The number of drafts in the army. In great shape

In Russia, the spring conscription for military service continues. Exactly a month remains before its end, and the question of the order of conscription and its terms remains quite relevant for many. Conscription in the army in 2018 - the terms of conscription, the start and end dates of the spring and autumn conscription campaigns in Russia.

Terms of conscription into the Russian army in 2018 - start and end dates

Conscription in Russia is held twice a year: in spring and autumn. In 2018, the recruitment deadlines remain the same. In general, dates look like this:

  • from April 1 to July 15 - spring call-up campaign,
  • from October 1 to December 31 - autumn campaign.

From July 16 to September 30, as well as from January 1 to March 31, military registration and enlistment offices cannot draft anyone into the army.

It should be borne in mind that the above terms of conscription are just general ones. They are relevant for most recruits, but in some cases the law makes exceptions. For certain categories of recruits, the scope of both draft campaigns may be smaller than for others.

Such exceptions are listed in section 25 of the conscription law:

  • From May 1 to July 15 and from November 1 to December 31, young people are called up in the Far North and areas equivalent to it. That is, both spring and autumn conscription in such regions begins a month later than in other parts of the country, and ends with everyone else.
  • From October 15 to December 31, autumn conscription takes place in the countryside, if recruits are busy harvesting. In this case, the non-standard call-up dates affect only the autumn call-up, which begins two weeks later than in the general case.
  • From May 1 to July 15, young teachers are called up - there is no autumn call for teachers who are obliged to serve, and the spring one begins for them a month later than for others.

These are all the exceptions that are listed in the law. All other categories of conscripts are required to appear at the military registration and enlistment office to undergo the events laid down as part of the call on the main dates.

What is the draft age in Russia in 2018

Despite all the proposals to increase the draft age in Russia, there are no changes in the law in 2018. Citizens aged 18 to 27 are still subject to conscription.

A citizen can only be called up after the age of 18 and cannot be sent to serve when he celebrated his 27th birthday.

Proposals to raise the age of conscription appear quite often, but so far they remain informational noise, followed by nothing.

Are conscripts themselves required to appear at the military registration and enlistment office if they have not received summons

Not yet obliged, but such a law, apparently, will be finally adopted very soon.

The essence of the law, which is being considered in the Duma and has already begun to pass the prescribed stages of approval, is that citizens of draft age will have to appear at the military registration and enlistment office themselves, even if they did not sign for receipt of summonses.

The rule will work like this:

  • Another conscription is announced in Russia, and a young man from 18 to 27 years old who has not settled the issues with his conscription must wait for a summons.
  • The call ends, but the citizen did not receive the summons for one reason or another - for example, he deliberately avoided receiving it.
  • Before the start of the next draft campaign, the young man is obliged to independently appear at the military registration and enlistment office for a summons.

For example, if this law is adopted this year, then those young people who do not receive a summons as part of the autumn draft will be required to appear at the military registration and enlistment office in January-March 2019 and receive a summons on the dates of the spring draft. If a citizen does not do this, he will automatically be recorded as a dodger with all the consequences that follow from the law.

In our country, the planned spring call for service in the ranks of the Russian army continues. Only a month remains until the end, and the topic of the order of conscription and its terms is still relevant for many citizens. Conscription to the army in 2018: conscription dates and start / end dates of the spring and autumn conscription campaigns in Russia.

Terms of conscription into the Russian army in 2018: start and end dates

Conscription for compulsory military service in our country takes place 2 times a year: in spring and autumn. This year, the call-up dates have not changed, and in general, the following dates apply:

  • from April 1 to July 15, spring conscription takes place,
  • From October 1 to December 31, the autumn draft into the army takes place.

In the periods from July 16 to September 30, as well as from January 1 to March 31, there are no calls for service.

However, it should be borne in mind that the draft terms given by us are general. They will be relevant for most potential recruits, but sometimes the law provides for certain exceptions to the general rule. For a number of categories of conscripts, the terms of both options for conscription may be shorter.

