst. To avoid this, you need to make a substrate of sand and gravel. It won't be redundant cement strainer above. By the same principle, the next container is installed, but without a substrate.

The scheme of the septic tank from eurocubes

  1. Eurocube which receives water from the house.
  2. Additional eurocube.
  3. The drain valves are closed and a plastic cover is placed on the sealant.
  4. The 1st eurocube should be located 15-20 cm above the 2nd eurocube.
  5. Plastic pipes (usually use 110mm thick)

Further, in the walls, which are located vertically and oppositely, two holes are cut, designed for short pipes, each of them ends with a tee. You can make such holes with a grinder or manually with a hacksaw.

It is necessary to prepare three pieces of pipe, the length of which is about 30 cm. They are needed for the inlet and outlet of wastewater, as well as for fastening between the departments of septic tanks. Usually this simple pipes for sewerage with 11 cm diameter. Sections of pipes give in to processing by scraping disks. Cut and stripped pipes are inserted into the holes made.

Sections of pipes that come out of adjacent walls are interconnected by a small insert.

After that, two tees are placed in each container. This can be done through the neck or using a slot near it.

In the upper part of the eurocubes, holes are made for the outlet of ventilation pipes, which are inserted into the tee inside the container. Ventilation pipes must be made in without fail, because it is through them that fresh air enters the septic tank. In addition, such ventilation contributes to the destruction of the organic film, which will certainly be formed.

For greater stability of individual containers, their frames are welded together. This is done using metal fittings or other strips of metal. All connecting seams are treated with silicone, and the joints are reinforced with linings and rivets.

In order to be able to control the pollution process, a viewing grate or pipe is placed in the neck of the largest cube (which always comes first).

After all the tees and pipes are installed, the frames are connected, and the seams are sealed, the septic tank is immersed in the pit. In order for the ground pressure not to damage the walls of the tank, they are reinforced with sheets of corrugated board or slate. Where the weather conditions are cold, they are additionally insulated with foam. In some cases, it makes sense to fill the space between the walls and the ground with concrete mortar.

After all preparatory work the outlet pipe, located on the second cube, is connected to the filters and the drainage pipe. Then the septic tank is covered with soil and only the pipe remains on the surface. Provided that the required volumes are correctly calculated, high-quality assembly and installation are carried out, such a home-made septic tank will serve you for decades.

There is another little secret. Making a septic tank from European cubes is not very expensive, but you can save even more. To do this, you need to purchase eurocubes that have already been used somewhere. They are sold by affordable price because washing is very expensive. In your case, you do not need to wash them.

A septic tank from eurocubes is the most affordable and suitable option which can be used in any climate.

One of the ways to ensure high-quality wastewater treatment in a private house or in a country house without extra expenses is to make a septic tank from Eurocubes with your own hands.

The design and features of eurocubes

Eurocubes are a convenient container for storing and transporting various liquids, the shape of which is fully determined by the name. The material for the manufacture of eurocubes is durable non-toxic and chemically resistant plastic. The thickness of the walls allows you to withstand fairly large loads - depending on the model, Eurocubes have a capacity of 800 to 1000 liters. An external frame made of thick steel wire gives additional strength to the products. Outwardly, it looks like it is enclosed in a tight cage. To drain the liquid, a hole with a short neck is provided, which is closed with a screw cap.

as material for self-manufacturing treatment facilities eurocube for a septic tank in the country or in a private house It has certain benefits:

  • complete impermeability to water, which avoids the ingress of dirty drains from the septic tank into the ground,
  • light weight, which makes it possible to perform all the work on the installation of a septic tank even for one person without the use of special equipment,
  • ease of making holes and installing pipes (inlet, outlet and connecting),
  • high speed of construction of a treatment plant,
  • ease of maintenance of the septic tank,
  • a sufficiently high efficiency of the septic tank, subject to proper installation.

disadvantages septic tanks from eurocubes according to the owners are:

  • low strength of plastic, which increases the risk of destruction in the cold season,
  • the need to secure containers, which, due to their low weight in an unfilled state, can “float” during a flood.

