How to make a do-it-yourself car trailer drawings. Homemade trailer for a car: manufacturing, registration

For the transportation of large and bulky goods over long distances, we are accustomed to using freight transport of various tonnage, and a wheelbarrow is also excellent for moving heavy loads inside the subsidiary farm. But what if you need to transport a not very dimensional cargo over an average distance. In this case, using a wheelbarrow is inconvenient and requires significant energy costs, and hiring a specially freight car and not at all cost effective. For such purposes, a trailer is perfect, the tractor for which can be a car, a mini-tractor, and even a walk-behind tractor.

All this is also presented in the household farm, but, so to speak, in miniature. For example, even a wheelbarrow will fit for intra-farm transportation.

You can also hire a truck to deliver goods from afar. But when transporting heavy loads over medium distances, a wheelbarrow turns out to be unproductive, and a truck turns out to be unprofitable. And therefore, for my farmstead, I decided to make a trailer with my own hands, and such that as a tractor it could be used as a trailer for a walk-behind tractor, and, if necessary, a car.

How to make a reinforced trailer for a passenger car with your own hands

Such light trailer you can do it yourself. For its manufacture, you can use spare parts and parts that can be found in the garage or dismantling.

A frame will be made of two spars and two traverses (front and rear crossbars). And the lattice of the platform is made up of five crossbeams, which are placed between the traverses. Crossbars and traverses relative to spars must have console outlets small size. Longitudinal parts must be welded to the ends of the outlets. They will play the role of strapping the frames of the sides of the trailer. On these parts you can weld the racks, and already to the racks - the upper trims.

Trailer for a car drawings, dimensions

The spars are made of pipes of rectangular section 60x30 mm. All the other parts of the frame and body frame listed above (traverses, cross members, racks, strapping) are made of a steel square pipe with a section of 25x25 mm.

The front and rear sides of the body are the same. They are made folding (this allows you to transport long loads on a trailer), and therefore their frames, although they are all made of the same square pipe 25x25 mm, are made separately from the general body frame. The platform grille is covered from above with a 2-mm duralumin sheet, which forms the floor of the body, and the sides are sheathed on the outside with thick tin - a 0.8-mm steel sheet. The floor is attached to the grating with M5 countersunk bolts, and the side sheathing is neatly (dotted) welded to the rails and posts.

The beam of the bridge also has a tubular rectangular section: it is welded from two identical sections of channels No. 5, inserted one into the other. Two wheel axles are preliminarily welded at the ends of one of them. The gaps between them and the beam channels at the ends were covered with steel sheet overlays.

The beam is connected to the frame spars by means of two springs used from the old Moskvich-412 car; 13-inch wheels are taken from the same car. The middle of the springs are drawn to the beam by ladders, and their ends are attached to the spars: one is put on the axis of the bracket, and the other is on the axis of the earring. Shock absorbers in the design of a simplified cargo trailer for passenger car considered redundant.

With such a suspension, the distance from the ground to the platform was about 600 mm, which, as the operation showed, is quite acceptable.

The drawbar of a homemade trailer is double-beam. It is made of the same rectangular pipe with a section of 60x30 mm as the spars. The rear ends of the beams of the drawbar are docked and welded to the front ends of the spars with a 200 mm overlap. The front ends of the beams converge on the body of the towing device and are also welded to it. I have it homemade, but with my trailer I never go on the road common use(yes, this is not necessary). Technical requirements simply prohibit the use of homemade towing devices.

The do-it-yourself trailer does not have brakes - I use the brakes of the tractor to stop or slow down the speed. And here are the signaling devices - taillights with turn signals and brake lights - so that my actions are always clear to the accomplices of traffic on the road.

There are times when you need to move something. If the dimensions of the goods do not fit into the trunk or passenger compartment, then you need to call a special service or get your own car trailer. The second option is, of course, better, but where can I get it?

What is a trailer, what are they

A trailer is an additional rack that clings to the rear of the car. They are for cars, ATVs, motorcycles, walk-behind tractors and even bicycles. If you have the ability and at least some experience, then you can make a light trailer with your own hands, because buying it is a waste of money. Such a useful addition to the household is expensive. Let the home-made look and not be too aesthetically pleasing, but it will be made to last, exactly as it should be - It's decided, we will make a trailer with our own hands.

