Rounded log according to your project. Houses made of logs

In the production of log houses, it is important to correctly make a longitudinal groove on a log. Its diameter should be less than the diameter of the log so that there is a gap between the logs for insulation. If the diameter of the groove and the log coincide or the dimensions of the log are larger, then after shrinkage of the log house, such a place may “open up”. In other words, the top log will touch the bottom log not with the entire surface of the groove (as it should be), but with one central point. This means that in this place the thickness of the wall will be only 1-2 cm, which will greatly reduce the thermal resistance of the walls of the wooden house compared to when the longitudinal groove was made correctly. And this means that the opinion that the larger the diameter of the longitudinal groove and, as a result, the thinnest place of the wall, the much warmer the wooden house will be, is wrong. More precisely, it applies exclusively to the stages of manufacture and assembly. After shrinkage and shrinkage of the tree, the longitudinal groove will open, which in the future will lead to the appearance of cracks. To avoid this, the longitudinal groove must be done correctly and in proportion to the diameter of the log.

In the production of rounded logs, it is necessary to leave technological gaps in the bowls, the width of which should be approximately 1 cm. If this is not done, then during the shrinkage of the house, the logs will “hang” on the bowls, and gaps will form between them along the entire length of the wall. If you carefully follow the rules and leave a gap, then after the shrinkage is over, the house will simply drop by 10-15 cm, thanks to which it compensates for the decrease in the diameter of the log.

There are manufacturers who do not have many years of construction experience wooden houses, and, of course, do not know about such features. Their goal is to produce a house, but what will happen to it in a few years is of little interest to such craftsmen. Therefore, our experience in wooden housing construction is a guarantee of the quality of your home.

Production of rounded logs lies in the fact that this is a tree trunk, cleaned of branches and processed to a cylindrical shape. The main advantage of a rounded log is its rounded, even shape, which allows for a tight connection. The diameter of the logs used for the construction of wooden houses ranges from 160 to 220 mm, occasionally reaching 240 mm. Profiled logs are much less deformed during the aging process. And thanks to the highest quality of surface treatment and the same diameter, the rounded logs produced do not require additional finishing.

Machine tools that process a log to a cylindrical shape appeared more than a century ago - they were used to make electric and lampposts, and today they are available in almost every large woodworking enterprise. But for the production of logs, an interconnected set of machines is used, which performs a sequential set of operations for the mechanical processing of wood. In order to turn an ordinary non-skinned tree into a rounded log, first its trunk is pre-cleaned from the bark, then it is passed through a system of milling cutters, providing an ideal cylindrical shape with a carefully processed surface, after which the logs are trimmed, the production of grooves, locks (crown cups), drilling technological openings, treatment of logs with flame retardants and antiseptics. AT modern production rounded logs, the necessary locks and grooves, as well as a mathematically verified surface, are made with high precision, as a result of which the crowns of such logs have minimal gaps, and the bars can be connected at the required angle.

Production technology of rounded logs

For production of round logs spruce and pine are used. In the process of its cylindering, the outer layer of wood is cut off with milling cutters, revealing the internal structure of the tree, which, during subsequent processing with varnishes, makes it possible to abandon the finish.

Since it is used in the manufacture natural moisture wood, the log equally proportionally throughout its thickness reaches the optimum moisture content, while the appearance of internal stresses is minimal, as a result of which the rounded log is subjected to the smallest deformations. In the depths of the log, a compensation groove is sawn, in which shrinkage cracks are localized, due to which shrinkage wooden house occurs evenly, and the number of surface cracks is greatly reduced.

Production of rounded logs takes place on machines terms of reference according to the project of building a house. Each log is folded into the walls in a certain order and must be marked for subsequent assembly. The construction of the house will require a team of approximately 4 people, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

The finished rounded log is subsequently covered with an antiseptic composition, the basis of which is an environmentally friendly material, and does not require subsequent mechanical processing.

Rounded log - a building material in the form of wooden cylinders, with a smooth and smooth surface. Surface cleanliness is achieved when processing on machine tools - cylindering, the bark is cut off from the surface of the tree trunk, the top layer of loose wood is sapwood. Houses made of calibrated logs are distinguished by high performance and a pleasant, original look.

Round log and its advantages

In order for the log to get its appearance, it is subjected to mechanical processing. For this, automated production lines are used, mechanization achieves a clean surface finish and minimal deviations from the diameter.

Quality control covers all stages: from felling the forest to the delivery of finished products to the warehouse. This achieves a low level of marriage.

Advantages of the rounded log:

  • environmental safety of products;
  • high thermal insulation qualities;
  • strength, durability of the material;
  • natural air permeability of a tree, wood "breathes";
  • ease of building a house from rounded logs.

For dense stacking of logs, they are profiled, a “lunar” groove is used, in the form of a semicircular selection in the lower part of the cylinder, which includes the upper part of the crown. Used and " Finnish profile"- a semicircular cutout with additional ledge locks and grooves for them in the lower log, this profile is optimal for the northern regions. The difference is in the length of the thermal groove, with a Finnish profile it is larger.

Own production of round logs

The production of logs in Moscow is not only processing on machines to a standard diameter. This is a complex technological process, if it is violated, defects in the wood may appear.

Logging in the Nizhny Novgorod and Tver regions, selection, sorting of wood according to quality and further processing on the company's equipment reduce the cost, and the quality of the finished product increases.

Features of such production:

  • Selection of wood for the manufacture of calibrated logs;
  • Technology compliance control;
  • Machine park of the same type, finished products issued according to one standard, which facilitates further work with it;
  • The cost of rounded logs, the price is lower with our own production.

