What is included in the Power of Creative Design training package? Creative ideas and solutions for changing the interior Creative ideas for the interior of the apartment.

Hello dear colleague!

Since you are reading these lines, then, most likely, I do not need to explain to you what Photoshop is. You know how to work with layers, color channels and masks. You know how to clip any objects and are familiar with filters firsthand.

In a word, you call yourself a designer without hesitation, right?

  • Then why are the fruits of your creativity not interesting to anyone except your family and friends?
  • Why have the collages you created still not brought you a penny, although your portfolio has been flaunting on a well-known Internet portal for a whole year?
  • Why does an employer look through your portfolio at an interview in a design studio or an advertising agency without a twinkle in his eye? And after the interview no one ever calls you back?

Are you familiar with this situation? Personally, I got into it more than once!

And just like you, once I also asked: “What the hell do they need?! After all, I know by heart all the tools of Photoshop! All filters and effects! I can apply textures to objects and even retouch old photos! Why doesn't anyone get excited about my work?

My journey from performer to creative

Like many aspiring designers, once I could not find a job for a long time. After studying graphic design courses, I spent about two years knocking on the doorsteps of studios and printing houses. But for some reason, the work in my portfolio did not impress anyone.

Today, looking back, I perfectly understand what was the reason.

The fact is that 90% of employers want the designer to be able not only to “draw a picture” in Korel or Photoshop, but also independently invent and implement full design concept, be it a banner, print ad or package design.

Unfortunately, almost no courses teach this ...

I will never forget my very first day at work. My boss assigned me to design a simple print ad for a print service directory. Today, it would take me about 2 hours to complete such a task. But then I suffered for a whole week ...

I climbed out of my skin to demonstrate my creative abilities, but in fact, a banal and expressionless collage came out ...

In the end, I was able to complete the layout only with the help of a more experienced colleague. Who in 10 minutes came up with and sketched on paper the idea of an advertising image. According to his sketches, I only had to diligently “draw”, or rather, mount the picture in Photoshop and choose the font for the title.

Over the years of my design career, I went from rookie artist to art director at a major advertising agency, and my main specialty was inventing advertising images.

Today, my experience and knowledge allow me to do what I love in free mode and lead the lifestyle that I have always dreamed of - to be a "citizen of the world", to travel, live and work in different countries, communicate and make friends with representatives of different peoples and cultural traditions.

In order to go from performer to creative It took me years of hard study and work. But, having gone this way, I know that it was possible to achieve the desired goal much faster. And you can do it too!

But for this, you, first of all, have to decide who you want to be - a creative designer, performer, or just a “draughtsman” of pictures in Photoshop.

Photoshop or designer?

What is the difference between a designer and a Photoshop user?

Compared to the world of music, the designer is the composer, and the Photoshop user is the performer. Of course, there is nothing wrong with always being just a good performer. As they say, not everyone can fly into space ...

But if you dream of a career creative designer, that is:

  • Do you want to work on interesting, breathtaking projects…
  • Independently create posters, banners, outdoor advertising, which would attract customers like a magnet.
  • Come up with advertising concepts that customers would be willing to pay good money for.
  • To scroll through your portfolio, the employer would immediately offer you to sign a contract ...

Then you should clearly understand that the possession of graphic editors is far from the most important thing. Much more important learn to think as a creative designer.

“Thinking creatively” means thinking imaginatively.
Be able to come up with and visualize any ideas.

How to distinguish a creative image from an attractive picture?

The answer is simple: unlike just a picture (or illustration), the image is endowed with additional meaning. It engages our imagination, makes us think.

All 4 examples are quite attractive and executed with great skill. But the 2 bottom options are creative images, and the options at the top are just pretty pictures.

Why? Yes, because in the two examples below, in a figurative form, the unique property of the drink is described - its ability to reduce the weight of the consumer. For this purpose, an interesting creative technique is used here - stereotype visualization. See? The “skirt” literally falls off the bottle. Moreover, in this image we do not see anything superfluous, irrelevant, because the role of the “skirt” is played by the label on the bottle. And in the version on the right, the designer went even further and tucked the “skirt” with a safety pin.

It can be said about such work that it has a “zest”. It is interesting. She is unusual. She is remembered. In a word, it has creativity!