What you need to know

To start making a trailer with your own hands, drawings are needed. You need to know exactly and imagine how the future design will look like. It is important to strictly adhere to all the rules by which it is required to create homemade trailers. There is even a special single GOST 37.001.220-80 for this. If the product is not made according to GOST, then the traffic police will not register it. Nobody wants to waste money on the wind, so you should find out all the nuances that a trailer should be created with with your own hands.

What you need to make

Before you start making a light trailer with your own hands, you need to buy everything expendable materials and prepare all working tools. It all starts with the frame. It requires square-shaped metal rolling. It makes a stable and solid foundation for future construction. For the sides and bottom, ordinary sheet metal will go.

An important element of each homemade trailer is its chassis. Here everyone is dodging as best he can. There are many options on how to get a chassis in order to make a trailer with your own hands. As an option - the old axle from the stroller, which used to be attached to old motorcycles. If there is one, then this will be a real find, because you can take an axle from it, and in addition, suitable wheels. An axle from some old Moskvich or Zhiguli is also suitable. There it is already necessary to proceed from what is available or cheaper. The pendant can also be found somewhere. For example, from an old heavy motorcycle - these are sold cheaply in online stores.

You will also need a TSU device, a tow bar - a towing device. Mandatory in the presence of turn signals, brake lights and all that, as well as wiring, which will then be connected to the car.

Of the special tools, only a welding machine is needed. The rest, probably, is in every house.

DIY trailer: frame drawings

The simplest frame is usually made of square rolled metal (steel pipe with an optimal cross section of forty by forty millimeters). It will not be difficult to weld it for anyone who knows how to use it. welding machine. It must be remembered that safety precautions must be observed when working with equipment that can cause any damage.

The future frame will be of a standard shape, namely, rectangular. First you need to cut the rolled metal to the desired length. The frame itself must be reinforced, otherwise it will not be possible to carry any heavy loads on it. In addition to the frame, longitudinal beams are also required, which make it stronger.

The length of the trailer, made by hand, will be two hundred centimeters. This is enough to carry any Construction Materials or not very bulky goods. The width of the frame will be about one hundred centimeters. Height - forty centimeters. This is an average trailer for a car, which you can do with your own hands. The bottom will be supported by two longitudinal and five transverse beams. This design is very strong, light, and most importantly, reliable. In order for the straight lines to turn out the same, it is necessary to measure everything with a ruler, otherwise everything will come out crooked.

For the frame, you will need four beams of two hundred centimeters, six of one hundred centimeters and seven of forty centimeters. Having carefully measured everything, you can start cutting a metal bar.

The size of the structure can vary at the request of the owner. After the beams are cut, you can proceed to the most interesting part of the work - welding!

Welding: frame

Having cut all the parts of the future frame, which is needed to make a trailer for a car with your own hands, you can start welding. Everything starts from the foundation. First, a rectangle is welded from two long and two meter beams. Then, additional transverse bars and beams for height are already welded onto this structure. The upper plane will look like the letter "P", because at one end there will be a tailgate, through which the load is brought.

Hull skin

The frame is the "skeleton" of the trailer. He still needs meat. To do this, you need sheet steel at least half a centimeter thick. By calculating the area of the future trailer, you can calculate how much sheet steel will be needed for it. It is fastened very easily: holes are drilled in the frame, and then, with the help of bolts, the material is pressed against the body.

Do-it-yourself trailer for a car: making a tailgate

For the tailgate, you will need a separate frame. Having cut the beams forty by one hundred centimeters, you can cook the base from them. A steel sheet is sewn onto it in the same way. Two loops are welded to the main frame, where there is no upper horizontal bar, which should already be welded to the tailgate.

It will be fixed with the help of two metal plates. Transverse metal plates are welded on both sides of the body. A hole is made in them equal to the width of the bolt. Two holes are also made in the tailgate. A bolt will be threaded through them, which passes through metal plates and is fixed at the end with nuts. Such a simple and cheap method solves the problem of fixing the lid.

Chassis and suspension

In order for a trailer, assembled with its own hands, to be able to drive, it needs a chassis. An old spring suspension and an axle from a Moskvich would do just fine. It will also have wheels. The entire structure is attached to the bottom of the trailer.

Car mount

The trailer is attached to the car using special beams and a device called a tow bar. From the edge of the bottom, two metal beams are drawn and welded at an angle so that a triangle is obtained. At the end of this triangle, a metal plate is welded, onto which the towbar is then welded. You can find it at any auto parts store. Then you need to connect the brake lights and turn signals. They are connected as a backup circuit to the machine illumination.

How to make a trailer for a car with your own hands and what tools are needed to create this type of “accessory” for a car?

