  • abandon the use of massage brushes, replacing them with wooden combs with sparse teeth;
  • use shampoo for curly hair with silicone for washing (to protect against moisture loss);

Unwanted "side effects"

After biowave, shine is sometimes lost, excessive dryness of hair appears. Although the procedure is gentle on the hair, moisture is lost, brittleness may increase and stiffness of the hair, in exceptional cases - loss of strands.

Careful care, moisturizing and nourishing the hair follicle is necessary to eliminate this effect. Bad smell can last up to two weeks, it gradually disappears.

On hair that has been previously dyed, sharp curls can alternate with even strands. If there is irritation, dry skin or dandruff, problems can intensify.

After hair regrowth transition becomes noticeable. from curls to roots (not always it turns out to be smooth). Sometimes a biowave lasts longer than 9 months, the hair does not completely straighten out. It depends on the type of hair, and it is impossible to predict in advance what effect will be obtained in each case.

How to style hair after biowave

During the first two days Not recommended combing hair: it is enough to straighten the curls with your fingers, giving the necessary shape. For washing it is better to use professional shampoos.

After biowave, hair needs intense hydration(conditioner alternately with masks designed for dry curly hair).

Drying your hair with a towel should not be: just blotting the strands is enough to avoid fluffiness.

Have to give up the massage brush. When using a hair dryer, protect your hair from hot air with the help of special products with heat-protective properties.

Equally important is the care of the ends of the hair: they need to be cut every 2 months(so that split ends do not spoil appearance and for ease of installation). Curls can be easily straightened with a flat iron. Hair in this case becomes voluminous and lush.

Attention! If you have a biowave, it is not recommended to comb your hair after washing, you must let it dry. To keep your curls in shape throughout the day, you need to use styling products for curly hair.

How long does the effect last and how often can the procedure be repeated?

How long will the effect last depends on the hair(not all hair types react equally to perms). The minimum indicator is 2 months, the maximum is 9 months.

On average, curls after the procedure last 3-5 months (when performing not waves, but curls), after which they gradually straighten out, their appearance does not cause inconvenience to the owner. You can repeat the biowave every six months.

With all the variability of fashion, mischievous curls and feminine curls remain outside of it, which always up to date. With proper care, the beauty of the hairstyle can be preserved for a long time.

Dreams of beautiful lush curly hair are visited by many women. We always want to have what we don't have. We look with envy at girls with neat curls, lush styling and bitterly think that we can achieve the same effect only by daily styling with a curling iron or using curlers. But it’s easy to get the hairstyle of your dreams, you just need to surrender to the hands of an experienced master who will make a high-quality hair biowave.

What is biowave

Conventional perm is losing its popularity, it is being replaced by new gentle technologies. Biochemical technology was invented back in 1999, every year it replenishes its ranks with new admirers. Home distinctive feature biowave is that it is considered conditionally harmless, gentle and even beneficial to hair.

The chemical mixture applied to the strands during the biowave procedure (in other words, biological or biochemical curling) does not contain components hazardous to the health of the hairline, namely ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, thioglycolic acid. Its main component, the active substance, is cysteamine hydrochloride, which is similar in structure to the protein that is contained in the structure of the hair. It has a beneficial effect on the condition of the hairline; after biowave, the hair retains its natural shine, softness, and elasticity.

Only strict adherence to the technology of the procedure and the hands of an experienced master are able not to harm the hair, not to disturb its structure and not to burn it. Sometimes hairdressers recommend that girls with damaged hair combine biochemistry with a structural hair restoration procedure. Brittle dry hair will not only acquire beautiful curls, but will also shine with brilliance, become soft and manageable.

If you are still thinking about whether it is worth doing a biowave, then here are some facts in favor of this procedure:

  • Biowave will radically change your image, bringing notes of romance, bohemian luxury, elegance;
  • The procedure will not spoil your hair, but will add the missing volume and splendor to thin lifeless strands;
  • Biochemical perm helps to get rid of excess oily hair;
  • You will no longer need to do styling every day if there is not enough time, you just need to wash your hair, pat it dry with a towel, apply a balm and leave it to dry without a hair dryer - you are guaranteed beautifully styled curls.

How to make a biowave at home (technology)

Biowave in beauty salons is an expensive procedure, so some girls have adapted to perform it on their own at home. If you want to experiment by making a perm at home, then first of all choose a quality product for this. Give preference to well-known companies, proven manufacturers. You will need not only a curling composition, but also a cream shampoo, an equalizer conditioner, and a neutralizer. All products must be from the same company, there is no need to mix components from different manufacturers.