But about the works in the top row, we can only say that the designer owns Photoshop. They don't have any additional ideas. We see only the logo and the effects of flying fragments or ice, splashes and a splash of a drink in a glass.

"What's wrong with that?" - you ask. Absolutely nothing! No one is trying to convince you that the examples in the top row are bad. They are good. And it is very important to be able to create such pictures.

But it is even more important to be able to come up with interesting, conceptually expressive and memorable images. In the field of creative design, it is precisely such specialists that are most valued. It is these designers that are respectfully called creatives.

For any employer in the field of graphic design, such a specialist is worth its weight in gold. After all, unlike a graphic artist, a creative person can work independently - come up with and implement any ideas.

Do you want to learn how to think like a creative and easily implement
any concepts? I have a great solution for you!

Recently, together with my colleague, freelance designer Vitaly Yushkov, I conducted an intensive online training "The Power of Creative Design". The purpose of our training was to kill two birds with one stone: to teach novice designers to come up with extraordinary, interesting and well-remembered images and at the same time - technically implement their ideas with the help of Adobe Photoshop.

For a whole month, the participants of the training comprehended the secrets of design image creative advertising.

Classes were held simultaneously in two formats. Twice a week we met in a virtual classroom, where Vitaly and I explained the material of the current lesson and analyzed the completed homework. In parallel, the training participants posted sketches and options for work on the pages of a closed group in one of the social networks.

This gave them the opportunity to discuss the work each other, share ideas and simply communicate.

During the training, a warm trusting relationship developed between the group members, some really made friends and continued to communicate after the training.

But, most importantly, the training participants really learned how to invent and create interesting creative advertising!

The audience was tasked to come up with and implement a design idea for an image advertising on the theme of summer holidays. According to the terms of the assignment, the advertisement should invite to spend a vacation in some country, city or region, at the participant's choice.

Moreover, it was not enough just to create an interesting picture, it was necessary to make this picture “sell” some feature of the proposed vacation spot. In the language of advertising, this feature is called USP (Unique Selling Proposition).

Most of the participants took the task very seriously. They worked with full dedication - they searched for ideas, collected materials for work, tried many options for translating the idea, and in the end, they achieved impressive results!

The work lasted 4 weeks and included chat discussions on a special training page, webinars and Skype consultations.

At the end of the training, we held a competition of final works and chose three winners.

Here are some of our finalists (click on thumbnail to view larger image)

Agree that the work came out really interesting. It will not be a shame to add them to your portfolio. And this despite the fact that for most of the participants of the training it was a creative debut! None of them had ever done advertising design. And some even had no experience in Photoshop. At the introductory lesson, they admitted to Vitaly and me that they consider themselves "full zeros" in photoshop...

Now, after completing the training, their self-esteem has increased significantly. Many of our "graduates" can now expect to receive interesting, well-paid jobs or successful employment. Now they have something to offer the employer and how to surprise him!

Here is what the trainees themselves say...

A successful combination of learning: creative design, technical design, work in Photoshop, group communication, webinars, as well as constant support from teachers and friends.

When Boris Potashnik sent an invitation to the Power of Creative Design training, I immediately decided to participate, although the course was intended for people who know Photoshop. Photoshop was zero for me, as was creative design.

The "Power of Creative Design" training is a successful combination of training: creative design, technical design, work in Photoshop, group communication, webinars, as well as constant support from teachers and friends. Very capacious, productive. I learned from my own and others' mistakes. I don’t know about advanced designers, but for me the course turned out to be very interesting and difficult. At some point, I thought that I would not succeed, but I pulled myself together and brought it to the end. This was my victory.

Most importantly, this training helped me shift my inhibitions. I began to look at design differently, I began to understand what creative design is, where to start work, what to strive for.

Thanks to our strict and kind teachers!!!

Great short tutorials in Photoshop! Thank you Vitaly! Everything you taught, I immediately used and learned a lot. I understood what to do now, what to pay attention to, how to develop further. This is very, very important. I can't stop, I've already done some work in Photoshop and used your tutorials and tips. My work has changed and I feel like I'm not a student!

Thank you very much Boris for the knowledge, lessons and disassembly. I have grown a lot for this course and I feel it myself. I had a goal - if I can finish, I'll go look for a more interesting job. Now I'm sure I can find it. I got bold!

