In order to increase the motor activity of students within the framework of extracurricular activities Our school annually hosts the Small Olympic Games for students in grades 5-11. Combined teams of classes compete during the academic year in various sports(athletic relay, basketball, football, pioneer ball, volleyball, cross). As a rule, these competitions involve children who are actively involved in sports and have good results by specific type. But our task is to involve as many children as possible in regular physical education. In addition, any competition implies winners and losers, and this moment negatively affects the relations of students in parallel classes. To solve all these issues in our school, we hold sports holidays with elements of the game on a specific topic. Teams are formed in parallel. In our school there are classes with the letter "A", "B", "C". For example, the composition of the first team includes students of 5 “A” class, 6 “A” class, 7 “A” class, the composition of the second team, respectively - 5 “B” class, 6 “B” class, 7 “B” class and etc. The team can be stable (athletes participate in all relay races, the composition of the team does not change from beginning to end) or “floating” (in each type of game new composition commands, pre-approved). Such formation of teams better contributes to the development of a sense of mutual assistance, camaraderie, interest in high-quality preparation for various types of sports activities.

Preparation for such holidays includes the following points:

Team building,

Training sessions for cheerleading performances of different teams,

Preparation of inventory and equipment (selection of musical accompaniment, sports equipment, task cards),

Formation of a group of judges at the finish line from among high school students (explanation and correct display of the tasks being carried out),

Design of the gym (writing posters on the theme of the holiday).

We should not forget about those children who, for health reasons, cannot take part in sports competitions. For them, we hold fan competitions, which also affect the outcome of the competition.

Below is the scenario of the sports festival “Merry competitions of the Olympians”. For this event, the following equipment was used (3 teams participated): 3 skittles, 3 hoops, 3 small basketballs, 3 “cores” from a newspaper crumpled into a tight ball, 3 wooden stumps 15-20 cm high, 3 large basketballs, 3 hockey sticks, 3 stuffed balls weighing 1 kg, 3 soccer balls, 6 oval napkins made of dense material, 3 dense bags, sports lotto cards.

Sportloto cards of different colors. 3 teams took part in our holiday and the color of the uniform was blue, red, white. The cards were also made on paper of these colors. Each card contains 5 questions about the Olympic Movement (on the theme of the holiday). If all questions are answered correctly, the team of the same color as the card receives an additional point. Any fan can choose a card according to the color of the team he supports and bring her an extra point. At another holiday, we made the “cost” of such cards for fans different - 1 point, 3 points, 5 points - the questions on these cards were accordingly complicated. If a fan chooses a card “worth” 5 points, he knows that there are the most difficult questions. Our children also like this system because the student has the right to decide for himself which team to help him. During the refereeing, we have repeatedly observed such a situation. One team is behind with a lot of points, and to help it, the classmates of the leading team specially choose the color cards of the lagging team and diligently answer questions to add points to them and close the gap. To speed up the calculation of the correct results, the questions in the card are given in the form of tests with 3 or 4 answer options. The student puts his answer in the table.

There are many card options. For this holiday, 3 variants of cards were prepared according to the number of sports lottery rounds recorded in the script. It is also necessary to prepare a place and pens for the fans to fill out the cards and to allocate a judge who watched that the cards be filled in individually, and not after a collective discussion.

Competition number 1. "Relay run". In the hands of the first participant of the pin is a relay baton. He starts moving to the finish line, leaves the pin, returns and passes the baton by touching his hand to the next participant. The next participant must pick up the skittle and bring it to the starting point, etc. The distance to the finish line for 5th graders is 6m, 6th graders – 10m, 8th graders – 15m. The team that finishes the transfer of pins first wins.

What is the most important thing in race walking? That's right, the athlete's legs should not leave the ground for a single second, it is necessary to step on the ground with the whole foot. Our race walking competitions will be held with more complex rules.

Competition number 2. "Walking" Movement is carried out in the following way - the heel of one leg is attached close to the toe of the other leg. At the same time, the girls rotate the hoop, and the boys pass a small basketball around their waist from one hand to the other. Thus, it is necessary to overcome the distance for 5th graders - 3m, 6th graders - 4m, 8th graders - 5m.

A very spectacular sport is jumping. There are a lot of varieties: in length, in height, with a pole. Everything seems to be very simple: he ran up, pushed off, flew over and landed. The main thing is that there is no “spade”. In our competitions, there will be no run-up and it is absolutely impossible to step in.