Tip: Go for a consultation with an experienced hairdresser. Consult with him about choosing the right product, suitable for the structure and condition of your hair. The final result depends on the correct choice of perm.

To make a biowave at home, use:

  • chemical agent;
  • Bobbins of the required diameter (if you want to get small curls, use small bobbins, and if you want to have large curls, then you will need large bobbins);
  • Small foam sponges - 2 pcs.;
  • Glass, plastic or ceramic utensils for mixing components;
  • Protective gloves for hands;
  • A comb with small plastic teeth;
  • Towel;
  • cap;
  • Hairdresser's cape on clothes.

Before starting the procedure, make sure that there is no allergy to one of the components of the product. Apply a small amount of perm on the wrist, hold for 10-15 minutes, rinse. With allergies, the skin will turn red, irritation will occur. The use of such a composition is prohibited.

Step technology:

  1. Wash your hair with a special shampoo that was purchased with a curling compound. The shampoo will slightly lift the cuticles of the hairs to enhance the effect of the curl.
  2. Blot the strands with a towel, but do not dry thoroughly. They must remain moist.
  3. Comb your hair. Apply a small amount of bio-curling preparation along the entire length.
  4. Divide the hair into several parts: upper occipital, lower occipital, side parts, temporal parts.
  5. Alternately, tightly wind all the hair into bobbins, pulling the strands, creating tension. Winding must be carried out quickly in order to achieve a uniform result.
  6. Using a foam sponge, moisten the strands wound on the bobbins with a biowave solution. This step is extremely important, you need to wet the strands carefully so that liquid flows slightly from the bobbins.
  7. Put on a hairdresser's hat.
  8. Keep the remedy for 15-25 minutes. After 7-10 minutes, unwind one strand from the bobbin, check the condition of the curl: does it retain desired shape What is its diameter. From these indicators, adjust the further time of the procedure.
  9. Once the required time has been reached, wash your hair thoroughly and abundantly. warm water without removing the bobbins, the strands should remain wound.
  10. Using a second foam sponge, apply 1/3 of the neutralizer to the curled hair. Keep it on for 10-15 minutes.
  11. Carefully remove the bobbins. Apply the remaining amount of neutralizer to the curls. Keep it on for another 5 minutes.
  12. Rinse the substance from the curls with warm water.
  13. Apply a special leave-in conditioner.
  14. Dry your hair naturally.

Biowave completed!

How long does a biowave last

How long the result of the procedure lasts depends on the correct choice of chemical agent, the size of the resulting curls, as well as the condition and structure of the hair. On average, the effect lasts for 3-6 months. It should be noted that with biochemical perm there is no sharp transition between curled curls and regrown hair. The border is erased, styling looks natural. To always shine with neat curls, it is recommended to do a gentle perm two to three times a year.

Overview of products and preparations for biowave

Modern means for soft curling of hair. A unique composition that has no analogues. Among the components of the drug there is no thioglycolic acid, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide.

The composition of the product contains an analogue of cysteine - ISOamine, a substance that penetrates deep into the hair structure without lifting the cuticle. Due to the absence of weighting moisturizing additives among the components, an excellent result is achieved from hair texturing.

Additional action: the drug performs a complex intercellular hair restoration, strengthens hydrogen compounds inside the hairs.

Curling with Mossa not only creates beautiful natural curls, but also preserves the natural color of the hair, emphasizes its brightness and contrast. The effect of the procedure is comparable to the results of a classic perm.

Additional action: the hair acquires the effect of conditioning.

Hair care after biowave

  • During the first 3-5 days after biochemical waving, it is recommended to refrain from washing your hair.
  • It is allowed to carry out staining or highlighting no earlier than two weeks after biowaving.
  • When combing, do not use massage brushes, otherwise the hair will become extra fluffy, the curls will look careless and unstructured. Give preference to combs with fine teeth.
  • When washing your hair, use shampoos containing silicone to prevent dry hair.
  • After biowave, do not forget to use hair masks aimed at restoring damaged curls.

Medium length hair provides a wide scope for various hairstyles. The main thing in this matter is to learn how to style them beautifully. Of course, you can achieve an excellent result if you regularly visit a hairdresser, but, for sure, there will not be enough time or money for these procedures.