Logs with natural moisture are supplied to the production to avoid the appearance of defects, they are subjected to chamber drying. Log profiling, in the version for the Finnish profile, requires high-quality equipment for chamber drying, it is possible that the lock does not match when the wood warps.

The company is engaged not only in the sale of logs at a price below the average, but also in the construction of houses and buildings according to a finished or newly developed project.

The whole process of production of wooden houses from logs can be divided into several independent stages. Let's look at each of these steps individually:

Log sorting:

Immediately before unloading a newly received batch of logs, all logs are sorted and quality checked before being sent for processing. All of them are sorted according to the required diameters, and stored in a certain order so as to ensure a continuous supply of logs to the rounding machine.

- Production of lumber:

From the sorted logs, those that meet certain criteria are selected. Then they go to a special machine, which cuts them according to the required dimensions. As a result of this operation, lumber is obtained from logs, which in the future will become part of the house: beams, lags, truss system, lathing, subfloor and other elements.

- Production of rounded logs:

After all the logs are sorted in the right way, each log individually begins to be processed in specialized equipment. The log is cylindered into a strictly required diameter, a longitudinal (lunar groove) is cut in it and a compensation groove is cut. All these operations are carried out on the conveyor in one pass of the log, which allows you to perform large volume work in a short time.

- Trimming logs:

After the grooved log with grooves is ready, the log is divided into parts. Each part will become an element of the house in the future. The operation of dividing the log into parts takes place with the help of a trimming machine, which cuts the logs as evenly and accurately as possible.

- Cutting cups according to the project:

The next stage comes after the logs are trimmed. After that, they are sent to a specialized machine, which, using high-precision equipment with the use of laser marking, cuts cups in a rounded log for a wooden house project prepared in advance.

- Antiseptic:

The next stage in the production of rounded logs is its antiseptic treatment. This term refers to the process of applying a special wood-protective composition to logs, which allows you to save all the natural properties of the log, protects against negative environmental factors and insects. Antiseptic treatment of logs in production is carried out by immersing the log in special bath, which allows you to process the log from all sides as efficiently as possible.

- Warehousing:

The final stage in the production of rounded logs is their storage in special piles. When laying logs in stacks, each row of logs is laid with bars, which allows air flows to "walk" between the rows and columns of logs. This allows the logs to naturally ventilate, resulting in excellent log storage.

- Sending materials:

After all the logs for the project have been prepared and the required amount of lumber has been made, wooden house it is completed with the necessary amount of materials that are also necessary for assembling a house on the site. After the complete readiness of all materials and components of a wooden house, it is sent to the customer's site, where, upon arrival, we proceed to assemble the house.

From time immemorial, our ancestors built houses from wood, using sanded logs for this. The need to use natural environmentally friendly materials for the construction of your own home is fully justified. That's why latest ways wood processing to help create rounded logs immediately gained popularity, and the number of built country houses from this material grows from year to year.

Our company uses the most modern technology wood processing, and the control system operating at the production site rejects logs with wood defects. Therefore, the rounded logs produced by us fully comply with the regulations of GOST 8486 of 1986. As a result, an almost perfect wood cylinder with a smooth surface and design parameters is delivered to the construction site.

Construction of houses from logs

We divide the process of building a house from a rounded log into five successive stages, performed after familiarization with the results of engineering and geological studies carried out at the construction site: 1. development of a house design or selection standard project from the catalog we have; 2. foundation arrangement; 3. felling; four. roofing; 5. finishing works (if the customer wishes).

The choice of foundation design

The most important part of the house is its foundation. For log houses, the most economical and least labor-intensive is one of the strip foundation options: shallow; recessed (reinforced). The choice of the correct foundation design is carried out after analyzing the results of topographic surveys and geological surveys, taking into account the weather conditions in the region where the construction of the house is planned. High quality of the foundations we produce is explained not only by the professionalism of its creators, but also by the refusal to perform the subsequent stages of work until the concrete reaches the standard strength.

felling technology

Houses made of logs are being built according to the plans developed as part of the project. technological maps. The logs are delivered to the construction site marked, which makes it possible to exclude their manual adjustment from the assembly process, thereby reducing the construction time. During the assembly process, the created crowns are fastened using wooden dowels at the minimum acceptable distance. This technology eliminates the risk of wall distortion and guarantees the geometric stability of the structure being created. We use jute tape to seal the interventional space. This choice is explained by the high content of lignin in jute, which protects its fibers from decay.

Roofing

Roofing work in the construction of a log house is somewhat different from the technology used in the construction of buildings whose walls are made up of other building materials. When covering a log house with a roof, it is impossible to connect rafters, girders and gables into a single rigid structure. In the process of natural shrinkage of the walls, the upper part of the roof will lower along with the ridge, reducing the angle between the mauerlat and the rafters. This will lead to a change in the geometry of the roof, which is fraught with a break in the crossbar or the appearance of cracks. Therefore, we create rafter system receives sliding connections to the power plate and is completely independent of the gables. As a roof covering, we recommend to our customers the use of soft roofing tiles or metal tiles. These materials are characterized by relatively low weight, which reduces the load on the walls of the house and the foundation.

Some Conclusions

The use of rounded logs allows you to create a stable structure of the frame of the house. Hermetic corner and intervention joints, created in full compliance with the requirements of GOST 30974 of 2002, contribute to giving the walls an increased insulating capacity and help reduce heating costs during the operation of such a house. The surface of the walls is extremely smooth and in most cases does not need additional finishing.
