If Spiderman were a photographer: photos from the roofs of skyscrapers. The roof of a skyscraper Private development on the roof of a shopping center

Look at the sky: here are the birds, here is the plane flying, and here ... Andrew Tso! Like a real Spider-Man, Andrew climbs to the roofs of skyscrapers, albeit not in one jump. But the photos he then takes are truly worthy of a comic book superhero. The Hong Kong photographer has made a name for himself shooting from the rooftops of the tallest buildings in London, Paris, Seoul, Hong Kong and Toronto… the list goes on.

The 26-year-old rooftop climber has been climbing skyscrapers and taking photos from skyscraper rooftops since childhood. Here are his words: “Being at the top, I always experience a thrill. Regardless of what people say about my fearlessness, there is always an element of uncertainty and fear. Sometimes you have to take great risks and be in an awkward position to get the right shot.” We invite you to travel on the highest roofs of the world. Carefully! People with a fear of heights can get dizzy 🙂

Roofs. The only thing worth going to Dubai for is the skyscrapers. In fact, that's why I went there. It was one of the richest trips ever. This time I did not break the post into parts, so there will be a lot of photos. ( 61 photos)

1. Getting on the roof of a skyscraper in Dubai was surprisingly easy. Almost all roofs are open and either a swimming pool or a helipad, or both, is located on them. I only stumbled on closed roofs 2 times.

2. This is the first roof I climbed on. The building is not high by local standards, only 23 floors. The building with the spire is the Chelsea Tower. Its height is 250 meters. We'll get to it a little later.

3. And here is the roof of Chelsea Tower. As I said, getting to the roof is very easy, you just need to go past the reception, take the elevator to the top floor, and then fire escape get on the roof.

4. If in order to get past the reception there were practically no problems, then there was a snag with the elevators. The fact is that almost all elevators work on cards. Simply put - without a card you can call the elevator, but you can't leave on it without attaching the card to the reader. The solution is simple - wait until one of the guests enters the elevator and attaches the card, at this moment you can click on any floor.

5. The two towers on the right are the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, a 56-storey five-star hotel. Height 309 meters. The building is the 29th tallest building in the world.

6. And this bright building is the Dubai World Trade Center. The history of high-rise construction in Dubai began with him. Its height is 149 meters. Built in 1979. When completed, this building was the tallest in the Middle East.

7. Normal such a denouement.

8. And this is a view from the roof of an ordinary residential building, getting on its roof was easy. I even came here 2 times, in the afternoon and in the evening, to film the sunset. By the way, it offers one of the best views of the city (in my opinion).

9. The two towers in the center are the Emirates Park Tower. Height 376 meters. 77 floors. In terms of height, they are in second place in Dubai after the Burj Khalifa.

10. Residential complex Etihad. I can't say anything special about him.

11. Sheikh Zayed Road (eng. Sheikh Zayed Road) - the main and longest street in Dubai, named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan. The highway runs through the entire city along the coast. In Dubai, it bears the name of Sheikh Zayed from the border with Abu Dhabi to Sheikh Rashid Road. The length of the street is 55 km. Before the expansion in 1993-1998, it was called Defense Road (Defence Highway). The red line of the Dubai Metro runs along the street for a considerable length.
The highway has 12 traffic lanes for the most part. Traffic on the highway is paid, all entrances and exits are equipped with scanners that charge cars a fee of 4 dirhams (about $ 1), but not more than 24 dirhams per day.

12. Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world that has ever existed (before that, the record belonged to the Warsaw radio tower that fell in 1991). The exact height of the structure is 829.8 m. There are 163 floors in total. The building was designed as a "city within a city" - with its own lawns, boulevards and parks. The total cost of the construction is about $1.5 billion.

13. Burj Khalifa was originally planned as the tallest building in the world. When the skyscraper was still under construction, its design height was kept secret. This was done in case a skyscraper of a higher height was designed somewhere - then adjustments could be made to the design of the Dubai tower.

Glasses do not allow dust to pass through and reflect the sun's rays, allowing you to maintain the optimum temperature in the building.

Especially for the Burj Khalifa, a special brand of concrete was developed that can withstand temperatures up to +50 ° C. Concrete mix laid only at night, and ice was added to the solution.

The building has 57 elevators. In this case, only the service elevator rises from the first floor to the last. Residents and visitors of the skyscraper will have to move between floors with transfers. Elevators installed in a skyscraper develop speeds up to 10 m/s.

