Modern manufacturers of machines, appliances and other electrical products are required to adhere to sufficient a large number all kinds of legal documents. Therefore, the offered goods will meet both the requirements of the buyer and the requirements of the quality control authorities. One of these conditions is the climatic performance.

Terminology

Familiarization with each question must begin with a study of the definitions used. Therefore, to begin with, we will try to give the most understandable formulation. So, climatic performance is a system of categories that includes the conditions for normal operation, transportation and storage of technical products relative to the macroclimatic zoning of the surface of the globe. In other words, this term defines under what conditions it is possible to operate one or another electrical installation. In turn, binding to regions allows taking into account various climatic conditions.

Normative documents

Such a system is certified by the current legislation and is included in GOST 15150 "Climatic version". This standard applies to all types and varieties of instruments, machines and other technical products. All requirements of the above document are mandatory. Exceptions are only conditions marked "recommended" or "permissible". Like any other, GOST "Climatic performance" lists the areas of application of the regulatory documentation in question. Let's consider some of them.

1. This standard applies to both the design and manufacture of technical products. In addition, its observance is mandatory when drawing up assignments for the development and subsequent modernization, the creation of standards.

2. The climatic version of each product, as well as other technical parameters, must be kept within the established values.

3. Products manufactured by manufacturers are intended for storage, operation and transportation within the ranges of values of the factors under consideration. In exceptional cases, they may contain a list of permissible deviations during operation.

4. In accordance with the technical and economic feasibility it is recommended to produce technical products suitable for operation in several macro-districts.

Currently, there are several categories that are based on the division of territories with similar environmental conditions. As a rule, the designation of a particular group is carried out using the appropriate letter marking. Let's take a closer look at each category.

U marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "N". A similar climatic design is used for areas characterized by moderate environmental conditions. In addition, it should be remembered that technical products marked in this way may be subject to operation in a warm humid, hot dry, as well as very hot dry macroclimatic region, in which the average value for the annual absolute maximum air temperatures is above 40 degrees Celsius, and the humidity value is 80 percent or more. In this case, such characteristics should be observed for more than 12 hours every day for a two-month continuous period. In turn, a temperate climate has the following characteristics atmospheric air: the annual absolute maximum temperature does not exceed forty degrees Celsius. From the foregoing, we can conclude that the climatic version U has the following temperature range: from -45 0 С to +40 0 С.

HL marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "F". This group is characterized by cold climates. The annual absolute temperature minimum is -45 degrees Celsius. Electrical equipment with this type of marking is designed for operation within the following limits: -60 0 С - +40 0 С.

UHL marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letters "NF". GOST "Climatic performance" refers to this category areas with moderate and cold conditions environment. The temperature range of normal operation of products with such markings has the same limits as those of the previous group. In addition, products released with this category can be used in the same cases as products of group Y. For example, in hot and very hot dry climates, subject to the above conditions.

TV marking

In the Latin version, the letter designation is "TN". Such a climatic design is characterized by the operation of technical products in wet tropical environment environment. Atmospheric air has the following parameters: temperature over 20 degrees Celsius, humidity over 80 percent. A special condition is the preservation of the above requirements for more than 12 hours every day for two months continuously. The operating temperature limits for normal operation are +1 - +40 0 С.

Vehicle marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letters "TA". Despite the similarity in name with the previous category, this group has many differences. The average value of the annual absolute maximum temperatures is +40 degrees Celsius. The range of such values when used ranges from -10 to +50 0 С.

T marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "T". Technical products marked with this marking are capable of normal operation in tropical climates.

Marking O

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "U" and is a general climatic version. Products characterized in this way can be used in all macro-climatic regions of the earth, except for very cold environmental conditions. Temperature limits range from -60 0 С to +50 0 С.

Marking M

In the Latin version, it is also denoted by the letter "M". This category includes electrical products that are intended for normal operation in macroclimatic regions in a moderately cold marine-type environment.

TM marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letters "MT" and includes territories characterized by tropical marine atmospheric air conditions. This category includes technical products intended for operation on coastal navigation vessels or any other vessels used only in the redistribution of these areas.

OM marking

In the Latin version, the letter designation is "MU". The presented group includes machines, devices and other products, the normal operation of which will be carried out in areas with both tropical and temperate cold climates. Thus, various vessels with unlimited navigation areas can be attributed to the category under consideration.

Marking B

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "W". This group is quite specific, since it includes electrical products intended for widespread use, both on land and on water. Such a performance is called all-climatic. A feature is the impossibility of application only in areas characterized by very cold environmental conditions. Temperature limits for normal operation range from -60 to +50 degrees Celsius.