Competition number 3. Long jump. The first participant stands on the start line and performs a jump from a place. The second participant jumps from the landing site of the first, etc. The length of the hall does not allow for the jumps of all 12 participants, so the relay race is held only for boys.

In the program for athletics there is a “heavy” sport – shot put. If everyone can probably run and jump, then not everyone can lift and push a heavy core. In this form, we offer our fragile girls to compete.

Competition number 4. Shot put. The core is taken in one hand and pressed tightly against the cheek, the pusher is grouped, and then straightens sharply so that all efforts are directed to the core that needs to be pushed out. (Display and explanation are held with a real core). Only girls participate. They are given “cores” - one for each team. The “core” is made from a newspaper crumpled into a tight ball. The first participant performs the exercise, the judges mark the place where the “ball” fell and the next participant pushes the “ball” from this place, etc.

And now we are holding the first round of the sportloto lottery. 10 fans are invited. Everyone chooses a team color card to whom they would like to vote. The card contains 5 questions related to the Olympic Movement. One point is given to the team if all questions are answered correctly. Your attention is invited to the performance of the master of sports in gymnastics, student of 11 "A" class Baryshnikova Darya. 3 minutes are allotted for answers, after which the cards are handed over to the jury.

The jury summed up the preliminary results and we can see on our scoreboard which team is leading at this moment.

Rhythmic gymnastics - with objects (hoops, ribbons, balls, maces) and sports - on gymnastic equipment (horse, bars, crossbar, beam). Now we will try to compete on the beam. Gymnasts perform exercises of unheard of complexity and accuracy on the balance beam, let's see if our olympionists can conquer this projectile.

Competition number 5. Beam exercises. In front of each team there are 3 wooden stumps 20 cm high. With their help, the first participant gets to the 3m mark, leaves them there, runs back, passes the baton by touching his hand. The movement is carried out as follows - the participant stands on 2 stumps, the third in his hands and rearranging the stumps, stepping on them, moves forward. Do not touch the floor with your feet. The next participant runs to the finish line and returns in the specified way. The distance for all participants is different: for 5th graders - 3m, 6th graders - 4m, 8th graders - 5m. The team that finishes the exercise first wins. Judges clearly record the number of errors (foot touching the floor).

Of course, how to ignore sports games. Handball, favorite football, volleyball, basketball by all the boys. And this is not a complete list of all sports games. We offer you to compete in different games.

Competition number 6. Building teams in the following order: 2 fifth graders, 2 fifth graders, 2 sixth graders, 2 sixth graders, 2 eighth graders, 2 eighth graders. The first participant, a fifth grader, has a large basketball in her hands, she dribbles the ball to the hoop (distance 5m), circles it and comes back, passes the ball to the next athlete. A fifth grader has a hockey stick in his hands, he dribbles a stuffed ball weighing 1 kg to the hoop, circles it and returns to pass the baton to the next player.

The sixth-graders have two balls in their hands - a large and a small basketball. The first one dribbles a big ball, a small ball in her hands, circles the hoop (distance 8 m) and comes back, passes the baton to the next participant. A sixth-grader dribbles a stuffed ball weighing 1 kg between the pins with a stick and returns back in the same way with a “snake” dribble.

Eighth-graders also have 2 balls in their hands, only they dribble with a small basketball, they hold a large one in their hands and dribble with a “snake” between the pins to the hoop (distance 10m) and back. Eighth graders dribble a soccer ball “snake” at a distance of 10 m with a hockey stick. You can change the formation of players (first only girls, then boys or girl, boy, girl, boy, etc., or fifth grader, fifth grader, sixth grader, sixth grader, eighth grader, eighth grader, and again in the same sequence). There are many options.

We are holding the second round of the sportloto lottery, we are inviting 10 more fans who have not previously participated in the lottery. We remind you that anyone can take the color card of the team he supports and in case of correct 5 answers, this team will have an additional point.

Competition number 9. Figure skating. Participants stand in pairs - a boy and a girl from the 5th grade, from the 6th grade and the 8th grade. Only 6 pairs per team. The couple stands at the start with their left leg raised. On a signal, he starts jumping on his right foot to a certain point, where he changes legs and jumps back on his left foot. For different ages, the marks are at different distances (3m, 5m, 8m).

Partners should not let go of their hands, perform movements on two legs.