16. Construction of another skyscraper.

17. I don’t know exactly what it is, but it seems to me that these are air conditioners serving buildings.

18. Helipad.

19. Musical fountain. The fountain is illuminated by 6600 light sources and 50 colored spotlights. The length of the fountain is 275 m, and the height of the jets reaches 150 meters. The fountain has musical accompaniment from contemporary Arabic and world music.

20. Another helipad.

21. In total, there are three major seaports in Dubai - Hamriya, Rashid and Jebel Ali. The most important of these is Jebel Ali, one of the best and largest ports in the entire Persian Gulf. The port, built in 1971-1979, has 67 berths and a developed road system.

22. Who knows - why this piece of land is not built up?

23. Alluvium of artificial islands. Dubai already has 3 artificial island systems.

24. This is what most of Dubai looks like.

26. There are many golf courses in Dubai.

27. There are also such roofs.

28. And this is the view from the Burj Khalifa. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to climb the spire. This was perhaps the biggest disappointment of this trip.

29. The construction of the Burj Khalifa began in 2004 and proceeded at a rate of 1-2 floors per week. Up to 12,000 workers were involved in the construction daily. It took about 320 thousand m³ of concrete and more than 60 thousand tons of steel reinforcement to create it. Concrete work was completed after the construction of the 160th floor, followed by the assembly of a 180-meter spire from metal structures.

30. Unlike New York skyscrapers, the foundation of the Burj Khalifa is not fixed in the rocky ground. In the foundation of the building, hanging piles 45 m long and 1.5 m in diameter were used. There are about 200 such piles in total.

31. The building on the left is the five-star Adress Hotel. From its roof opens best view to musical fountains. We'll be on it soon.

36. I came to the observation deck at 18 o'clock and spent 2 hours on it. I was waiting for the sunset.

39. And this is the view from the Adress hotel. I climbed to its roof 2 times. By the way, cameras are installed almost everywhere on the fire escapes, but apparently they look at them only when something happens.

41. Business district of Dubai.

44. And now we will move from the business district to the elite residential quarter of Dubai Marina. Dubai Marina is one of the most luxurious marinas in the world. At the beginning of the 21st century, the construction of skyscrapers was launched here. The marina is entirely artificial and is being developed by Emaar Properties. When completed, there will be more than 200 skyscrapers here, including several over 300 meters high. It is supposed to be the largest marina built by man. Now the largest marina in the world is Marina del Rey in California.

45. View from the roof of the elite residential building Torch. Its height is 348 meters and 87 floors. To get to the roof, I had to walk 26 floors on the fire escape.

46. In the distance you can see the Parus hotel.

47. I spent 2.5 hours on this roof. It was a hell of a 2.5 hours. It's hot, I've run out of water and food. But the desire to film the sunset was stronger.

51. Another golf course.

52. Dancing skyscraper.

59. View from the spire.

60. And lastly, a couple of photos of night views of the Burj Khalifa and musical fountains.

61. In the next post there will be photos of Dubai at night.

Admire the skyscraper: your dreams are unattainable and are unlikely to ever come true.

And all because you are making plans that are too unrealistic, which can only be realized under an incredibly successful set of circumstances.

But you yourself perfectly understand that circumstances are sometimes stronger than you.

So come down from heaven where you at recent times find yourself on the sinful earth and consider more real and fruitful plans.

To build a skyscraper: you are slowly but surely approaching your goal.

Be patient, and soon your efforts will be crowned with success.

Dream Interpretation - Roof

To cover the roof: soon you will have a quarrel with someone dear, and none of you will consider yourself guilty.

This quarrel will bring you a lot of suffering and worries.

Before starting a quarrel, think that a small squabble can turn into a waste of time and energy for negative emotions.

If you dreamed of a leaky roof, it means that some obstacles in love await you.

Maybe just one of you is not too eager to communicate with another? If you are sure that your beloved (beloved) loves as much as you do, you just need to try to do everything possible so that nothing prevents you from enjoying each other.

To see a house without a roof - you need to prepare for the fact that an event will occur in the near future that will greatly surprise and excite you.

Maybe events will develop in such a way that you suddenly have to part with a person dear to you, and both of you will not know how long the separation will last.

To see how the roof is blown away by the wind: a symbol of the fact that you are surrounded by the wrong people who should be trusted.

