How to learn to write beautiful handwriting. How to develop beautiful handwriting

Instruction

For classes, you need to prepare tools: two notebooks in an oblique line, like first-graders, two ordinary notebooks, a fountain pen that will comfortably “lie” in your hand and will not cause discomfort during classes. The paste (ink) should come out from under the ball of the rod easily, but not "smear" the paper. Psychological comfort in such classes is one of the main keys to success. Experts recommend turning on your favorite slow music during lessons, spraying pleasant, not harsh aromatic products in the room. It is important to understand what should be enjoyable, not annoying. Only this approach will provide excellent results in a short time.

At the second stage, it is necessary to analyze what kind of problems there are with handwriting. Rewrite a small text, about half a notebook page. Look carefully at each letter and combination of letters, highlight those that look especially clumsy and sloppy, which will be difficult for another person to understand. Problematic “moments” need to be written out in another notebook - each on a separate page. You need to transfer them not the way you usually write, but the way they should be written, in accordance with the rules of calligraphy. In any library you can find calligraphy textbooks, but if you are too lazy to visit them, you can find manuals on the net and them. Most of the books of this type are provided to users.

Your first calligraphy class doesn't have to be long. It is enough to write in a prepared notebook a few characters on each page. For some, it is easier to master first one letter or a combination of letters, and then proceed to the next page in a self-prepared copybook. You need to start classes in a notebook "in an oblique" line. Such a line disciplines, teaches you to maintain the necessary slope of the letters and make them the same in size. You can proceed to the next stage only when you are sure to draw clear and understandable signs that comply with the rules of calligraphy. As an experiment, you can rewrite small texts or sentences in a notebook with a regular line or on a sheet without marking. But you should not rush, it is better to be patient, then the result will be as expected and desired.

Special gymnastics for hands and fingers is very important during the period of handwriting correction classes. Its main task is to make the fingers plastic, sensitive and strong. Calligraphers recommend the following exercises:
circular rotations with brushes,
wrist flexion,
rhythmic clenching and unclenching of the fist,
circular finger movements
"lock",
fan-shaped movements.
Needlework is useful, picking up pictures from puzzles and designers from small parts. It is better to choose those models of puzzles and puzzles that consist of a large number of parts. For classes with them, you can take a separate corner in the house, and not abandon the case until it is over. It disciplines and develops perseverance, helps to get rid of stress.

Learn to evaluate your work, give yourself "marks", as in school, but do it objectively, without self-pity and narcissism. Be as strict as possible - if at least one letter in the work turned out to be clumsy or out of order, reduce the rating by one point. And if it doesn’t work out, ask someone close to look at the written text, point out errors in terms of calligraphy. It will be just fine if a person who can write beautifully himself, but will not be afraid to offend you with an objective assessment, will help you. You don’t need to scold yourself, it is important to find an incentive, learn to perceive criticism as a guide to action, a springboard for reaching new heights. Analysis of errors should be recorded - unsuccessful letters should be transferred to the beginning of a new page in a notebook.

After you have started to get beautiful letters and combinations of letters, you can move on to longer sentences and texts. At the initial stage, they need to be written in a notebook “in an oblique line”. This will save the results when moving to a new level of classes. You need to rewrite small texts or individual sentences, phrases. It is helpful to start taking into account the time spent writing a certain number of lines or words. It's better to account for strings, since words have different volumes. Another option to speed up writing is to set a timer. You can also use your favorite music composition as a time counter. But haste should not affect the quality, and if the handwriting is distorted, then it is too early to hurry. It is necessary to continue to evaluate your work, to do it without concessions and discounts on speed and time.

It is important not only to achieve good results, but also to maintain them. Even if you have learned to write beautifully, this should not be a reason to refuse regular calligraphy and hand gymnastics. Not enough time? Set aside half an hour for this during work, but do not borrow time allotted for rest, lunch - this will be annoying. If your profession involves writing with a pen, perform tasks in such a way that you do not cause damage, do not reduce your efforts to zero. Fill out the work papers slowly, paying attention to each letter and word. This will be another incentive to success, but the most important thing is not to break into your usual clumsy handwriting. When starting calligraphy, set yourself up for positive, understand that this is not for one day, that there is a long way ahead, which will definitely give a good result.