Locations

At present, electrical products are marked in a special way (climatic version and placement category are indicated). In this regard, the marking is a combination of an alphabetic and numerical designation. This allows buyers to see at a glance what suits them. this device or not.

Category 1

Technical products marked in this way are intended for outdoor use. Therefore, they are exposed to the totality of atmospheric factors. For example, climatic version U1.

Category 2

It assumes normal operation of the equipment under a canopy or in rooms subject to fluctuations in the values of atmospheric air parameters almost to the same extent as open space. For example, it can be a body.

Category 3

This group includes technical products that must be used only in enclosed spaces. At the same time, the latter should have the following features: the absence of artificial regulators of environmental conditions; exposure to dust and sand is significantly less than outdoors. Climatic version U3 can be used in rooms with thermal insulation made of metal, wood, concrete and other materials. Such objects can be classified as irregularly heated. Thus, the climatic version of U3 implies the absence of precipitation, direct sunlight, a significant reduction in the impact of wind and moisture.

Category 4

Equipment belonging to this group can be used in rooms characterized by artificial regulation of environmental parameters, well-ventilated underground buildings. It implies the absence of direct solar radiation, wind, moisture, sand.

Category 5

Such technical products can be used in rooms with high humidity values. For example, in underground rooms, in the soil, as well as on ships.

Marking (brief description protective coatings, types of climatic modification and categories of product placement, degrees of protection). Products designed for various climatic regions, categories, operating and storage conditions in terms of the impact of climatic environmental factors are marked in accordance with GOST 1515069. According to the degree of protection, the products provided by the shells are marked in accordance with GOST 1425496. Climatic modifications are marked: U1, U2, U3, T1, T2, T3, UHL1, UHL4, UT1.5.

U1- products for use in areas with a temperate climate with placement category 1 (outdoors).

U2- products for operation in areas with a temperate climate with placement category 2 (under a canopy or in rooms with free air access).

Examples of decoding climatic version

When you need to understand what climate the equipment is intended for:

UHL4- For temperate and cold climates, installation category 4;
TV1- For humid tropical climates, installation category 1.

When it is necessary to clarify the required climatic version of the equipment according to the operating conditions:

It is supposed to operate the equipment at an altitude of up to 1000 m, in a closed room with artificial ventilation. The room temperature is maintained around the clock +18 o C ÷ +23 o C and humidity 55% ÷ 65% at 20 o C - equipment of all climatic modifications is suitable for these criteria, but UHL4.1 and TV4.1 are most optimal;
It is supposed to operate the equipment at a height of up to 1000 m under a canopy. The annual temperature difference is -32 o C ÷ +44 o C with the lowest temperature -46 o C and the highest temperature +45 o C (recurrence about 1 time in 50 years). The highest humidity value is 90% at 25 o C. - U1, HL1, UHL1 versions are suitable for climatic conditions.

Normal values of climatic factors during operation and requirements for products

The normal values of climatic factors indicated below refer to the operation of products at altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level. For products operated at altitudes above 1000 m (including both above 1000 m and up to 1000 m), other values of climatic factors (except for pressure and lower temperature values) can be set. In this case, the upper and average temperatures for the operation of products at altitudes from 1000 m to 4300 m can be calculated by decreasing those indicated in Table 4 by 0.6 o C every 100 m.

If there is a special technical justification, confirmed by measurements of the values of climatic factors, their nominal values can be set different from those indicated below.

Ambient temperature

Ambient temperature values are shown below in table 4. For products of category 1, if their surface is exposed to solar heating, the upper, middle and limit operating temperatures should be taken higher than those indicated in table 4:

  • For surfaces that have a white or silver-white color - at 15 o C;
  • For surfaces that have a different color - at 30 o C.

Requirements for ambient temperature apply to products of all designs and categories. Air temperature limit requirements are set only for products with a high probability of failure-free operation, if specified in the technical specifications for the products (the probability of occurrence of temperature limits is 0.00001) .

The operating values of the parameters characterizing the action of dust are given in table 12:

solar radiation

GOST 15150 establishes the upper working value of the integral surface energy flux density of solar radiation for altitudes up to and above 15 km. Actually, for altitudes up to 15 km inclusive, its value is 1125 W / m 2, including the flux density of the ultraviolet part of the spectrum (280 ÷ 400 nm) - 68 W / m 2. At heights above 15 km, the upper working value of the integral surface energy flux density of solar radiation is 1380 W/m 2 , including the flux density of the ultraviolet part of the spectrum (200 ÷ 400 nm) - 140 W/m 2 .

Requirements for exposure to solar radiation are imposed only on products of category 1. At the same time, products of category 1.1 are required if this is indicated in the terms of reference. Requirements may not be imposed on the product as a whole, but only on those of its components and parts that, under operating conditions, are directly exposed to the sun.