It doesn’t matter - there are many options for long-term styling for medium-length hair, which any woman can do on her own.

Long-term styling can be done in several ways - these are perm, bio-perm, carving and others. How to choose the right option for your hair and how exactly to do these procedures?

Carving

Carving is hair styling using a special chemical composition. But this is not at all the same as a perm - carving does not do such harm to the hair.

Before you do it, you must definitely evaluate the structure of your hair, determine the ideal type of chemical composition for yourself. If you do not follow this and do everything thoughtlessly, you can cause irreparable harm to your strands, after which they will simply have to be cut off.

Carving is a rather gentle procedure for hair, but despite this, you should not abuse its use. It is important to remember that hair deteriorates from any chemical effect and it is necessary to give them a “rest” from the procedure, and only then it will be possible to give them the desired shade.

Bio hair curling

Bio-perm is another hair styling option, but it is advised to carry it out only in hairdressers or beauty salons, otherwise hair can be ruined at home. If a woman does not want to do styling every morning, then this option is perfect for her.
Unlike chemical products, bio-hair waving products contain special proteins that strengthen the hair structure.
The procedure is carried out in stages, with strict observance of the sequence of operations:

  • First of all, the hair is wound on special curlers, and a curling compound is applied to them.
  • The next step will be the application of a second layer of the composition, which thickens the protein already applied to the hair.
  • The last action is the application of a fixative, which restores the structure of the hair and strengthens the curl.
  • Usually a bio-perm lasts from six months to 9 months, so this is a great option for ladies who do not have time for constant styling.

Gentle perm

Chemical perm causes serious damage to hair, but in last years there was an opportunity to reduce this adverse effect. The difference between a gentle perm and a regular perm is that it uses special means softening the hair structure during the procedure. The most gentle ways are acidic and neutral perms.

However, acidic perm is not suitable for everyone - only for soft hair, but neutral perm is ideal for any type. Unlike other options, she does not “tear” the hair, but gently “stretches” it. Thus, the methods of gentle perm provide better preservation of the strands.

Long-term styling is based on the same technology as in conventional perm, however, it uses components that cause less damage to the hair.

Advantages and disadvantages of long-term styling

Frequent perm brings great harm, and if you want your hair to be wavy, long-term styling is ideal. What are its advantages?

  • Firstly, the structure of the hair does not deteriorate, so they will not deteriorate or suffer, and they will not lose their color.
  • Secondly, long-term hair styling (carving) can be easily done on your own, which will significantly reduce your time. This procedure can be repeated every 3 months, but “chemistry” is not advised to be done more than once a year.

The disadvantages of this procedure are that long-term styling is not suitable for long straight hair, as if it was created specifically for medium length. The heaviness of the curls on long hair will cause them to straighten quickly.

Long-term styling on medium hair at home

You can make long-term styling on medium hair yourself, at home, however, if you are not sure of a positive outcome, if this is done for the first time, it is better to contact a class master.
So where do you start?

  • It is necessary to wash your hair thoroughly, then twist wet hair into curlers designed for perming. In this case, the tips should adjoin each other, special attention should be paid to this.
  • Next, you need to apply with a special sponge chemical composition curlers and wrap your head in a towel. It is necessary to wash off this composition after the time indicated in the instructions, the main thing is not to “overexpose”.
  • Rinse your hair with cool water and do not use shampoo.
  • After a few minutes, apply a special fixing mask to the hair and leave it for 15 minutes. It must also be washed off without shampoo.

Then, after the hair is completely dry, you can start styling.

  • Best of all, long-term styling is suitable for medium hair. If a woman is the owner of gorgeous long and thick hair, styling (carving) simply will not take them.
  • If the structure of the hair is weakened, and they are dry and brittle, then you should wait a little with this procedure.
  • If your hair is oily, then carving is perfect for you. This procedure "dries" the hair, which means they will be more voluminous and they will stay clean longer.
  • If the hair is damaged, then first of all, all efforts should be directed not to styling, but to restoring the health of the hair.

Contraindications

There are no contraindications for long-term styling, as such, and for a perm (which is also essentially styling), there are quite a few of them.