On this page you will learn how to make a trailer for your iron horse on your own and with your own hands. What is required for this, we will definitely tell you, looking ahead, I will tell you that nothing supernatural is required, an ordinary build tool like a grinder, a screwdriver, an electric jigsaw, etc. Also pipes for the frame and much more that can be easily found on any system base.

And upon completion of the manufacture of the trailer, you will learn how and where to register the trailer with the traffic police.

Sometimes, in order to solve the problem of lack of space in the trunk, the best option would be to do. Even if the load that you need to transport is not heavy, its fuller dimensions may become an obstacle to normal placement in the trunk of your car. It is clear that the car is different for the car, and there are enough models with large and capacious luggage compartments, but now we are taking into account middle-class cars, the percentage of which is the highest on our roads. For a one-time transportation of such bulky luggage around the city, and beyond its borders, you can use the services of a cargo taxi. If we are talking about multiple transportations, the use of a taxi may not be effective way solution to the capacity problem. One possible way out of this situation would be to use a trailer. There are two ways: buy a ready-made trailer or make do-it-yourself homemade car trailer. The first option saves you time, both in the preparation and subsequent execution of documents. And the second is the money and time to find a trailer suitable for your car model. We will consider the second option.

To make your own car trailer, we will need certain tools and materials, the availability of which is desirable to take care of in advance.

Necessary materials and accessories for a homemade trailer

The frame is the basis of the trailer, it is its strength and rigidity that determines the durability of the trailer as a whole. For greater reliability, it is recommended to use welded joint elements. You should start by determining the dimensions of the frame - length and width. The size is determined by the outer edges of the frame elements. To determine the full width of the future frame, it is necessary to add 2 wall thicknesses to the distance between the inner edges of the side walls. If the frame is located directly between the wheels, and not above them, then you also need to take into account the gaps between the tire and the bead.

After determining the dimensions, the fitting of the frame is performed. Metallic profile decomposes into flat surface maintaining perpendicularity between the elements. Frame elements are connected by clips. At this stage, the shape of the frame is controlled; for this, you need to measure two diagonals of the resulting rectangle with a tape measure. The values obtained must match, in extreme cases, a deviation of 2-5% is allowed. It is desirable to provide a stiffener in the design, the rectangle or square itself is a rather unstable structure under load.

If other trailers are also used, it is better to choose a hitch ball of the same size as theirs.

When performing this element of the trailer, it must be remembered that the shorter the length of the connecting part, the faster the trailer will respond to the movement of the car. This means that even with a slight lateral movement of the drive wheels, the trailer will immediately move sharply behind them. This can cause damage to the load in the trailer, causing it to fall. The optimal length is 1.5-2.5 m, depending on the purpose of the trailer. As a material, it is better to choose, as for the frame, square steel pipes cross section in the amount of three pieces.

The connection of pipes with the frame is welded, for greater strength it is recommended to reinforce it with corners. Before welding, fitting is performed so that the hitch is carried out exactly along the axis of the trailer.

A safety cable or chain is also mounted here. When moving, it should not drag along the ground. If desired, it is possible to install a small folding wheel at the coupling point for the convenience of transporting the trailer without a car.

Installation of the coupling is possible on bolts or by welding. Before finally attaching it to the trailer frame, you need to check once again that the dimensions of the frame pipes and the groove of the gutter itself match. The groove width must not exceed the pipe width by more than 5 mm.

In the case of a welded fastening of the coupling, a high connection strength is ensured, but if it is damaged, it will be necessary to dismantle it. gas-burner. Strength bolted connection somewhat less. It is recommended to use bolts of the eighth strength class, less durable ones may not withstand shear forces. Two bolts are enough for connection, more of them will weaken the frame and coupling element due to the bolt holes.

There is a rule according to which the axle must be placed at a distance of 35-40% of the entire length of the trailer from the rear. Having measured the distance, you need to designate the location of the future axis. You can install the axle by placing the frame on the table upside down (assembly from top to bottom). The axis in this case is installed on the table, on a pair of 4x4 blocks, and the spindles hang freely. In the intended location of the axle, the paint is peeled off the frame. The distance between the bushings is divided by two and this point on the axle is marked with a marker.

For control, the width of the frame is measured again, divided by two and the resulting distance is plotted from the middle of the axis, its position is adjusted. After that, you can proceed to the final installation. The unification of elements is carried out by spot welding along the entire length of the contact. It is better to use a spring-shock absorber suspension, as it provides more softness, although it has low strength.