Many thanks to all my friends from the group for their support and comments! We all passed and “voila!”)). Further - themselves.

See you at the new trainings!

“Of course, the training helped to break the “standards” that were firmly planted in the head.

The most important summary is that the training is excellent and I recommend it to everyone!

What impressed me the most was the friendly atmosphere at the training. Before that, I had to participate in trainings (not with Boris and Vitaly, unfortunately), and often the leaders were clearly focused on the most advanced leaders, while the rest quickly turned out to be “overboard”.

There was nothing like this here, even the most inexperienced and uncreative (I'm talking about myself) constantly extended a helping hand and were very helpful with advice!

Moreover, this mood was transmitted to all participants, and there were a lot of friendly tips and support from other participants of the training on the training forum, so that in addition to hard work, we also received a maximum of very pleasant communication here.

My motive for coming to the training was a little different from the others. The fact is that I have a small business and a website for it, boring and uninteresting made by "strangers" people. I would like to make a site with a creative design that will be distinguished not only by “beautiful pictures”, but also by embedded ideas, and of course, a site that would “sell”. Of course, the training helped to break the “standards” that had firmly settled down in my head.

Unfortunately, I was forced to miss two classes, which knocked me out of the process (this is only my fault), so I could not finish my work at the training. Nevertheless, although this is not visible from the results, I emphasize once again that I have never regretted participating!

Many thanks to Boris and Vitaly for their honest attitude and great love for your work!

Unfortunately, many applicants could not take part in the online training due to technical reasons (slow Internet, time difference between time zones, etc.). If you are among them, no problem!

Now you have a great chance to catch up,
independently complete all the material of the last training
and achieve even more impressive results!

I present to you the physical version of the training:

“I can definitely say about myself that with new knowledge, I feel more confident.”

“I realized that creativity is a very exciting thing that requires a 180-degree turn of consciousness!”

Dear our and dear leaders of the training "The Power of Creative Design" Boris and Vitaly! With great pleasure and warmth, I want to thank you for the knowledge that you so generously and patiently shared with us, for your patience with our stubborn misunderstanding and inability, and for not giving us the opportunity to lose faith in our own strengths and abilities.

I learned a lot from this training. First, I tried to understand what creativity is. I'm not sure that I fully succeeded, but I intend to continue moving in this direction. In any case, this is a very exciting thing that requires a 180-degree turn of consciousness!

Secondly, I discovered such a huge number of tricks and "chips" that make it easier and faster to work in Photoshop, that it is not possible to learn them all at once. But thanks to the ability to review the video lessons prepared by Vitaly, the material can be learned gradually, step by step.

Thirdly, the comments of the training leaders on the work of all participants were very important, since we often made the same mistakes and this was just the case when we could learn both from our own and from others' mistakes. And it was joyful when someone managed to finally overcome difficulties and achieve the desired result.

In conclusion, I also want to thank all the participants of the training for their diligence and perseverance shown in the “battles” with stamps of “postcard” vision and for the victory of creativity! Thank you all for your support, advice, inspiration and positive atmosphere.

And for beginner designers and just people who are interested in design issues, I would recommend taking this training. You will learn a lot of useful and interesting things for yourself.

Are you not sure about something? Let's take a look at what might be stopping you:

  • “Official face-to-face courses, although they cost more, they give a certificate of completion” First, to find official rates for creative design thinking, you have to try really hard! They practically do not exist. The courses, as a rule, give the basics of design theory and teach how to use programs. Secondly, decide for yourself what you need - knowledge or a piece of paper? Advertising employers are the least interested in your testimonials - they look primarily at the portfolio. And if it is interesting and professional for you, they will work with you. Because the result is important to them, and not a piece of paper about passing some courses.
  • “There are many video tutorials on Photoshop on the Internet that you can download. Why pay? Of course you can download. But I bet you that all these lessons, at best, will teach you how to make collages to the delight of your grandmother. And we invite you to learn how to invent and implement advertising concepts that will sell! And which will not be ashamed to show the employer.
  • "I'm not sure I'll learn anything" You won't learn anything if you just listen to the lessons and do nothing. If you begin to work actively, the result will not be long in coming. All information is presented simply, clearly and clearly.
  • "I won't be able to..." Have you already tried? You won't know for sure until you try. Try it, and if you really do not succeed, then we will refund you the full cost of the training.
  • “I am already a good designer because I am fluent in Photoshop” Software proficiency is certainly important, but it does not determine what kind of designer you are. A graphic designer must master the basics of the profession - composition, color and typography. And also be able to invent and embody creative graphic images. Without these basics, owning any graphics editor can be useless.
  • "I'm not sure you can teach me" Read the testimonials of people who have completed our training and you will see that we can do it.