  • People prone to allergies should definitely test the composition on the elbow and leave it for 20 minutes. If no reactions follow, then it is permissible to proceed with a perm.
  • It is contraindicated to do a perm during pregnancy, during breastfeeding. This will harm the body, and a normal result will not work.
  • If before that the hair was dyed with basma or henna, then there is no guarantee that the result will be of high quality. The curl may take unevenly or not take at all. Even if you make a trial perm on one curl, it is not a fact that the same effect will be obtained on the rest of the hair.
  • If the hair is dry, brittle and thin, or already significantly damaged by other chemical procedures, then perming is contraindicated. This will bring great harm to already weakened hair, with a high probability of their loss.

Rules for the care of long-term styling

  • Carrying out a long-term styling procedure is only half the battle, it is also important to properly care for your hair.
  • No matter how gentle the carving procedure is, it is still a chemical effect on the hair, which means that it is necessary to use any special masks and balms to restore their structure.
  • It is not necessary to comb wet or damp hair, it is necessary to wait for it to dry completely, otherwise it will “stretch”, and the base and shell of the hair will be damaged.
  • Also, you can not use alcohol-based products and completely eliminate the use of straightening agents.

Owners of healthy hair of medium length can consider themselves happy women- for them, a great many options for styling and hairstyles have been invented. If you treat your natural decoration with due attention, do not show "fanaticism" when using chemicals, you can always look beautiful and elegant.

The first time I did a biowave was in 2012. I have thick hair, but the hair itself is thin, light. Therefore, various styling and hairstyles hold very well. But to straighten them, so that there was a hair to a hair, it never worked out, part of the strands curled and it turned out “neither this nor that”. Yes, and straight hair does not suit me at all, so almost all the time I wound it on spiral-shaped thermo curlers. The matter, of course, is tedious and of little use for the hair.

It took me a long time to decide on a biowave. Still, curiosity overcame doubts. I went to the hairdresser near the house to the master, who constantly cut her hair. The cost of the procedure was only 1000 rubles. It's a long process, but the effect surprised me. The curls looked natural, as if they were their own. The smell of chemicals lingered for a long time, then dry hair stopped smelling, but wet hair continued. The perm lasted for half a year, then gradually the hair began to straighten, and the border of the transition of regrown straight hair to wavy was imperceptible. But now, already taking into account experience, I realized that that master did not do everything right, the composition was very doubtful, although for such a price, one could expect something similar. Well, she didn’t explain how to take care of them at all.

As a result, on the recommendation of a friend, I switched to another master, in another beauty salon. I immediately assessed the level of the master, by how long she cut my hair, as a result - hair to hair, the bangs are simply amazing, I could not even style it, she herself lay as it should. As a result, it was decided to do a biowave here. The cost is 2700 rubles. And now, for the 4th year I have been doing a biowave. According to the following scheme: once every 2 years - curling the hair along the entire length, and in the interval, once every 6-8 months, biowave only regrown roots. So the hair gets less damage.

The curling procedure took 2-2.5 hours and consisted of the following steps:

Preparatory:

Do not dye your hair for 2-3 weeks, and even better a month before the biowave. It will be problematic to make a perm on freshly dyed hair.

This is what my hair looked like 8 months after the last one basal biochemistry (at the end of the review there will be a photo with the condition of the hair six months after the biowave along the entire length)

Biowave process:

  1. First, they washed my hair with a special shampoo.
  2. Winding hair on bobbins. For me, the master picked the largest ones. 30 minutes. For owners of bangs, advice: do not wind the bangs, otherwise then it will just be a torment to straighten it.
  3. Application of a special composition. A roll of towel was wrapped around my forehead so that the composition would not get on my face. The procedure is notable for its unpleasant pungent odor. But what to do. It only lasts 5-10 minutes.
  4. Then comes the agonizing wait. 30 minutes. The master periodically approached, removed the bobbin and evaluated the curl. If everything is fine, then next, go to the sink.
  5. Application to the fixing agent and again waiting for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Washing off the composition. First, right in the bobbins. Then the bobbins were removed, and the hair was washed several times with shampoo, then with balm.
  7. Dry your hair gently with a towel.
  8. Apply foam for curly hair and dried a little with a diffuser, but not completely. I ran home in a handkerchief to let my hair dry naturally.

The result is beauty!