Such exceptions are provided for in article 25 of the law on conscription for military service:

  • From May 1 to July 15, as well as from November 1 to December 31, residents of the Far North and areas equivalent to it are drafted into the army. Thus, the spring and autumn conscriptions in these subjects start a month later than in other regions, but end at the same time with them.
  • From October 15 to December 31, there is an autumn conscription campaign in rural areas, in the event that conscripts are working on harvesting. In this case, the postponed conscription dates apply exclusively to autumn, when the conscription begins two weeks later than usual.
  • From May 1 to July 15, young teachers are called up for service - there is no autumn call-up for teachers liable for military service at all, and the spring one begins for this category a month later than the others.

These are all exceptions provided by law. All other categories of recruits are required to appear at the military commissariat for the passage of all prescribed recruiting activities on general dates.

Although one can often hear proposals to increase the draft age in Russia, in 2018 the legislation did not undergo any changes in this regard. Citizens aged 18-27 still fall under the draft.

A citizen has the right to be called up for service only after the age of 18 and do not have the right to be sent to the army if he is already 27 years old.

Proposals to raise the draft age often arise, but at the moment they are nothing but a certain informational noise, followed by something concrete.

At the moment they are not obliged, but such a law seems to be finally adopted quite soon.

The essence of the law, which is being considered by the State Duma and has already begun its movement through the instances laid down for approval, is as follows: citizens of draft age will be obliged to appear at the military registration and enlistment office on their own, even without a signature in receiving the agenda.

This rule will work like this:

  • Another conscription campaign begins in Russia, and a young man aged 18-27, who has not resolved issues with his conscription, is waiting for a summons.
  • The call is coming to an end, but the citizen did not receive the summons for some reason.
  • Before the start of the next draft, such a young man must himself appear at the military commissariat for a summons.

For example, if this law is adopted this year, then young men who have not received a summons for the autumn draft campaign will be required to appear at the military commissariat in January-March 2019 and receive a summons as part of the spring draft. If they do not do this, they automatically fall into the number of draft dodgers with all the legal consequences.

Autumn conscription is the time when every young man of military age is obliged to appear at the first request of the military registration and enlistment office. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation approves the terms of the autumn conscription into the army. In this article, you will find out if the latest rules will apply in the fall of 2020.

Autumn conscription 2020 - when will it start, dates

In accordance with the existing regulations, the timing of the call must be carried out strictly within the approved period. If the deadlines are not met, such actions may be considered as a violation of the law. That is why the employees of the military registration and enlistment office are forced to recruit as soon as possible, organize a medical commission and deliver recruits to military units.

When does the autumn conscription start?

The start of the autumn conscription is October 1, 2020, and all military commissariats of the country will open their doors to recruits. This means that young people who did not have time to enter universities and colleges still have the opportunity to enroll in correspondence departments.

Which regions in Russia are exceptions to the timing of calls

The legislative acts also contain an article that regulates some regions of the Russian Federation to carry out conscription at other times. So, the military commissariat of the Far North will begin the call only on November 1, while the deadlines coincide with the generally accepted ones.

The law also regulates the timing of the recruitment of young people conducting teaching activities. In the autumn draft of 2020, they are exempted from appearing. They can be called only in the spring.

For those who live in villages and are engaged in harvesting, the deadlines are also postponed, provided that the guys confirm their employment with an employment contract or an entry in the work book. Otherwise, they are also drafted into the army

How long will you need to serve in the army in 2020

In 2020, the service life will be 1 year, and in order to change the terms, an official order to amend the current Federal Law will be required.

What has changed in the autumn call 2020

In the fall 2020 draft, some recruits may opt out of the deferment. This applies to siblings or sons of military personnel who died at military training camps or in the army. This also applies to holders of an academic degree, as well as full-time students of bachelor's, specialist's and master's programs.

Now young men called up before September 1 can apply for early demobilization. There must be a significant reason for this. For example, a child is born.