Stabilizing jacks

Necessary to ensure the horizontal position of the trailer. The best option for placement - the corners of the frame. It is possible to install only on one side of the trailer. From the point of view of lifting force, it is better to use a screw mechanism. It can even be used to change a wheel on a trailer.

The trailer is made according to the design drawing, which must comply with technical requirements, provided for by GOST 37.001.220-80, valid on the territory of the Russian Federation and Ukraine. It describes the standards, in case of non-compliance with which it will be impossible to register a home-made trailer for a car with the state traffic inspectorate, and all the work will be wasted over time and money.

board device

In the manufacture of side walls, you can use wood boards, metal fragments, plywood panels or polycarbonate, the choice of material type depends on the purpose of the device. Due to the low weight and convenient form of processing, wood or plywood is most often used, initially the flooring from the boards is attached to the base, it must be bolted, and the main box is also bolted to this base. But to give reliability, it is recommended to attach steel corners to the corners of the box.

Equipment and accessories

For the manufacture of a trailer weighing up to 750 kg, which does not require a driver's license with cat. BE will need the following equipment and components:

  1. Square pipe or steel channel for the manufacture of the frame and the coupling unit with the vehicle. Its optimal section is 25x50 mm., And pipes 40x40 mm. The length is selected depending on the dimensions specified in the drawing.
  2. Sheet steel with a thickness of 0.6 mm. and above, from which the sides of the body will be cut and assembled. The number of sheets is calculated based on the height and length of the sides.
  3. thick plywood sheet, OSB boards, plastic, polycarbonate or tin for the manufacture of the bottom. It is selected according to the size corresponding to its area.
  4. Chassis. As an optimal use front axle, extracted from an old motorized carriage FDD (disabled). Also often installed spring eight-leaf suspension, which is mounted on rubber bushings. In appearance, it is similar to the Volga car, but more lightweight. The springs are attached to the beam of the bridge with stepladders, and fillies are placed under them.

  1. The bridge is made of a pipe ∅25 mm., To the ends of which the axle shafts are welded. Hubs rotate on them. The bridge tube, axle shaft, filly and springs are assembled into a single unit, connected by M8 bolts.
  2. Pair of wheels. They are borrowed from a motorized stroller, in which case they will minimally weight the structure, or a VAZ car. For their installation, the hubs of the rear beam VAZ 2108 are suitable.
  3. Suspension. The best option would be the spring-hydraulic units of the Ural motorcycle because of the low cost and reliability.
  4. Traction hitch (hitch) for coupling with the machine.
  5. Brakes.
  6. Electrical equipment (turning and marker lights, brake lights and a drive with which they will be connected to the vehicle).
  7. Awning or material for it (banner fabric, tarpaulin, etc.).
  8. Fixing devices (corners, brackets, etc.).
  9. Tool for working with metal (grinder, screwdriver, electric jigsaw, drill, hammer, tape measure).
  10. Welding machine.
  11. Making and assembling a homemade trailer for a car

The assembly of a light trailer takes place in accordance with the drawing and consists of several stages:

  1. Frame assembly. This part of the product belongs to the carrier, and the durability of the trailer will depend on its strength. To do this, the pipe or profile is cut in accordance with the dimensions and welded together. In the resulting rectangle, the accuracy and evenness of the assembly is checked. Additionally, a stiffening rib is provided, since the rectangular frame is unstable under load.
  2. Vehicle connection point. When making it, you need to keep in mind that the shorter it is, the faster the trailer will respond to vehicle maneuvers. The optimal length of the connecting part will be 1.5-2 m. For its manufacture, the same material is used as for the frame. Before starting welding, the correct placement of the parts to be joined is checked so that the hitch is in the middle. In order to prevent the connecting part from breaking under load, safety cables are mounted and welded at the bottom of the structure.
  1. Coupling. Serves for attaching the connecting part of the trailer to the machine. Can be bolted or welded. The first method is less reliable, but can be easily dismantled. The weld assembly is strong, but may require a gas torch to remove. For bolted connections, samples of the eighth strength class are selected.
  2. Axis assembly. According to the general rules, the axle is mounted at a distance of 40% from the tailgate of the trailer, that is, it is slightly offset from the center to the rear. Fastening occurs by means of a bolted connection, a frame is installed on it, and is also connected with bolts.
  3. Stabilizing jacks are a desirable but not required part of the design. They keep the trailer level while driving. The best option for their placement is at the corners of the frame.
  1. Flooring on the side walls. It is made of metal, plastic, wood or other material, depending on the cargo that is planned to be transported. It is bolted, after which the sides are mounted on the frame. The corners are reinforced with metal corners.