Marat Aranbaev

It was not an easy training, but very productive.

I am a long-time subscriber of Boris, and the quantity and quality of the material did not surprise me. Everything is clear and precise - the main thing is that later there is a desire to work.

Until now, Vitaly was not familiar with teaching methods, but now I know for sure from whom you can probably learn all sorts of Photoshop tricks: only the lazy will not learn anything from his video tutorials either. In general, everything was done very professionally, painstakingly and with a lot of patience.

Unfortunately, at the first lessons I did not have time with homework, if I did, then, by and large, somehow ... the troubles at work and the intensity of the classes affected. But still he managed to make up for everything and finish the final project due to the fact that the records of the classes already completed can be viewed several times at a convenient time for everyone. That's what I did: I scrolled, listened to the comments and corrected. After the training is over, there will be time to memorize everything properly.

"Thank you so much! For the mobilization of convolutions, for advice, criticism, for praise!”

Dear Boris and Vitaly, Thank you very much! For the mobilization of convolutions, for advice, criticism, for praise!

Boris, I like your clarity in expressing thoughts, in the sequence and increasing the complexity of classes, in diction, finally! I myself am a pedantic person, sometimes even too much, so I like it when everything is clearly and intelligibly stated.

Vitaly, I bow to your experience, despite this tender age! when did you manage to do all this ???)) I was glad to be your student!

The training went off with a bang, I learned a lot for myself, a lot of invaluable information settled in the cerebellum. As they say - everything can be taken away from you, but no one can ever take away your knowledge.

Of course, now I want to study and study, because with each, albeit a small success, the excitement only grows. Therefore, I do not say goodbye! Odnokashki, you health and good luck, thanks for the company and support))

Let's summarize. Here's what you get with the training
"The Power of Creative Design":

  • You will learn the most valuable thing in the creative profession - create images, which not only attract the attention of the audience, but also sell the product!
  • You will learn how to design print ads using your knowledge of design, marketing and psychology.
  • You will master advertising creative techniques and master the techniques for creating successful advertising concepts.
  • You will know which creative technique and the technique must be applied in order to achieve a certain result.

Interior design features

The creation of any interior solution is based on the goal of creating a cozy and comfortable environment for the inhabitants. The interior of the house should be filled with harmony, which will help a person to take a break from everyday worries and responsibilities.

The arrangement of even a small room requires the implementation of several requirements at once:

  • It is necessary to create a healthy indoor environment, both mentally and physically. A modern interior should not only be properly furnished, but also be equipped with sufficient ventilation, regulated by a battery, so that the temperature remains as comfortable as possible. Proper lighting is also the most important aspect that ensures a comfortable indoor environment.

With the help of light, you can highlight individual areas of the room, give the room an atmosphere of mystery, or vice versa, make a bright large room. It is also worth taking care of the acoustic component for the house.

  • Design ideas should not violate the integrity of the style and at the same time should be individual. According to their features, they should fit a particular room and be a reflection of the inner world of the owner of the room. It is in this situation that the room will become cozy.
  • The issue of budget should also not be ignored. Budget decisions for modern technologies may well look no worse than expensive interior and decoration items.

To create really high-quality and right interior it is recommended to create design projects. It is with their help that you can achieve the perfect end result.

A clear prescription and sketching of all the necessary elements will help to avoid many mistakes and alterations in the process of creating the interior design of the room.

When creating a design project, it is first of all important to consider the dimensions of the room. Before starting to create a project, it is necessary to measure the entire space. This will help determine the best options for placing furniture and accessories, as well as correctly calculate the consumption of materials for finishing.

After collecting all measurements of the dimensions of the room, you can proceed directly to creating a layout of the future room. Here it is necessary to determine the layout, placement of lighting elements, pieces of furniture. At the same stage, it is worth taking care of the selection of colors, textures and finishing materials.