Serving in the army is the duty of every adult male citizen of the Russian Federation. Conscription to the army in 2018 has a number of important features, because almost every year there are new requirements for military service.

Regulatory legal acts define the conditions that must be met, because military service must be carried out by men who are ready for this according to their physical data, and they must also correspond to the draft age! The defense of the Fatherland in Russia, a multinational country, is strictly obligatory and has always been honorable, but in some regions there are also quite specific and important features for potential recruits.

Military service in 2018

What are the main features of urgent conscription into the army? In Russia, all adult male citizens of the country who have no contraindications due to their status or health must serve. Future conscripts must undergo a whole range of important events that are strictly necessary for everyone to go through:

  • at the age of 16, you must register with the military and receive a registration certificate;
  • having reached military age and having received a summons, it is strictly necessary to visit the military commissariat at the designated time;
  • the summons must be handed over personally to the conscript against his signature;
  • in case of failure to appear on the agenda, the legislation provides for administrative and criminal liability.

Passing a medical examination

After receiving the summons, a strict medical examination will follow, all future privates of the Russian army will certainly pass it, except for those who have a legal deferral. The medical commission, after a thorough comprehensive examination, will decide whether the conscript is fit for full-fledged military service. In total, the current legislation provides for 5 categories of fitness for military service:

  • fit;
  • suitable with few restrictions;
  • has a limited validity;
  • temporarily unfit for military service;
  • unfit.

It happens that the commission cannot, due to various controversial circumstances, make an unambiguous decision. In this case, the conscript is redirected to an inpatient or outpatient examination at a licensed medical institution. After a full treatment and the decision of the doctors, a new term for conscription is assigned. The next important step in sending to the army will be a medical report. A qualified draft board will issue its final verdict to the recruit. According to this conclusion, the future date is sent to send:

  • for military service;
  • call him for alternative civilian service;
  • grant a reprieve;
  • conduct an exemption from conscription;
  • put in reserve;
  • on legitimate grounds to grant freedom from military duty.

Russian legislation provides for enrollment in the reserve upon reaching 27 years. Since that time, a man is not subject to military service, regardless of the state of health.

Service life and time of organization of conscription into the army

The terms of conscription in the future 2018 provide for two calls - spring, which starts from April 01 and ends on July 15, and there is also an autumn one, which will last from October 01 to December 31 inclusive. during these periods.

Important!

There are several important exceptions to the rules - citizens of military age from the Far North will receive their summonses from May 1 to July 15, and also from November 1 to December 31. Those who live in rural areas and are engaged in harvesting and sowing work have a full right to implement the draft in the autumn - from October 15 to December 31. Teachers have such an opportunity - for the spring call from May 01 to July 15.

The main types of troops where they can be called up for service

In 2018, a potential recruit can get into the following types of troops:

  • ground troops;
  • air Force;
  • Navy;
  • strategic missile troops;
  • space troops;
  • airborne troops.

The specialty possessed by the conscript and the state of health are important. Traditionally, only the strongest and most physically resilient young people with a strong psyche and good health are taken to the Airborne Forces.

Who will not be drafted into the army in 2018?

A citizen will not be obliged to join the 2018 army if he:

  • has a permanent job in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
  • works in the Federal Security Service;
  • belongs to the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

There is an important limitation - if a citizen nevertheless decides to quit from there, but at that moment he is not 27 years old, then he will definitely receive a mandatory summons from the military registration and enlistment office!

Active military service will be avoided by:

  • adult men who have one or more convictions that are not expired;
  • citizens who are under investigation for a crime committed or under trial will avoid conscription;
  • serving their sentences in a penitentiary.
  • a university student will not serve if he receives full-time education;
  • graduate students;
  • the appearance of a second child in a legal marriage;
  • fathers who, due to insurmountable circumstances, are forced to raise the baby on their own and without support, are not subject to conscription;
  • guardians of elderly citizens who have sick relatives as dependents:
  • young men with very serious health problems will not join the ranks of the Russian army.