The final stage:

Do not wash your hair for 2-3 days after chemo, and do not wear any metal hairpins during this time

After 2-3 weeks, you need to come for a haircut. As the master explained to me, why it is necessary to cut your hair not before or during, but after the biowave. During the application of the composition, most of all "goes" to the ends of the hair. 2-3 weeks after the procedure, the master assesses the condition of the hair, and recommends how many centimeters the tips need to be removed. I usually have it 2-3 cm. Therefore, I expect 2 months to pass after the last haircut before biochemistry, then I do chemistry and after 3 weeks I already remove the dry tips.

The chemical smell lasts until the first shampoo.

In order for the biowave to look good, you need to follow a few simple rules for caring for it.

  1. First, you can forget about hair brushes and combs with frequent teeth. Now the main tool is a comb with rare teeth.

  2. Shampoo, no matter what.
  3. Most importantly, be sure to use a conditioner or conditioner, the choice of which should be approached very responsibly. I like the Shiseido Tsubaki damage care conditioner the most. The pleasure is not cheap, but I have enough of it for a long time and from time to time in Letual you can buy it at a discounted price.
  4. Hairdryer is better not to use. It is best to let your hair dry naturally. I only use the blow dryer to style my bangs. A little lower I will write how to dry your hair with a hairdryer, if you really need to dry quickly, and quickly get rid of the nix.
  5. After shampooing, apply foam to damp hair to form curls. Why is it needed. So that the hair is not disheveled, not fluffy, and there is no mess on the head and the curls keep their shape. Apply a little on the palms of your hands and, starting from the ends, squeeze the hair, forming curls. When the hair is dry, visually after the foam there will be a “wet hair effect”. Here is how you like it. Because I love more natural look, then just after drying, I comb my hair again with a comb or just with my hands. So the strands glued with foam will fall apart, but then they will again gather into natural curls.
  6. I always use only one tool: Estel Professional always on-line curling foam.

    Hair after curling can be washed much less frequently, literally 1-2 times a week.

    As for daily care. What to do after washing your hair, I have already told.

    Now for the morning exercise every day. From practice, I can say that you wake up, go to the mirror - the view is rather rumpled, especially if you go to bed with wet hair.

    What to do to give the original look. To begin with, simply comb through with a comb. Next, you need to slightly wet the hair with your hands along the entire length, the roots are not necessary. There is no need to apply foam either, because it remains on the hair until the next shampoo. Squeeze the hair with your hands, you can apply a hair spray. I used to use pantene pro-v intensive repair spray, but it ran out quickly and is expensive. In principle, any spray will do, I chose Shamptu. For dry ends before the first haircut after biochem, I sometimes apply Kharizma Voltage Moisturizing Serum. So, it turns out again the effect of wet hair. After such a procedure, the hair dries out in 15-20 minutes, this is just the time to get dressed, have breakfast in the morning. Then I comb it again with my hands and it's done. Shiny, lively, natural curls. It takes 5-10 minutes to do this. By the way, I took an example from a friend who has naturally curly hair. She always brushes them with just her hands and water.

    What to do if you urgently need to wash your hair and immediately run outside. How to dry. Option 2, just a hair dryer or a hair dryer with a diffuser. In any case, the curls will be disheveled. Then you need, as I wrote above, apply a hair spray or moisten a little with water and squeeze your hands. So the curls will quickly acquire the desired shape.

    Photo where I just wet my hair with my hands. I washed my hair 3 days ago - the foam still works.

    Summing up:

    Hair biowave is by no means a useful procedure. Hair becomes drier. Therefore, in order to avoid a “panicle” on the head and complete chaos, you need to take care of them more carefully. Still I can advise sometimes to do or make masks with oils. The internet is full of recipes.

    How long a perm lasts depends on the type of hair. My hair grows faster at the roots than curls straighten out. Therefore, I do basal biochemistry once every 6-7 months, and once every 2 years - along the entire length.

    To avoid problems, you need to find good master. By reviews or through friends.

    In general, biowave makes life much easier for lovers of curls. You just need to follow a few simple rules and you are guaranteed a romantic look.

    The best part is that no one even guesses that this is a biowave, they think that their

    small addition

    By the way, here is a photo of the state of the hair 6 months after biowave along the entire length:

    It can be seen that the hair has grown back, but still the border is not so noticeable.

    Now about mousse for curls.

    Got2be by Shwarzkopf "Trap Double Torque"

    Volume 250 ml

    The price in the Perekrestok supermarket is 363 rubles.

    Perfectly fixes curls.

    Airex Estel Professional

    The volume is much larger than the previous bottles - as much as 400 ml!