It's nice to receive a simple, handwritten letter from a friend in the mail. It is even more pleasant if all the words can be read accurately and everything written can be understood with accuracy. The most beautiful handwriting in the world belongs to a little girl from Nepal. Her addressees will certainly understand everything that she would like to write about.

The most beautiful handwriting

A photograph of the handwriting of an eighth-grader from the Nepalese school Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya has spread across the Internet like a virus. All users unanimously call her handwriting the most beautiful in the world.

The owner of such a beautiful style of handwriting is called Milla Prakriti. She is in 8th grade. On her page on the social network, the student says that the ability to write beautifully even in the modern world is necessary. It helps improve communication between students and teachers. So it is much easier to parse all the sentences in the notebook and it will be easier for teachers to check assignments.

The girl shares with her subscribers the results of the study. It showed that in 1992 schools paid much more attention to calligraphic writing of words than they do now. Therefore, most children do not bother to write beautifully.

The girl received the title of the most beautiful handwriting only thanks to the opinion of Internet users. They believe that such beautiful letters should be the basis of the new font at Microsoft.

The ideality of Milla's handwriting was appreciated by the government of Nepal. The girl received a state award as the owner of the most beautiful writing style.

Who has the most beautiful handwriting?

Despite the great popularity of the young Nepalese, there are also people in Russia who write very legibly and beautifully. This is what their profession requires them to do. This category includes employees of archives and libraries, teachers at school and narrow specialists - calligraphers.

I would like to include employees of medical institutions in the list. But we all know about their illegible scribbles, which even pharmacists (with great experience in these matters) do not always understand. It is believed that people with poor shorthand think very quickly and their hand simply does not have time to transfer all thoughts to paper properly.

People of the old school and those who graduated from school during the Soviet era, for the most part, also have an exquisite and very understandable style of writing. Then the ability to write calligraphically was highly valued, because every day you had to hold a pen in your hands. In the modern world, in the era of smartphones and laptops, only a few write legibly and gracefully.

Psychologists say that such people are peaceful, calm and balanced. They are never in a hurry to put their thoughts on paper. At the same time, experts believe that every person can consciously develop a beautiful handwriting, as soon as he wants it.

Calligraphy

The art of fine writing is called calligraphy. Today in the world there are only 15 areas of this science. The most striking of them are Chinese calligraphy and Persian script.

The school closest to us is Cyrillic calligraphy. It is her principles that are taught in our schools to elementary school students. We have all seen examples of writing letters in this direction - they are often published on the back of notebooks for writing and are the basis of copybooks for kids.

An adult may also want to improve their writing skills over time. The easiest option would be to buy a copybook and practice.

Secrets of developing beautiful handwriting

Learning to write beautifully is better from school. It is then that the child has to rewrite a large number of words every day, preparing for lessons and doing classwork. Calligraphic handwriting, like the ability to ride a bicycle, remains a pleasant baggage when growing up.

To improve your handwriting style, you need to:

  1. Before the exercises, it is recommended to do a little exercise for the hand, because she is not used to writing a lot. It is necessary to clench and unclench the fist, make circular movements with the brush, bend and unbend the fingers.
  2. Exercise daily for at least 20-30 minutes.
  3. Buy a quality pen and thick paper to write comfortably.
  4. Select the part of the text to be rewritten. So over time, you can compare whether there are results from efforts.

These simple rules will help improve handwriting. But you need to be prepared for the fact that at first the hand will be very tired.

Basic exercises

Working with paper and pen should start from the simplest exercises:

  • You need to start the practice by writing circles, spirals, zigzags. It is also recommended to write a repeated lowercase "Sh", the letters "G" and "A".
  • In the beginning, you should listen to the sensations in your hand, write characters slowly and carefully.
  • When the skill has already developed to automatism, you can start writing quickly and reduce the size of the letters.

These basic exercises will help in the beginning of the development of calligraphic handwriting. In the early days, you can rewrite the Cyrillic calligraphy alphabet. Next, you should complicate your task - rewrite large blocks of text, focusing on the correct spelling of letters:

  • The characters must be written on the same level and not differ in size.
  • Indents between words should be the same.
  • You need to pay attention to punctuation marks - they should be clearly visible, located on the same level.

At first, it will be difficult to write on a blank sheet of paper. Therefore, you need to purchase a notebook with an oblique ruler. Next, you should switch to unlined paper.