Important!

There are several more categories of citizens who legally may not serve in the army - foreigners who have served in the armed forces of another state and future military personnel who have lost their older brothers during military clashes in hot spots. They will take you into the army if you were expelled from the university and you are studying by correspondence.

Diseases for which they are not called up for service

Diseases for which they do not take to serve in the army are quite numerous. You can divide them into several large subgroups.

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system

Musculoskeletal disorders that are not accepted into the army - scoliosis of the 2nd degree with a deformation of at least 11 degrees, flat feet, called the bear foot in the 3rd stage, deformities and other diseases of the hands or feet - for example, the absence of several fingers, arthrosis and arthritis of the second degree or higher, affecting the legs.

Cardiovascular pathologies

If the conscript has hypertension - pressure exceeding the threshold of 150 over 90,
chronic vegetovascular dystonia, which is quite severe - periodic fainting and constant dizziness, the presence of heart disease and ischemia. We have listed the most important deviations that occur in real practice.

hearing problems

The presence of chronic otitis media and complete deafness can become an insurmountable obstacle to military service.

Diseases of the digestive system

Difficulties with the digestive system may well lead to a delay in military service. Such a reason may be a hernia, which limits the patency of the intestine, pancreatitis in its chronic form, stomach and duodenal ulcers, hemorrhoids. Gallstone disease is a serious disease that prevents service.

Problems with the genitourinary system

They do not take into the army conscripts with chronic enuresis, urolithiasis and dropsy of the testicle, sexual dysfunction and hyperplasia.

Other chronic diseases

A barrier to service will be stuttering, which seriously distorts speech, diabetes mellitus, and obesity above the 2nd degree. Patients with chronic hemorrhoids, tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis, oncological diseases are also not useful in military service. Mental problems are a serious reason for exemption from the army:

  • the appearance of obsessive states;
  • pronounced phobias;
  • chronic schizophrenia;
  • pathology of the respiratory system.

The presence of chronic alcoholics and drug addicts in the army is contraindicated, but it will be strictly necessary to confirm the presence of a permanent persistent addiction, which is confirmed by the relevant documents!

You can find a complete list of diseases with which they are not taken into the army in 2018 (disease schedule) at.

What categories of citizens are granted a deferment from military service?

A deferment for a potential soldier is just a temporary opportunity to avoid the obligation to serve in the army. Together with its end, you will have to repay your homeland. The official reason not to go to the service for a strictly defined period is:

  • state of temporary unfitness for service;
  • caring for a sick relative who is currently no one to look after;
  • the presence of a disabled child under 3 years;
  • pregnant wife for more than 26 weeks;
  • PhD students defending their thesis;
  • postponement due to studying at a higher or secondary educational institution;
  • a deferment for a student who needs to get time to enter a university or college.

Important!

The postponement will be carried out only if the necessary documents are available - a diploma of education, a certificate of admission to graduate school, a medical certificate indicating the presence of serious health problems

The number of implemented deferrals is unlimited - you can get them not only after graduation, but also when a student transitions from a bachelor's program to a master's program. You can only take advantage of the call-up delay when studying at an officially licensed institution!

Various forms of military service

Since 2017, the state has been providing conscripts with the opportunity to independently choose the form of implementation of military debt to the country. Can choose:

  • alternative service for 21 months;
  • contract service with the receipt of full monetary and clothing allowance;
  • complete military service for a year.

By 2018, you can independently choose which military service seems more attractive to you.

Important!

It is planned to gradually reduce the proportion of conscripts in the army, gradually replacing them with professionals. By 2020, more than 85% of its personnel should serve in the army on a contract basis.

Features of conscription in the army in 2018

According to the constitution, men from all regions of Russia are subject to service, but there are several features of the call. Conscripts from the Crimea serve only on the territory of their peninsula, and in the Chechen Republic for several previous years, young men were not called up because of some local specifics. Natives of Chukotka, the Yamalo-Nenets District and Yakutia must serve, but the draft there is adjusted, starting only on May 1 and ending on July 15. In terms of its term in 2018, the service life will remain familiar - 1 year.