  1. Finishing. They did and the nodes are painted, after which a power connection route for electrical appliances is drawn. Be sure to install headlights, lights and reflectors. Connection to a single network is made using a towbar socket. If necessary, a homemade trailer is equipped with a brake system.

Purpose and features of a car trailer

A light trailer for cars is intended for the transport of goods. different kind, tourist equipment and small tourist boats, the length of which does not exceed 3.5 m. It consists of a frame, suspension, body, bridge, and is connected to the car with a coupling device. Factory-made trailers for passenger cars do not need additional permits for registration, but are not always suitable for motorists in terms of characteristics or cost.

A home-made trailer for a car is made according to the drawing and adhering to GOST in the manufacture and assembly by one's own hands. Registration of such a product is much more expensive, as it requires additional permits for operation. At the same time, all the costs of manufacturing, taking into account the costs of registration, will be lower than the purchase of a new one. It should be noted that a home-made trailer is not inferior in quality to a factory trailer, since the manufacturing process is controlled by its owner.

Register a trailer with the traffic police

To register a trailer with the traffic police, it is necessary to conduct an examination of the trailer. This is done by the All-Russian Society of Motorists (VOA). Each region has its own. Here are the addresses of the VOA departments known to me: 1. St. Petersburg. st. Zhukovsky d.55 tel. 273-47-30 VOA Alexey Pavlovich,

2.Perm All-Russian Society of Motorists, tel. 12-83-14 and 12-69-65,

3. Moscow SSC RF FSUE NAMI tel. 456-32-31 Fedorov Artyom.

To pass the examination, the trailer must comply with the following GOST.

Large or oversized loads require a large amount of space to transport. The luggage compartment of a passenger car is not suitable for this task - there is too little space. The only option is to use . At the same time, it is not necessary to select it for a car, search in the markets and spend money and time on it. Can be self-assembled this device using only the most necessary parts and components.

First of all, you need to find and prepare all the components and tools that will be useful for self-assembly.

After everything is purchased, an initial drawing is developed, which is subsequently guided during assembly. There are a lot of various drawings and sketches on the Internet - you can choose anything based on the available materials, details, capabilities and needs.

Let's consider the most versatile option - a cargo trailer for a car of the Zhiguli type.

DIY assembly

We build a home-made trailer according to the drawing, using prepared tools and components, in several stages.

  1. Frame assembly. The frame is the supporting part of the trailer, so the durability of the product depends on its strength and reliability. For its manufacture, you can use a steel channel (25x50) or a pipe (40x40). We cut the profile according to the size, after which the parts are welded together. The resulting rectangle is measured for evenness and accuracy of welding. It is necessary to provide a stiffener, since the rectangular or square shape of the frame is rather unstable under heavy loads.

  2. Vehicle connection point. It must be remembered that the shorter the connecting part, the faster and sharper the trailer will react to the movements of the tractor. Depending on the dimensions, it is recommended to make the connecting part 1.5 - 2 meters long. Since this node has a considerable load, for welding we use the same profiles that were used when creating the frame. Before welding, we carry out measurements so that the coupling of the connecting part with the trailer takes place exactly in the middle of the axle. To prevent breaks in the connecting part, we mount safety cables. We weld them at the bottom of the entire structure.
  3. Coupling. The coupling allows you to attach the connecting part of the trailer to the car. It can be mounted both on bolts and by welding. In the first case, the design will turn out to be less reliable, but if it is necessary to dismantle the coupling, it will be easier to remove it. In the second, the assembly will become very strong, but a gas burner is needed for dismantling. If the choice fell on the connection with bolts, we recommend choosing samples with the eighth strength class. Otherwise, the bolts may not withstand the force.
  4. Axis assembly. By general rule, the axle is mounted at a distance of 40% of the length from the rear wall of the trailer. In other words, it should be off-center a little closer to the back. We install the axle using bolts. Next, we install the frame on the axis and fasten it again with the help of bolts.