After the hand gets used to the load, and you notice a significant difference between the handwriting "before" and "after", do not forget that the main key to success is practice. To have beautiful handwriting, you need to constantly maintain the skill.

If you're used to taking notes on your tablet and sending emails via email, then it's best to give it up for a while. Then you might even become a new Internet star with the most beautiful handwriting in the world and leave a little Nepalese schoolgirl far behind.

Is your child getting reduced grades for bad handwriting? You study with him every evening, and he still writes, “like a chicken paw”? This problem is easy to solve, and we will help you with this! After all, now he is underestimated for bad handwriting, and then they can even lower his self-esteem!

Children do not have enough teacher attention at the beginning of learning to write, and parents are forced to join this process, who claim that teaching a child to write beautifully and quickly is an impossible task. But the most important thing is that handwriting problems can make the smartest child a loser at school. Teachers explain that in elementary school they are required to take handwriting grades down as part of the assessment criteria developed by the Ministry of Education.

What to do if the child's handwriting is not readable?

Alas. Ugly handwriting is indeed the reason for the failure of many children. First, in elementary school, grades are reduced because handwriting is ugly. Then the child loses motivation to learn, because the handwriting cannot be changed. In addition, a child who writes ugly often writes more slowly than other children, because his hand gets tired faster. As a result, he does not have time to write everything on the tests and gets low marks. And in high school, she does not have time to write notes, because of illegible handwriting she receives low marks, since the teacher cannot always decipher what she has written. As a result, even the smartest child can turn into a loser due to handwriting.

Teaching writing at school and, accordingly, at home, since parents do everything on the recommendation of a teacher, is the most tedious and difficult task for any student. It is not always possible for a teacher to quickly find an individual approach to all students, and therefore only a few can write beautifully - 5 people per class. These children tend to draw beautifully. But for the majority, this science is given with great difficulty and it is not a fact that they will be taught to write beautifully at school, although this can be done if you know the writing technique with secrets. And also to understand by the mistakes that your child makes, what exactly prevents him from writing beautifully.

I invite everyone to join the experiment right now. Take your child's notebook and see what calligraphy mistakes they make.

What exactly should you pay attention to:

  1. Pay attention to how your child writes the letters: "n", "i", "k", "p". If they are so similar that they cannot be distinguished, this is an indicative error.
  2. The problem of writing style: if the letters "dance" above and below the line; letters are different in height, width and slope, i.e. non-compliance with calligraphy standards.
  3. Inaccuracy, dirt in the margins, the child enters the margins or another page when writing, and adds unnecessary elements to letters like “sh” or “m”, i.e. non-compliance with the rules of registration of works.

What exactly prevents your child from writing beautifully and quickly? How can these reasons be eliminated?

Often the reasons for the ugly handwriting of children are the same. Once you get rid of them, the child will write much better, but this needs to be worked on. This article details the causes of bad calligraphy and suggests ways to fix the problem.

Reason #1. Incorrect position of the body, hands, posture, position of the legs; wrong handles.

Pay attention to the mistakes in the notebook that your child makes. If the letters have the wrong slope, the elements of the letter are not parallel, the letters or words are written with a different slope, the slope is in different directions - usually they say about such handwriting, like a chicken paw. Such handwriting is formed in children when they sit incorrectly and incorrectly position a notebook or hold a pen incorrectly, at an unnatural angle.

The correct posture, the position of the pen allow you to form the correct writing technique, which means making writing comfortable, clear and fast. All these rules are not difficult, but it is possible to master the correct fit, the way you hold a pen and the technique of writing, if you know a few secrets, and also if parents systematically follow all my recommendations.

So, the correct posture for writing: you need to sit straight - the torso, head, shoulders are fixed in an even position, lean back on the back of the chair, keep your legs straight, feet on the floor or stand. You can not lean on the table with your chest, we lean on the edge of the table with handles, while the elbows protrude beyond the edge of the table.

Often children sit in the way that is convenient, and not as they should, or as Vasya's neighbor sits, and not as mom and dad used to tell at home. He simply forgets what he was told. So how do you teach him to sit properly?

It is worth spending time and intelligibly explaining to the child that his body will quickly get used to the correct position at the desk, and after 3 weeks it will become familiar. I offer parents a little trick.