For some, conscription into the army is a long-awaited and exciting event, but for someone it is a difficult and burdensome duty, despite this, everyone wants to know what to prepare for, what the conditions for conscription will be, and most importantly, how long to serve.

Military service in 2018

The Committee of the State Duma on Defense many times submitted for consideration the issue of increasing the service life, the main argument in favor of this, he considered the shortage of ordinary soldiers in all military units, in addition, the current service life of one year cannot provide the necessary knowledge and skills defenders of the country. It is simply impossible to train real specialists in such conditions. Despite all the facts and arguments, the President of the Russian Federation rejected the proposed bill, categorically refusing to increase the service life. On the other hand, he has the right to reconsider his decision at any time, it is quite possible that the presidential elections in 2018 will also play a role in changing the length of service in the ranks of the country's armed forces.

What is the call? In fact, this is a set of activities that a conscript must go through. First you need to get on the military register. Upon reaching military age and receiving a summons, it is necessary to visit the military commissariat at the appointed time. The summons is issued personally in the hands of the conscript against signature on receipt. Delivery of the summons is determined by time, in case of failure to appear on the summons on time, both administrative and criminal liability is provided.

This is followed by a mandatory medical commission, it is passed by all those liable for military service, with the exception of those who have a deferment from conscription. This commission, after a thorough examination, makes a decision on the suitability of the conscript for military service. In total, there are 5 categories of fitness for military service.

  • A - fit;
  • B- fit with minor restrictions;
  • B - limited fit;
  • G - temporarily unfit;
  • D is unsuitable.

There are cases when the commission cannot make an unambiguous decision, in connection with which the conscript is sent for an inpatient or outpatient examination in a medical institution. After which a new term of conscription is appointed. After receiving a medical opinion, the draft board issues its verdict to the conscript, he can be sent to military service, called up for alternative civilian service, granted a deferment, released from conscription, enrolled in the reserve, or released from military duty altogether. Men who have reached the age of 27 and have not completed military service for any reason are removed from the military register.

2018 military recruitment deadlines. 2018 recruiting campaign

Many are interested in the dates of conscription next year, despite the fact that it is almost impossible to prepare for this, all the same, everyone wants to know when this day is possible. There are two drafts, spring, starting from April 01 and ending on July 15, as well as autumn, which lasts from October 01 to December 31, it is possible to draft into the ranks of the armed forces only during these periods.

There are exceptions to these rules, as recruits from the Far North receive summons from May 01 to July 15, and from November 01 to December 31. Those living in rural areas and engaged in harvesting and sowing work are eligible for conscription in the fall from October 15 to December 31, teachers, teachers for spring conscription from May 01 to July 15.

Spring conscription 2018, autumn conscription 2018

The President of the Russian Federation has repeatedly expressed his vision of the future army of our country. The first step in the change was to reduce the service life, since 2006 it has decreased from 24 months to 12, which pleased not only many recruits, but also their parents. Despite all attempts by the Civil Service Committee on Defense to increase the term by at least half, the president stands his ground. The main idea is to create a permanent contract army in which trained professionals in their field will serve.

It was planned that by 2018 conscripts would make up only 15% of the entire active army of the Russian Federation, this will become possible only with the popularity of contract service. Now conscripts have the right to choose service, 1 year - urgent, 2 years - contract. Among other things, the presidential decree increased the age limits for professional military service, in total by 5 years.

The Russian army at all times was famous for its courage and organization, it was honorable and prestigious to serve in it, every boy dreamed of becoming a pilot or tanker. Gradually, the prestige of the army declined, many young men began to hide from the draft, many were afraid of violence from their colleagues. Today, our army is going through not the best of its times, but gradually it is once again becoming a reliable support for the country and citizens, again thousands of boys want to take the oath, to become officers.