When the sketch is ready, it will be possible to proceed to the creation of a working draft, according to which all subsequent work will be directly carried out. Separate plans are developed for wiring, lighting, materials and laying the floor, walls and ceiling. After all these steps have been completed, you can proceed directly to the creation of the interior.

Successful work with any type of work project is to follow a few simple rules:

  • It is always necessary to strive to create a single harmonious composition. Any room will have a semantic zone, from which the rest of the space will be repelled. So, for example, most often such a zone can be a central room, for example, a living room or dining room. As a rule, these are the largest rooms in terms of area, and it is for this reason that they can become the semantic center of the composition.
  • When creating the right composition, it is necessary to take into account the combination of overall dimensions of objects that will be used in the decor of the rooms. Everything must be proportionate to each other, otherwise dissonance will be created, negatively affecting the overall atmosphere and appearance of the room.

  • To achieve harmony in the house and add uniqueness to it, some rhythm will help, which will create the effect of a constantly moving living space. Using a mixture of textures, sizes, color accents, all this can achieve the same effect.
  • Maintaining an optimal balance between furnishings is also one of the important factors by which successful and practical interiors are created.

Among other things, there are certain design trends that also affect its features.

One of the main trends today is the tendency to combine space. People are increasingly refusing several private rooms in favor of the large light space that arises when combined. That is why studio apartments are very popular today.

As for finishing materials, naturalness is in fashion today. In addition to a presentable appearance, the natural materials used in the decoration ensure environmental friendliness and safety of use.

If we consider the most popular style solutions that are used in the decor of apartments, then we can undoubtedly note hi-tech and modern. These types of designs have not lost their popularity for several seasons in a row.

The presence of vintage items is extremely popular in the setting. Old wardrobes, beds, chests of drawers, lamps and other vintage-style accessories are highly valued when creating a fashionable interior.

Design style

To date, there are many different style solutions, each of them can not only emphasize the purpose of the room, but also reflect the inner world of the person living in it. To choose the most stylish options interior solutions, you need to familiarize yourself with the main directions.

antique style- This is one of the lightest and least loaded options for the situation. There should not be unnecessary accessories, massive furniture, partitions that will divide the room into zones. This style is distinguished by the use of the most light pastel shades, due to which the room necessarily has a lot of light, it is easy and pleasant to be in it.

The style decision is based on a person, his distinctive features and qualities, so the interior should not be overloaded and overshadow the personality of the living person.

Columns, bas-reliefs, stucco will become distinctive feature room decoration in antique style. As for the color scheme, the most common colors for this style are: - white, gray, ocher, beige, sand. Various golden blotches are also applicable. Walls with fabric instead of wallpaper are a great option for this type of design. As additional elements decoration used stucco, sculptures, tall vases.

Still popular classic interiors . This style is best for the most active people. The chosen style decision allows you to create a feeling of relaxation and peace. Massive pieces of furniture are made of natural wood with various monograms, clippings. The color scheme is usually dark. The most reliable pieces of furniture are distinguished by a classic style solution.

Depending on the direction of the classics, a lot of artsy details can be present in the design. Golden monograms, massive stucco, layering and unusual shapes will hallmark classical baroque style. The use of bright colors in the interior is quite acceptable, but it is better to concentrate on one or more bright elements, everything else should be done in calmer mother-of-pearl shades.

It is best to use stained-glass windows as bright accents; in combination with the right lighting, they will help create an interesting and creative option.

Flowers, bows, light shades, ruffles, soft corners are romanticism. The execution of the premises in the style of romanticism imposes some obligations on planning. A few bright accents - and now minimalism plays with completely different colors.

We decorate the walls

Any wall will look more stylish and modern if you add suitable decor. At the same time, for each room, you can choose both completely abstract themes for decor, and those that will meet the purpose of the room.

So, for example, for the kitchen, you can choose a culinary design style - decoupage using drawings kitchen utensils, foodstuffs on drawer fronts, appliqués with interesting matching pictures of utensils. You can cut the silhouettes of kraft paper dishes and stick them on newspaper clippings, arrange them in a beautiful suitable frame and get a great decoration for a country-style kitchen.