Sit up straight, feet together

Let's take a notebook under the slope.

Left hand in place (leaning on the edge of the table),

Right hand in place (leaning on the edge of the table):

You can start writing!

And then the rules of how to sit turn into a little game. This rhyme will help the child remember the correct position when writing, and he, remembering it at school, will sit correctly.

What to do if the part is wrong? Too high or uncomfortable?

There can be no wrong desk at school, since there is a single standard for elementary school: the desk must fit the height of the child - the table top should be at a level just below the solar plexus, the table top is slightly tilted, the design is stable and durable. Since the children are of different heights (someone has a high desk, someone has a low desk), the teacher chooses a desk for the child that matches their height. If parents have doubts about the quality of the desk, they always have the opportunity to come to the lesson to check and transfer the child to a desk that is suitable for height.

Reason number 2. Incorrect position of the notebook and the position of the pen.

The second problem arises from the incorrect position of the notebook on the desk. This often affects the legibility of the handwriting. Much has to do with how and at what angle the child holds

The notebook should lie with a slope of 10 - 15 °, which allows not only to sit correctly, but more easily and freely move the hand along the line from the beginning to the end. As the sheet is filled, the notebook moves up. At first, the left hand supports the notebook from below, and when the page is filled from below, from above.

The scheme is the same for right-handed and left-handed children, if the child is "left-handed" - the notebook must be mirrored; if the right-hander has a notebook tilted to the right, then the left-hander has it tilted to the left.

Choose polyethylene covers- which must be on the notebook. This is not only to preserve the appearance, but also to ensure that the notebook does not slip on the desk when writing. Do you remember the old Soviet covers? They tend to stick to the countertop. So don't go after the newfangled notebook hardcovers - they slip. Choose classic transparent polyethylene ones - they will also help your child to master this difficult science - calligraphy.

The pen should rest on the left side of the middle finger. The index finger on top holds the handle, the thumb supports the handle on the left side. All three fingers are slightly rounded and do not grip the handle too much. The index finger can easily rise, but the handle should not fall. The ring and little fingers can be inside the palm or lie freely at the base of the thumb. The handle should be held loosely, without clamping it too tightly and without bending the index finger. The distance from the tip of the rod to the index finger should be about 2 cm.

What exactly should be a pen for a student?

First of all, you need to choose the right pen. It is because of the wrong handle that the child will hold it incorrectly. It is worth paying attention to quality: its shape, length, thickness, hardness of the rod, these are all important conditions for the success and ease of developing a graphic skill.

The optimal handle length is 15 cm, very short and very long handles do not suit us. Various gift and promotional pens are not suitable for writing by children, especially flat tetrahedral pens with a diameter of more than 7 mm. The rod is too hard, the thickness is “not for the hand”. Ribbed pens with edges are not just uncomfortable, but require additional effort to hold the pen, make it difficult to develop writing skills, the paste in the rod must be non-marking and write with light contact with paper.

The pen should write softly so that the child does not have to press hard on it. But at the same time, she should not write too thickly - such a pen will get dirty in a notebook. Therefore, choose a pen with your child so that he can test it for himself, paint, feel whether it is comfortable.

And if the child is already used to holding it incorrectly?

There is one secret: buy a pen and ink for your child.

Yes, yes, do not be surprised, this is for home workouts. Writing with a pen is quite difficult, especially for a child. But if you approach it playfully, your child will be delighted. The game is called "Feel like Harry Potter" - if you remember, in this fairy tale, the students of the magic school wrote, just with feathers.

The advantage of a pen is that a fountain pen only writes at a certain inclination and pressure, otherwise the pen will either not write at all or will leave blots. Therefore, writing or even drawing with a fountain pen allows you to work out the correct position of the child's hand when writing. Many studies have been conducted, and all of them have shown that beautiful handwriting can be developed with the help of a fountain pen.

Reason number 3. The problem of "trembling" letters, fine motor skills are poorly developed.

Watch how your child writes. If you see distortion of rounded elements, ugly writing of letters with curved lines. The line, as it were, consists of countless small zigzags - a broken line. Violation of the proportions of letters - letters of different sizes, "crawl out" of the line or, on the contrary, are too small. This type of error is associated with motor skills. Reason number 3 Poorly developed fine motor skills.

