Bagua mesh - what is it?

Although this unfamiliar phrase sounds intimidating, but, in fact, there is nothing to be afraid of. The Bagua grid is a zoned octagon. The name itself comes from two Chinese words: "ba" - eight, "gua" - trigram. In each corner of the grid (and, as we have just learned, there are eight of them), there is a zone according to the division into parts of the world: north, south, west, east and, accordingly, their derivatives, that is, adjacent sides.

How to find zones in an apartment using the Bagua grid

Suddenly you are renting an apartment from an elderly woman with an unshakable Orthodox-Christian point of view on all events in life? Then what kind of feng shui is there: make the brownie angry, and also rake with a broom from the hostess ... Therefore, this method is suitable for those who would not like to waste precious minutes looking for a compass in stores.

So, if the apartment has two windows facing opposite sides, then you are incredibly lucky. You will need to pay attention to where the sun rises or sets. If you were lucky enough to meet the dawn from the window, then you have the east side in front of you.

If the sunset - respectively, western. In the event that you do not see either dawn or sunset, then watch the windows during the day, from about 13 to 15 hours. The side that will be most illuminated or even flooded with sun is the south side. And the one that remained in the shade and less bright compared to the other is the northern one.

If there is no such possibility, then take a walk early in the morning / in the evening around the neighborhood. And watch where the sun rises and where it sets. Then there will be no problems with the definition of north-south. Well, if you nevertheless notice the “topographic ignoramus” syndrome behind you, and after determining the east-west, it is difficult for you to immediately mentally recall the location of the north-south, then remember the map of the countries of the world that you once diligently studied at school (in any case case, you see, this is better than running and looking for moss on the trees on the north side).

The West is the USA, the East is China, the North is, roughly, Canada, and the South is – also roughly, African countries. Represented? Now you understand that if you are facing west (USA), then east (China) is behind you. Then north (Canada) will be on your right, and south (African continent) on your left. If it happens that you are looking to the east, then the map plan works in a mirror image.

Mentally unfold this card in front of your eyes, and voila! - you finally decided on the cardinal points. It remains only to transfer them to the dwelling plan.

How to identify feng shui zones

Now we sit down comfortably at the table, pick up our plan of the apartment / house with marked sides, a ruler and a pencil. We lay thin diagonal lines from the outer corners of the apartment so that a common point of contact appears in the middle of the house plan. This is our middle ground. The epicenter of all events, we would even say.

Now it's time for the printed Bagua grid to better represent the Feng Shui zone diagrams. We impose it in such a way that the center of the dwelling coincides with the center on the grid, and the cardinal points along Bagua (or, in other words, sectors) coincide with those already marked by you on the plan.

Now you can accurately mark not only the main sides, but also derivatives: northeast, northwest, southwest, southeast. These cardinal points are the same Feng Shui Bagua zones. Mark them with lines on the plan for clarity. That, in fact, is the whole arrangement of zones according to Feng Shui.

Now is the time to start landscaping the area that you need most in this moment. Why do we suggest activating only one zone to start with? Because the great masters of science advise so. If you are engaged in the simultaneous improvement of all (yes, at least two) zones at once, then you will disrupt the order of the flow of beneficial qi energy.