You can decorate the walls with different fabrics. Multi-colored trimmings can turn into a patchwork-style canvas that can not only decorate the wall, but also provide a certain percentage of sound insulation. Stretchers can be covered with fabric, depending on the texture and color, the finished canvases can be decorated with various elements, for example, in vintage style, or left without decor if the fabric is already an integral interior unit.

You can also decorate a fabric canvas with the help of painting. Painting will help achieve an interesting effect. If you create a chaotic pattern, it will fit perfectly into the hi-tech style and minimalism.

You can create unusual accents on the wall. So, for example, a massive picture with an unusual text in a massive frame will be an excellent decor option. The only thing worth remembering is that such a large and massive object will attract all the attention, which means that there is no need to overload the room with other accents.

Such an interior solution makes sense only to complement, but in no case to divert attention.

You can focus on botanical prints in wall decor. Simple applications of dried flowers fit perfectly into the Provence style. In addition, you can create a stencil from silk or plastic in the form of leaves, flowers, berries. After that, putting the stencil on the canvas, you need to fill the free space with color from the sprayer or blur the watercolor.

Frames with butterflies will be an excellent decoration. They will add sun and summer atmosphere to any room. You can decorate the wall with dried butterflies under glass, but many consider this method barbaric, so you can get the desired print using decoupage or just print photos.

You can decorate the walls with curly shelves of various colors. And if you install stylized figurines on them, you get the perfect solution for high-tech and loft-style rooms.

By opting for simple white or wooden shelves filled with photo frames and vintage dishes, you can get a full-fledged interior in country or Provence style. The soft color scheme of the wall in pastel colors can be decorated with light beige or gray paintings. various types. Landscapes, geometric prints, flowers, animals in light shades will create a peaceful, soothing interior.

It looks interesting style decision in the style of country and Provence, in which there is wood decor on the walls. So, for example, white with the effect of aging wooden panels will become great solution for such an interior.

Decorative accessories

It is known that comfort is created from trifles. Therefore, various kinds of home accessories will be an excellent tool for creating just such an interior.

Properly selected home textiles will help create a sophisticated interior, add an extra touch of comfort. Noble materials, such as tapestry, velor and velvet, will harmoniously fit into aristocratic interiors. Baroque and Empire will gravitate towards such options. Delicate silk, cotton, lace and linen will complement country and provence, you can also use these materials to create a shabby chic interior.

Rough jacquard, natural and artificial leather in pillows of different sizes and shapes, emphasize the authenticity of solutions such as loft and high-tech.

The color scheme of accessories should be selected based on the purpose of the room and personal preferences. So, for the bedroom, deeper solid colors of soothing shades are suitable, for the nursery, you can use brighter pillows, the living room gravitates towards various prints and geometric patterns. When choosing a fabric with a pattern, it should be borne in mind that in order not to create an overload, you should not get too carried away with colors.

It is advisable to use prints only with a single-color basis. For example, if the sofa on which the pillows will be laid is made in one color, then you can easily experiment with the colors of the pillows themselves.

An excellent decor option for a room can be to use glass partitions and screens, they will not only help to zone the space, but also bring a touch of unusualness to the interior. Ingenious design options for screens and partitions can be found in many stores today. Many of them are equipped with additional lighting or they are translucent only from one side, usually from the inside.

Creative impulses can be realized in the independent creation of decorative elements. So, for example, a patchwork-style plaid can be easily created with your own hands. It only takes a little patience, pieces of cloth and sewing machine. However, all the efforts spent will be worth the candle, because it is this method that will help you get a trendy thing today with minimal cost, and precisely in those color schemes that will suit this or that interior.

Various vases and figurines can act as decorative accessories. They can be located both directly on the floor and on various shelves. Properly selected, they can fit into almost any interior.

You can also use various carpets for interior decor. They can be both natural wool and artificial, as well as fabric. The use of carpets in the room performs not only an aesthetic function, but also protects a person from contact with the cold floor and provides soundproofing of the room. In addition, the carpet can also be used as a decorative element for the wall. It will also provide sound insulation and become a hallmark of an oriental-style interior.

Modern interiors are increasingly decorated with decorative aquariums. They can be of various shapes and volumes, in the form of columns and balls filled with water, large panoramic niches built into the wall, and no one forgets about the usual standard rectangles.