    I ordered through the online store for 420 rubles

    I also really liked it, the result is excellent. But, since the bottle is very large, you can’t take it on a trip. So I have Estel just for home use, and Got2be for business trips and vacations.

    And still I liked Got2be the most.

    Biowave hair during pregnancy

    Doctors say that pregnancy is not a disease. And that you should not give up the usual cosmetic procedures. Of course, you should not dye your hair and cover your nails with gel polish every day. But nobody does that. Biowave, which is done every few months, also does not apply to a procedure that can harm the baby. But due to changes in hormonal background Mom, it might just not work out. There is a risk that the hair will remain straight.

    I spent a lot of time trying to find information on the Internet whether it is worth doing a perm in an interesting position or not. And after all ahead holiday. And I decided to take a chance.

    And what can I say - everything is 100% individual. When I came for the procedure, my deadline was 3 months. Six months have passed, and the curls are in place, only the roots have grown already.

    There is no such thing as too much beauty. Eyelash extensions will be beautifully combined with curls: "Eyelash extensions are very beautiful and convenient! BUT it is addictive! Eyelash extensions during pregnancy."

Curly curls suit all face shapes, visually refresh the image and give it romance. Biowave hair allows with the help of one procedure to achieve a long-lasting effect of curly strands and forget about the difficulties of styling for at least six months.

What is hair biowave

Biowave– a modern method of curling hair, which does not use hard chemical components. The procedure is carried out using special formulations, in which about 60% of the components are natural. Of course, it cannot be said that a biological waving agent consists entirely of natural ingredients, but the percentage of synthetic additives in them is much less than in a perm.

The main ingredient in almost all curling products is cysteamine. It is a synthetic acid similar to cysteine. It is necessary to remove excess sulfur and improve their structure. It is this connection that gives bad smell curls after the procedure, but at the same time it also helps to improve their condition.

Advantages of biowave:

  • relative security. Of course, this procedure cannot be called completely harmless, but the hair suffers less from perm with biologically active components than from regular styling with a curling iron or iron;
  • Curls can be straightened. If you get tired of walking all the time with one styling, then the curls can simply be smoothed out with a straightener. Unlike a perm, after which the strands look like tow, the biological effect does not spoil the structure. After subsequent washing, the curls will return to their curled shape;
  • Any means for the procedure somewhat dry the skin at the roots. For owners of dry hair - this is a minus, but for girls with combined or oily curls - a significant plus. Because of this, they will become much less dirty, sebaceous roots, even after 5 days, will be almost invisible;
  • Long lasting effect. If provide proper care, then the result of the curl will please at least six months. Further, as the curls grow, it will be possible to repeat the procedure;
  • After such a perm, you can paint the roots and length. After chemistry, no effect on the strands is recommended at all, especially in the root zone. But what then should girls do who regularly tint their growing roots? The biological composition of waving products solved this problem.

Despite all the advantages, the procedure also has some disadvantages.

Disadvantages of biowave:

  • Despite the naturalness, nevertheless, harm is done. The procedure is far from suitable for everyone, some girls note that even with proper care, they begin to have a massive section of the tips and hair fall out;
  • The only way to completely get rid of the effect of biowave is to cut your hair. The measures are radical but effective. It is impossible to completely straighten damaged hair even a year after curling. If you are tired of growing tangles - just cut them off;
  • This technology spoils the hair structure. They can become porous or start to fluff a lot;
  • The procedure is not recommended during pregnancy due to the possibility of harm to the fetus;
  • A few weeks after curling, an unpleasant smell will come from the head (wet wool, socks - as it seems to anyone). It is practically impossible to remove it. Neither professional shampoos nor rosemary decoctions help. It should just take some time to completely wash out the cysteamine from the curls;
  • The strands will require special restoration. Without it, after a month of regular drying with a hair dryer, they will become like a lump of stray hairs;
  • The procedure has contraindications. Biological perm is not carried out with breastfeeding, the presence of inflammatory processes in the body, any diseases of the scalp, open wounds or scratches at the treatment sites.

Types of biowave

Beauty salons use various means for biowave. According to their active composition, the procedure is classified.