Fine motor skills are the mobility of the hands, fingers.

The development of fine motor skills is an important indicator of a child's readiness for schooling. All children experience certain difficulties in writing precisely because fine motor skills are not sufficiently developed. We need to work on this. It's quite normal. In order to improve the coordination of hand movements in the process of learning, to relieve muscle fatigue, it is necessary to do exercises for the hands, fingers, and this will help to form a beautiful handwriting.

Usually at school, before a writing lesson, teachers do finger gymnastics with students, which is provided for by the teaching methodology for elementary grades. At first, these exercises are performed by students with great difficulty, many of them do not work out at all. But systematic training gives, in the end, good results. Therefore, if there are such mistakes in your child’s notebook that we are talking about now, do more games with your child to develop motor skills.

"Finger twister" is a great game for developing fine motor skills.

RULES OF THE GAME:

Put the field on the table. Get your hands ready to play. One hand will “dance” (exactly the one with which the child writes, for a right-hander it is right, for a left-hander it is left) - to perform different movements on the field, the second will throw dice. They take turns. The first player rolls two dice at once and names the color and finger (shown as white on the black hand). If the whole white palm falls out on the die, then you need to “dance” on the field with a finger that is convenient for you. Next player Your child completes his task, "dances" according to the rolled dice.

Further, the players, according to their order, without tearing off the fingers already placed on the field, perform the task, occupying the free circle of the desired color with the right finger. Everyone “dances” on the field at the same time. If a player fails to complete his task, he is out of the game. The one who remains on the dance floor wins.

Good for motor skills are such exercises as: fastening and unbuttoning buttons, buttons, hooks, tying and untying ribbons, laces, knots on a rope, stringing beads and buttons, weaving braids from threads, sorting cereals (for example, peas, buckwheat and rice), modeling from plasticine letters, as well as shadow theater.

In addition to the fact that the shadow theater allows you to develop accurate, differentiated and coordinated movements of the fingers and hands, it arouses and maintains the child's interest in doing exercises to develop motor skills, allows him to concentrate for a longer time, be assiduous and active.

What is needed for such a game of shadow theater?

Just a table lamp and fantasy. Place a table lamp so that the light from it falls on the wall. Position yourself at a distance of 3-4 meters from the wall. This is necessary in order to get the shadows of the desired size. To make it interesting for the child to do the exercises, come up with some kind of game plot, for example, a butterfly flutters from flower to flower, a dog barks at a butterfly, etc.

"Butterfly"

"Butterfly" - a flap of wings with light but sharp movements in the wrists, with straight fingers - this is flight. When it is finished, the butterfly sits down and folds its wings. It is possible to improvise on the theme “the birth of a butterfly from a cocoon” - the formed “cocoon” from two palms turns into a “butterfly”.

"Swan or Goose"

"Dog"

You won't believe it, but the latest research conducted by experts has shown that at the beginning of their studies, first-graders in a writing lesson experience physical and mental stress of the same level as astronauts at the time of launch! Just imagine how hard it is for your little one to master this difficult science - calligraphy!

The following type of mistakes that children make when writing: do not observe the spacing between letters in words, unevenly arrange words on a line. Writes letters too broadly or too narrowly. The letters “dance” over the line, the student does not respect the boundaries of the notebook field. It also happens that when writing, a child confuses optically similar letters, for example, x-zh, b-d, p-t, there may also be a mirror spelling of letters. If you see such chaos in your child’s notebook, it means that the reason for his bad handwriting is…

Reason number 4. Insufficient level of development of spatial perception.

Usually this problem is not too serious and passes quickly. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't pay attention to it. Very often, parents make a mistake - they see that the child is confusing letters or that they are "hanging in the air", and force him to rewrite the same thing a hundred times! The fact is that the poor handwriting of such a child is only a side effect of an insufficient level of development of spatial perception. And rewriting a hundred times will not help here.

I suggest you snuggle. Do you know how children love to distort adults? Usually they are forbidden to do this, but it will only benefit us. The game is called "Crooked Mirror" - what I do with my left hand, you repeat with your right hand.

or game "Crazy Photographer". To do this, you will need a camera and all your child's favorite toys. The child plants his toys in a row for a photo, and you play the role of a capricious photographer and constantly change the location of the little animals. Transfer the bear to the left side of the fox, the bunny to the right side of the elephant, and so on. This is a lot of fun, it turns out that you seem to be playing, but at the same time developing spatial perception with the child.