Perhaps in the near future you will face difficulties, and then it will become clear who you can trust and who to see someone walking on the roof or walking on it yourself: a sign that you will soon have to make a choice.

Most likely, you will be offered to participate in some very important matter, but you will not be confident in your abilities.

Tip: do not take on a case in the outcome of which you doubt.

Perhaps someone will try to convince you that it's worth the risk.

However, before making a choice, remember that in case of failure, which is likely, it will be you who will be responsible for everything.

Fall from the roof: expect major changes in life.

Maybe you will have to not see your friends for a while or stay in another city.

If you want to admire Singapore from above, go to one of the observation decks in Singapore. About the observation decks of Singapore known to me, and today I invite you to take a walk with us on the roof of a residential building - the skyscraper The Pinnacle Duxton and look at from a height of the 50th floor.

Walking on the roof in Singapore 🙂

How to get to the observation deck [email protected]

Skyscraper [email protected] is a residential building, on the roof of which is equipped viewpoint or sky bridge. Anyone can get here for a small fee.

The building itself is located just south of Singapore's Chinatown, not far from the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, so visiting these two places can be combined. The nearest station is Outram Park. The exact location of the skyscraper [email protected] on the map at the bottom of the article.

Residential building [email protected] with observation deck on the roof

To get to the observation deck (sky bridge) The [email protected] necessary:

1. Find body G in a long residential building. This building is the farthest from the Outram Park metro station. Follow the signs to the sky bridge and enter the building.

2 . Have Ez-link card(this is ).

3. On the first floor of Building G, in front of the entrance to the bodice at the guard in the window, pay the cost of visiting the observation deck - 6 SGD. Before visiting, I thought that the payment was made using the Ez-link card and calculated whether we had enough money on it. It turned out that you have to pay in cash, and after that the card is programmed so that it could open the door to the roof. By the way, there was a payment machine nearby, but during our visit it did not work.

4. Take the elevator to 50th floor, find the door to the roof, attach your card and go to the observation deck.

By the way, I want to note that the building is long, consists of several buildings connected by a "sky bridge" or a sky bridge. After we went from one end of the roof to the other, we decided to go down in building A, because. it is closest to the metro station. We didn’t manage to go to the elevator, the card is programmed so that guests can enter and exit only through body G. I had to go back, and then go along the street along the entire long building to the metro.

Working hours

Observation deck [email protected] open to guests who do not live in the residential complex from 9:00 to 21:45.

We are looking for the building of the Pinnacle Duxton skyscraper, at the sign for the sky bridge we go into the building
The cost of visiting is 6 Singapore dollars, which is approximately 4.4 USD. To enter the observation deck, you must have an Ez-link card
After we climbed to the 50th floor, we are looking for a door to freedom 🙂 i.e. on the roof 🙂
The roof is long, but non-residents of the complex can enter and exit only through building G
All this long building - [email protected], the bodies are connected by bridges
To get off the roof and get into the elevator, you need to attach the card again. You can only exit through building G

Observation deck [email protected]

I won’t write much about the observation deck, I’ll just show a photo 🙂 There is a garden on the roof on the 50th floor (it doesn’t surprise us for a long time, we’ve seen enough of gardens and pools on the roofs of buildings in 🙂), there are benches, sunbeds for relaxing. In the same building, but much lower there is another outdoor terrace for recreation, there is a playground, and exercise equipment, and even jogging tracks around the building 🙂 Only residents of the complex can get there.

This is how the roof of one of the skyscrapers in Singapore looks like: paths, green grass, trees
You can relax on the sofas
Or lie down on sun loungers overlooking the city

This observation deck in Singapore is still little known among tourists and you can walk on the roof all alone! But we were on Sunday, and this day is not best time for walking around Singapore and rooftops 🙂, because Sunday is the only day off for maids working in Singaporean families (Filipinos, etc.), and they are very fond of going to inexpensive places and having picnics in parks. So we walked on the roof with the Filipinos 🙂

Here they are - Filipinos 🙂 they love to be photographed so much that they take a photo near each pole 🙂

From this site you can’t see the bay near Marina Bay Sands and, but you can admire the skyscrapers, the port and the surrounding landscapes.

View of the Port of Singapore
Huge port
Chinatown. The brown 5-storey building is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Quite an interesting place, I advise you to visit