  1. silk waving. The composition of the products includes silk proteins that restore shine and elasticity. The procedure is characterized by a soft effect, therefore it is recommended for girls with dyed or bleached strands. It is also used to correct perm;
  2. Japanese biowave includes not only essential amino acids, but also protein shakes. Most often it is a mixture of collagen with artificial ingredients. It is used if the strands are thick and long, because it is known for its "stiffness". The effect lasts for at least 5 months, after which a correction is required;
  3. Italian biowave Mossa (Mossa), like acid, allows you to get beautiful elastic curls of strong fixation. It is mainly used on short hair, but this technique is also suitable for bob and cascade haircuts. As a result, it turns out small curls, similar to African curls.

Curling is also classified according to the length for which it is performed.

Light large curls or luxurious Hollywood curls can add chic to any look. This hairstyle design is ideal for short hair with a bob haircut and owners of a mane to the waist. The main difference between this technique and others is the use of Japanese-made medium fixation protein mixtures.

How is a biowave on large curls:

The resulting wavy strands for the first three days cannot be washed, braided and pulled with elastic bands. This is necessary in order for the fixative mixture to complete its action.

Biowave for short hair

If you do not want to become the owner of large curls, then you can make small curls on short hair. They stay on the head much longer and help make “liquid” hair more voluminous. For this, special papillots and means of strong fixation, mainly made in Italy, are used.

Biowave for long and medium hair

As many reviews say, straight long hair biowave is the most difficult and time-consuming of all the procedures listed. Due to the severity of their root zone is too close to the scalp, which affects the volume of the hairstyle. Even if you use strong fixation means, the curls will quickly fall down.

To prevent this from happening, experts recommend working with Japanese compositions on long strands. They gently affect the hair, curling it into the desired shape, but without overloading it with synthetic substances. In the future, with natural smoothing, the transition between the curled part and the regrown part becomes less obvious.

The whole technology is similar to curling into large and small curls on short and medium hair.

But there are some secrets that only masters use professional beauty salons:

  • Bleached and colored hair lends itself better to curling, but they need a soft touch. For optimal effect, use a protein mixture or products with algae additives;
  • The procedure is not carried out on extended curls, because the reaction of the resin or the glue used under the influence of the activator is unpredictable. The adhesive may fall off or, conversely, become indelible;
  • For long strands, it is best to use curlers with a diameter of 1.5 or more. So the curls will turn out as natural as possible.

How to make a biowave at home

It is no secret that this procedure is expensive. For shoulder-length hair, you will have to pay a minimum of $50. But if you buy a curling kit and conduct a session yourself, then the investment will be minimal.

Step-by-step instructions on how to make a biowave at home with your own hands:

Required Funds

For work, you will need kits for biowave hair, shampoo, balm or masks to restore the lock, as well as oil for the tips. In order for the result to please you for a long time, and also for the hair to be minimally dry, it is important to choose the right curling agent. Consider a list of the most popular:

Bio Permanent Niagara by Estel (Niagara Estel)- half synthetic composition with many advantages. It suits difficult to curl hair, naughty strands, the owner of thick hair. It belongs to strong fixation products, but it can be used both on short and on long curls. The active ingredient is cysteamine and vitamin B5.

Biowave is an effective medium-degree fixation product. The fixer here is also loaded with cysteamine, but enriched with seaweed and mineral compounds. Good for curling colored strands.

- the composition does not enjoy the special love of consumers. Despite the name, the product contains aggressive compounds that are very harmful to the hair (ammonia derivatives).

Helpful Hints:

  • It will not be possible to quickly restore hair, so the regeneration process is carried out gradually. The first week you can not do any deep-acting masks, but on the second you can already add a small amount of silicone mixtures when washing curls;
  • Try to wash your hair only in the bathroom - when washing vertically, the curls stretch out and it will be more difficult for them to return to shape during drying;
  • Of course, the most difficult thing is to comb the curls. To make this process easier, use a wide-toothed comb and balm. You can also wash the spins with colorless henna once a week;
  • Use special products for damaged or colored hair. There are a lot of these in the lines of Schwarzkopf, Garnier and others;
  • Don't let curls dry on their own. When drying with a diffuser, sort of lift the curls - then they will be elastic and voluminous, like springs.

After the passage of 6 months, lamination or a professional keratin mask will help to finally restore the curls. These measures will finally align the strands. For correction, you can curl at home on curlers, repeat the procedure or do carving.

Photos before and after

Owners of curly hair are very comfortable in everyday life: you do not need to spend a lot of time styling or be afraid of humid air. In addition, curly curls look more feminine than perfectly straight ones. To make sure - just look at the photo before and after biowave.