  5. It is not an urgent need, but it is desirable to install stabilizing jacks that will ensure the horizontal position of the trailer while driving. The best option is to place jacks at the corners of the frame.
  6. Flooring and side walls. Wood, tin, metal, polycarbonate, plastic or other materials can be used as the starting material - everything directly depends on what exactly will be transported on the trailer and how often transport will be carried out. We install a flooring on the frame (you can use the simplest, from ordinary plywood) and fix it with bolts. After that, we mount the boards on the frame. We strengthen the corners of the trailer with metal corners.
  7. The final stage is finishing. If necessary, we paint parts and assemblies that require such processing. We carry out routes for connecting power from the car. Since all trailers must be equipped with mandatory light signaling devices, we install the necessary lights, headlights and reflectors. All this is installed in single network and connects through the towbar socket.

The following video shows the process of assembling and finishing a homemade trailer of the original design.

A homemade trailer, especially if it is well-assembled, will significantly increase the capabilities of an ordinary car. Despite the fact that there are many varieties, the universal version will be suitable for any vehicle and type of transportation. In addition to all the above actions, the trailer can be equipped with a separate brake system, lighting fixtures etc., but still these questions are best left to professionals. Before using the trailer, you must.

If a person’s car does not accommodate a bulky load inside the cabin, or you don’t want to get it dirty with dirty things, then you should think about using a trailer that will easily unload your task.

The cost of such a unit is at least half a thousand dollars. Not everyone will want to buy an addition to their car, even if it will be used constantly, so you can think about the idea of \u200b\u200bhow you can make a trailer yourself.

Trailers are divided into two types - conventional and specialized, in which you can transfer cargo of certain volumes and sizes.

In the first case, everything is clear - everyone without exception uses it, while the second is usually used in industry or business.

In this article, only a conventional universal trailer will be considered.

Conventional trailers are either on one axle or on two. Accordingly, they have two or more than two wheels. It is important to know that a two-axle trailer allows you to carry larger loads, and also removes a significant part of the load from the rear of the car. In addition, the power of the car is not lost, as if a weak trailer was used.

Instructions on how to make a trailer

The first thing, as always, is to think about the design of the trailer. For this, it is important to make detailed drawing, as well as a plan for assembling parts.

You should not think that you can cope by eye, as the slightest miscalculation will lead to the fact that the trailer will be impossible to use.

Required minimum materials

  • Square tube and channel
  • Sheets of steel for sheathing
  • Metal sheet for the bottom
  • Chassis
  • Multiple wheels
  • Suspension and braking system
  • Waterproof fabric
  • Tow bar
  • electrical equipment
  • Corner mounts and brackets
  • Bulgarian, screwdriver and other tools
  • Welding

trailer construction

When all the components are at your fingertips, you can start building your first trailer. First of all, a frame is made - the base of the trailer, which should be the most durable product of the entire structure.

You can ask a familiar welder or specialists to weld this design for you if you do not know how to do it yourself. Carefully check the welding seams, as they must be strong and not break.

The next step is to weld the ribs to the frame, which should be across the trailer. Brackets are installed along the edges that will hold the shock absorbers.

You can look at the types and sizes of DIY trailers to have a better idea of what is written here.

Prepare two channels, which will be the connecting part, so that it does not turn out to be too long, otherwise you may lose the maneuverability of the trailer when driving.

The channel is welded along the bottom of the frame along its entire length. To increase reliability, it is recommended to weld it together with other parts of the frame with metal triangles.

It is better to purchase the clutch mechanism ready-made in the store - this will simplify not only your work, but also the process of registering the trailer. The axial part of the "walker" should not be exactly in the middle of the frame, but slightly offset towards the end of the trailer.

When step by step manufacturing parts of the trailer will be ready, you can go to the chassis. Now a passive braking system is installed, which is very useful on the descent.

The next step is to equip the sides of the trailer and its bottom. Use reliable mounting bolts metal sheets. Complete the mount with corners.

The tailgate must be equipped with reflectors, a frame for the number plate and all the necessary lights. Orange reflectors are installed on the side boards, and orange and white ones in front.

The trailer is now complete. If you allocate moderate time for manufacturing, then it will take about three to four days. Don't forget to complete the mandatory registration process for your brand new trailer.

Using this instruction and tips, you can do without drawings with diagrams of how to make a trailer. Also, for this it is not necessary to have any special skills. All that is required for this is a head and hands, as well as materials with tools. Do not rush, but it is important to do everything carefully and calculating every detail.

A small trailer can be used if your license is Category B, however, if you do not have Category E, your trailer must weigh less than 750kg. You should not load the trailer to the blade, even to its maximum carrying capacity, as the structure may not withstand the movement, and it will simply break.

If you are still thinking about the design of the trailer, you can look at photos of trailers made by yourself and choose something for yourself.