It should be taken into account that the shortcomings of eurocubes as septic tanks are relative, that is, they can be largely eliminated in the process of preparing for construction and during installation work.

The principle of operation of the treatment plant

If a septic tank is installed from eurocubes, the scheme most often provides for the presence of two tanks connected in series. In order to fully utilize the volume of the second tank, it is usually placed just below the first. Slowly flowing from one eurocube to another, the effluents get rid of large fractions that settle to the bottom.

The photo shows a diagram of how to make a septic tank from eurocubes from two containers

Designing a septic tank from a eurocube implies that this type of treatment plant is non-volatile. They do not require air flow, which means there is no need for. Septic tanks do not require maintenance costs. Settled sludge and hardly decomposable impurities are broken down by anaerobic (not requiring air) microorganisms. It is necessary to add to home-made septic tanks from Eurocubes without pumping out at the initial stage of operation to speed up the cleaning processes.

In this case, pumping out the septic tank wastewater is not required: clarified drains enter the filtration field, where they undergo additional cleaning, and the accumulated sludge can be removed without the use of special equipment, for which it is recommended to provide a special closing hole. The frequency of sludge removal from the septic tank is approximately once every one or two years, in the autumn.

If, having made a septic tank for a summer residence from eurocubes with your own hands, you don’t want to pump out yourself, there is always the opportunity to call specialists with equipment for this.

The required volume of a septic tank is determined as follows: 200 liters of water per person per day are multiplied by the number of family members, and all this is also multiplied by 3. For example, for three people, a septic tank with a volume of 1800 liters, that is, 1.8 cubic meters, will be enough.

Preparing for installation

Having figured out how to make a septic tank from Eurocubes and acquiring the materials necessary for construction, you can proceed with the preparatory work.

When choosing a place where you plan to install a septic tank from eurocubes without pumping out with your own hands, you need to consider that it should be located no closer than 5 m to the house and 30-50 m to the well / well.

The pit for the installation of a septic tank breaks out with a margin. The size of the gap between the walls of the tank and the walls of the pit depends on the features of the chosen design.

  • To protect the septic tank from freezing, foam or other moisture-resistant heat insulator is often installed.
  • To increase strength, they practice filling the gap with concrete or installing a “box” from boards.

In a dug pit, the foundation is poured from concrete with a thickness of about 20 cm. At the stage of hardening, metal hooks or rings are installed in the foundation to “anchor” plastic containers, which will prevent them from floating.

The formwork for the foundation of the septic tank is stepped, taking into account the fact that the second cube must be installed lower in level than the first.

At the same time dig a filtration trench, in which a perforated pipe will then be laid, diverting clarified drains from the septic tank.

Eurocubes also need preparation for installation. The existing drain hole is sealed. It is too small in diameter and too low to be used for connecting pipes.

Other holes are made:

  • In the first cube - for the entrance of the sewer pipe and for the flow of liquid into the second tank.
  • In the second cube - the entrance from the first tank and the exit to the filtration field.
  • On the upper planes of each cube there is a hole for a ventilation pipe.

For the supply of pipelines, all openings are equipped with tees, and the joints are carefully sealed. For this purpose, you can also use plumbing cuffs of the desired diameter.

Installation work

Do-it-yourself septic tank from cubic tanks is installed only after completion of all preparatory work. The concrete of the foundation by this point should gain strength. In some cases, partial filling containers with water so that light tanks do not move with each touch. Also in the article there are rules for its installation.

Operating rules

For maximum durability of a septic tank from eurocubes and ensuring efficiency, it is important to follow the rules for operating this type of treatment plant:

  • periodically introduce special
  • not to allow the maximum filling of tanks in the cold season,
  • provide ventilation ducts with suction valves or use a common ventilation riser in order to sewer pipes rarefied air zones were not formed, which prevent the free flow of liquid.