As a teacher, they help me a lot in training spatial perception and orientation. graphic dictations: when, according to a given algorithm, children draw lines along the cells, as a result, if everything is done correctly, a funny drawing is obtained.

There is another interesting game "Find the Treasure". The game action here is also very mobile and active - the search for a hidden toy (thing). The teacher or parent gives instructions during the action: "Go to the table ... Turn right ... Go to the window ... Turn left ...", etc. Each instruction is given when the previous one has already been completed, and the name of the subject should follow after the child has already changed the direction of movement, otherwise the children are guided only by the object, and not by the indicated direction.

But, of course, regularity is important in this matter.

Another very important tip. Writing is a difficult science for all children. If you want this science to be easy for him, do not overload the child. Plan your sessions so that the letter itself takes no more than 15 minutes. Then a break of 10 - 15 minutes. During this break, you can play the games that have been registered here. If a child needs to write a lot, then break this text into such stages, the child’s hand will not get tired and classes will not cause irritation.

Also, do not force the child to write in a draft. Use calque. We put the tracing paper on top of the page on which the child is working. A printed sample in a notebook, for example, a letter, is viewed through tracing paper. The child circles the sample on the tracing paper, writes the necessary letter on the tracing paper two more times, and then remove the tracing paper and write this letter on the clean copy. And so we continue to the end of the line. Thus, the hand gets used to writing beautiful correct letters, and the child is not so tired.

And I also use in my work "Zebra"- a lined sheet of paper (with oblique lines spaced from each other at the same interval), which the children put under. notebook page and letters are drawn along the zebra lines, this will help them keep the same size of letters and the same slope, which will give the work incredible accuracy and improve calligraphy.

If you want to correct your child's bad handwriting, you have the opportunity to enroll in a special calligraphy development course. Leave a request to enroll in handwriting improvement lessons on our website.

This article focuses a lot on calligraphy - the art of writing letters and words in a beautiful and skillful manner (usually with a fountain pen). However, I have never considered calligraphy in relation to everyday handwriting. In this article, I will reveal eight secrets to writing beautiful freehand notes using any pen. In addition, you can download free copybook for practicing calligraphy.

People often confuse beautiful handwriting and calligraphy. Calligraphy is based on writing stylized, elaborately decorated letters. It's more art than writing. Beautiful handwriting is based on the style and technique used on a daily basis. Handwriting should be quick and more practical than calligraphy. Everyone has their own style of writing, but there is no limit to perfection! In this article, you will find eight tips to help you improve your handwriting.

1. Use a comfortable handle

Convenient just for you! You may need to look for a pen that suits your needs. I liked the black Pilot G2 05 for line thickness and ergonomics. The pen has good sensitivity - when writing, you do not need to make strong pressure.

There are a wide variety of pens and I encourage you to shop around and try a few options before choosing yours. It doesn't matter if you prefer gel, fountain or ballpoint pens - any one that suits you personally will do.

2. Free grip

A calm, relaxed grip is the key to beautiful handwriting. This means that not a single muscle of the hand should be tense, and the nails should not turn white from excessive pressure.

Many tend to grip the pen hard, resulting in pain in the hand after a few minutes of writing. Very often this happens unconsciously, so try to check yourself from time to time if you are holding the pen correctly.

3. Start with exercise

It is difficult to write good, beautiful letters without warming up. Doing a few simple exercises will help you write letters clearly and confidently. You can use our exercises from the set of recipes.

... or you can just draw a few "springs" or similar lines.

All resources are good!

4. Choose a comfortable paper position

As children, we were taught to place paper vertically on the table. If that position is comfortable for you, great! If not, feel free to experiment with different options. Convenient paper layout helps improve handwriting!

For right-handers, vertical is considered normal, but not for me. I have always found it easier to write (especially handwritten texts) by laying a sheet of paper horizontally. I'm not joking, you can see this by watching a short video.

Everyone determines for himself the best paper layout. Try different options and choose the one that suits you best. For right-handed people, it's best to start in a vertical position and rotate the paper to the left until you find your position. Left-handers can do the same, but turning the paper to the right.

5. Exercises with writing
